U.K.: Ruling overturns Home Office decision barring Geert Wilders from the country

Good news, in an update on this story. "Dutch MP overturns UK entry ban," from BBC News, October 13 (thanks to all who sent this in):

Far-right Dutch MP Geert Wilders has won an appeal against a Home Office decision barring his entry to the UK.

"Far-right": Media-speak for "frightens children, barks at other people's dogs, and makes Cratchit work on Christmas."

The Asylum and Immigration Tribunal ruling overturns a government decision that led to Mr Wilder being turned back at Heathrow in February.
The Freedom Party leader - who has been accused of Islamophobia - was due at a House of Lords' screening of his film linking the Koran to terrorism.

Then the Middle East, the Horn of Africa, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Malaysia are chock-full of Islamophobes.

The Home Office said it was disappointed at the new ruling.

Ridiculous mischaracterization and moral equivalence in 3... 2...

A spokesman said: "We are disappointed by the court's decision. The government opposes extremism in all its forms.
"The decision to refuse Wilders admission was taken on the basis that his presence could have inflamed tensions between our communities and have led to inter-faith violence. We still maintain this view."
Mr Wilders faces trial in his own country for inciting hatred.
In February, he had been invited to the House of Lords to show his controversial film Fitna, which caused outrage across the Muslim world when it was posted on the internet last year.
When he was refused entry, Mr Wilders told the BBC it was a "very sad day" for UK democracy.
"I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm not protesting or running through the streets of London," he said.
"Democracy means differences and debate. It's a very sad day when the UK bans an elected parliamentarian."...

Great news. Now he should sue the Home Office for unfair discrimination and make a beeline back to Blighty to show his film wherever he can.

"We are disappointed by the court's decision. The government opposes extremism in all its forms.

What a joke hypocrite...barring people you don't like, simply because you don't like them, is a serious form of extremism in itself...Shades of Michael Savage...his ban is still on...The British gov does not like him much either...Yet to be fair, they have imported known terrorists, let them stay, and even support them...Any government who caters to terrorists and hates Michael Savage and Geert, can't be all bad...just mostly...

He should now show his film in Rotherham, the constituency of Lord Ahmed, the real inflamer of tension and violence, who threatened to rally 10,000 Muslims outside parliament if the film were shown.

"The government opposes extremism in all its forms."

I should be use to it but it still sounds outrageous to hear it called a form of extremism to present the evident truth about an extremely dangerous movement that anyone can check out for himself. That real political extremism can't be discussed publicly by politicians is just absurd. Britain must have the sense to vote in a party with a sane Home Office ASAP.

"Great" Britain, will happily allow any and all Islamic extremists into this country with open arms. However if you have a different political ideology to their neo-marxist ideas you are automatically called a Racist, Nazi,Fascist etc. M. Wilders is only telling the truth.
THIS IS NOT ALLOWED IN OUR UTOPIA!(although threatening to "behead all those who insult Islam" is, apparently!)
Veel succes

It is difficult to get into the narrow leftwing heads that apparently still occupy the UK's Home Office. No doubt these people would have thrown Winston Churchill out office in a heart beat and paid even greater homage to the Pacifist Neville Chamberlain who foolishly tried to appease and sign peace treaties with a man determined to conquer the world. Chamberlain finally woke up to the growing nightmare that was the Third Reich in his last 10 months of life and tried to do "do diligence" in building a war policy for Britain but by then millions of lives where headed for death over the next 5 years.

Clearly Churchill tried to warn his countrymen of the scourge of Hitler and he was dismissed as what is now defined as a right wing extremist. Churchill already had a grip on the danger that Islam represented in his book "The River Wars" written well over 100 years ago and most assuredly his ghost would have stood side by side with Geert Wilders today.

The left in this world has a problem when they look at history and fail to learn from it time and time again.

Geert Wilders recognizes that you cannot look at the rest of the world threw rose colored glasses, he recognizes the threat to free democracies in the Western World and yet he is demonized for doing so by those who are somehow convinced that you can deal with the aggressive determinations of Islam. The greatest danger to Western societies are the Dhimmy Carters, and Barack Hussein Obama's of the world and those who profess their narrow ignorant thinking.

A present day example of dhimmitude.

Fitna, which caused outrage across the Muslim world...

It isn't difficult to cause outrage across the Muslim world.

"...his film linking the Koran to terrorism."

Then the Middle East, the Horn of Africa, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Malaysia are chock-full of Islamophobes.

Not to mention New York City, London, Rome, Paris, Moscow, Amsterdam, Sydney, Toronto...

"The decision to refuse Wilders admission was taken on the basis that his presence could have inflamed tensions between our communities and have led to inter-faith violence. We still maintain this view."

Violence from who I wonder? No doubt the Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, ...(fill in the blank as long as it's not Islam) communities were poised to explode into lawlessness upon Wilders visit. I believe the real fear here was not one of potential violence but simply that such violence (which would no doubt occur) would strip yet another layer off the fantasy known as multiculturalism. Let the conflagration come and may the scales mercifully be removed from our eyes.

There is only one party in the U.K. with a sane approach,( I dare not speak it's name), however, as I write, a court case is due to commence shortly which, if successful, will effectively make it an illegal organization. Don'tcha just love the "new" democracy?

"Far-right Dutch MP Geert Wilders"

The BBC must be held to account. The BBC itself should be made a campaign issue: its coverage of Islam and of subjects related, clearly, to its Defense and Protection of Islam (as its grotesque and incessant coverage of Israel and Israel's attempts to defend itself against a Jihad that the BBC has been in the forefront of those refusing to recognize) have weakened the natural defenses of those in the Western world who listen to it. Its personnel -- start with John Simpson (google "John Simpson" and "Hugh" and "Jihad Watch" for more), then go to Frank Gardner, or nasty-voiced Lyse Doucet, or Orla Guerin, the PLO sympathizer (and why not? she married one), and Barbara Plett, who wept uncontrollably while reporting on the death of Yassir Arafat, and so many more -- need to be discharged, and replaced by those who are not Defenders and Protectors of Islam, nor antisemites (antisemitism is always and everywhere to be deplored, but there are times in history when the antisemite is not merely disgusting but constitutes a national or civilisational security risk, as in the late 1930s), but have a clear sense of Great Britain, of the West, and of the threat not only to the West, but to All the (Non-Islamic) Rest, of Islam.

The BBBC requires a complete change of personnel and policies. This has to be done. It doesn't matter what the Gulf Arabs think, how they will be outraged, nor does their money matter now. Everything is at stake. The Gulf Arabs should be ignored or told to go to hell.

"Money can buy everything, except civilisation."

A spokesman said: "We are disappointed by the court's decision. The government opposes extremism in all its forms."

Except in the form of Islam, the most extreme belief system in world history.

"The decision to refuse Wilders admission was taken on the basis that his presence could have inflamed tensions between our communities and have led to inter-faith violence."

By this logic, then, 7/11 was ok cuz it apparently did not inflame tensions, although it may have led to a deeper understanding in the secret thoughts of many Englishmen.

*** 49:16 ***

Mr Wilders faces trial in his own country for inciting hatred.

Hatred. Reminds me of Yale Law alumnus Hillary Clinton and her enthusiasm for hate crime laws, which are clearly unconstitutional and limiting of free speech.

*** 3:19 ***

By institutionalizing itself as a fake religion, the Moslems pulled Islam well above all other belief systems, unassailable in its assaults, beneficient in its hatreds.

I don't want to live in a society that gives muslims no reason to feel outraged.....can I get an amen?

The government opposes extremism in all its forms.

Yup, and if objective reality is extreme, chuck it. I still have trouble believing the hair-growing-out-of-their-ears radical-wannabe ex-yippie sociology professors we all used to snicker at in college have somehow taken charge of western civilization. Oh well, I do have some old Pink Floyd on my iPod...

An article by Philip Johnston in The Telegraph, about the current travails of Jacqui Smith:

"It has not been Jacqui Smith’s week to say the least (and it is only Tuesday). First. an official report into the arrest of Damian Green, ther Tory immigration spokesman, criticised the disproportionate approach taken by the Government and the police towards the informaiton leaked to him. Green was arrested last year after an investigation was ordered by the Home Office alleging that national security could be at stake. And who was the Minister in charge: Jacqui Smith, then Home Secretary.

Then, the House of Commons standards and privileges committee concluded that she had breached parliamentary rules by claiming that a room in her sister’s London house was her principal residence rather than the family home in Redditch. She apologised to the House, though in a half-hearted way.

Now, the Appeal Court has overturned her decision to ban the Dutch politician Geert Wilders from coming to Britain. He was invited in February to show a film about Islam to a group of parliamentarians but the Home Office refused him entry to the UK. At the time this was seen as an affront to this country’s traditions of free speech but that did not seem to bother the Government.

So she breached expenses rules, closed off free speech and set in train an investigation that led to an MP’s arrest in the Palace of Westminster (though she was abroad at the time and apparently unaware that the police were going to act).

What an extraordinary legacy for the occupants of one of the great offices of state. Had Miss Smith not stood down in the summer, she most assuredly would be packing her bags by now."

Johnston leaves out mention of another example Smith's fiddling of the Exchequer: her including as Member-of-Parliament expenses to be reimbursed by British taxpayers, her husband's rental of pornographic films. Perhaps, in a certain sense, these were expenses incurred because she was an MP; apparently he rented the films only when she was in London on Her Majesty's Service.

Good for Geert Wilders

I still have trouble believing the hair-growing-out-of-their-ears radical-wannabe ex-yippie sociology professors we all used to snicker at in college have somehow taken charge of western civilization.

But it makes sense in retrospect. Being lazy-assed bums, the ex-hippies naturally migrated to jobs in universities, well endowed foundations, newspapers, TV stations, government agencies, and other places of employment where actual work is not required.

Their takeover of academe, media, and government will one day prove to have been the 3-pronged death-blow that stabbed freedom to its final death, Psycho shower scene-style.

*** 68:3 ***

The rest of us went to work in manufacturing, engineering, banking, farming, military, and other relatively powerless fields of endeavor.

*** 97:1 ***

When the wonders of Islamic Science were extolled from the mouth in the South Central Los Angeles of Prez Obama's face, he shoulda put in a word on the great history of the famous Moslem Work Ethic.

No wonder Globo-Socialists are natural the allies of Moslems.

Thank you, Father God! Thank you Great Britain! Please, PLEASE, wake up!

Never will one see the BBC refer to a person as being "far-left" and thus we observe the bias outright, which the BBC is either clueless or brazen about. In any case, this is good news and a battle won for freedom in a war that is going to last a very long time. And my deepest respect goes to Geert Wilders once again, a major champion in our time of liberty and truth.

The far-left philo-Islamic antisemitic BBC calls Geert Wilders "far right."

I would have no trouble explaining, and thoroughly justifying, all three of those epithets above -- far-left, philo-Islamic, antisemitic. I think the BBC would have a much harder time trying to justify its characterization of Geert Wilders as "far right."

Perhaps it would like to take a stab at it. Perhaps it would like to tell the world what, aside from Geert Wilders's intelligent worry over the effect of a seemingly-unstoppable rise in the Muslim presence in Western Europe, would qualify him to be described, by the BBC, "far right"? Where does Geert Wilders stand on taxation? On education policy? On the environment? On anything at all -- does the BBC know a thing about Geert Wilders?

And, furthermore, why should opposition to, worry about, fear of, the growing Muslim presence in Western Europe, with the Daw'a that is so appealling to the psychically and economically marginal, and the attempts to change the laws and customs of the free and advanced Western world, be "right-wing"? Before there was Geert Wilders, there was Pim Fortuyn, murdered by a weak-minded "animal rights" activist who had been persuaded that Pim Fortuyn's opposition to Muslims could be seen as oppression of the "weak" and assimilated to the "oppression by men of helpless animals." Van de Graaf, the murderer of Pim Fortuyn, was mentally manipulated by Muslims who used him as the instrument for their own cause.

What about Theo van Gogh? "Right-wing" was he? The threatened-with-death Ayaan Hirsi Ali? Is she "the right-wing Ayaan Hirsi Ali"?

How about that famous life-long leftist, whose Greek lover Panagoulis was a real victim of the far-right, murdered by the gang of Greek colonels (see Papadopoulos), Oriana Fallaci who came from a long line of anti-clericl republican Tuscan patriots, who in her youth, at the age of 14, was risking her life to help the Resistance in Florence -- did she become, after a life in which she saw, up close, Khomeini and Arafat and Khaddafy, saw what they and those who worshipped or followed them were all about, realized the terrible threat to Western Europe from Muslims, did she, Oriana Fallaci, become "the right-wing Oriana Fallaci" in the eyes of the disgusting, the sickening, the intolerable speakers and writers of the BBC?

Hugh,

Hugh baby! Ease up:

"...disgusting, the sickening, the intolerable speakers and writers "

Talk about the pot calling the kettle "black!"

Peace
Abdullah

Abdullah- You know you hang on every word Hugh writes.

Another example of the arab-wannabee abdullah mikhail posting inanities to justify his paycheck from his arab paymasters at CAIR.

I have to wonder how much CAIR pays their slave abdullah to monitor this site. Do they realize what a bunch of dreck he posts? They must be desperate losers to have to keep a clown like that on the payroll.

From post above...Abdullah- You know you hang on every word Hugh writes.

LOL...Next to Allah, Hugh da man...

Did you just call the kettle BLACK? What a racist. (leastways here in the happy multi-culti U.K. it would certainly be deemed so). Peace.

A common sense ruling, negating Jacqui Smith’s politically-loaded decision, made during her short and undistinguished career as Home Secretary.

Understand that Wilders will meet with UKIP’s Lord Pearson as early as next week – and I hope that the cancelled screening of Wilders excellent short film Fitna, with a discussion to follow, will be reorganised.

If it’s on and I can go – I will do so and report back.

Delighted to hear of this legal blow to the intolerant and authoritarian British Dhimmi Labour Government.

ALRIGHT!!!!
Flasher mac and kinky undies a-go-go, Geert's comin' to town! Someone up there is listening to my prayers...

Detailed and exhaustive rebuttal there Abdullah, I bet Hugh will be smarting after that one!

Sweet. Congratulations to Geert Wilders. The ban should never have been put into place to begin with. So, how long before the usual suspects take to the streets in protest of this welcome reversal? (3...2...1...)

Now, it's time to lift the similarly ridiculous and misguided ban on Michael Savage.

Victory!! Go Geert!!!

And you are right Hugh. The BBC needs to be brought to heel.
Those of us who are forced to pay the BBC licence should be getting organised in some way to speak our minds about these things.
I wrote them a letter of protest about their unfair coverage of Israel the last time I paid mine but I don't think one letter phases them.

Abdullah you can butt out. This has nothing to do with you.
You have enough to deal with trying to islamify Texas.

You have already lost the battle!!!

I would agree. He does not even seriously try to argue his points anymore. Of course, I suspect that they do get different people using that nickname when they post their responses on this site. CAIR really does undercut its campaign when it hires such low grades to post on various websites.

You can run but you cannot hide, the torch of light Geert Wilders bears is revealing the scorching truth which so much reviles all muslims especially those who now pollute our streets, neighborhoods, cities and countries with the brainwashing lies of their false prophet, homicidal, megalomaniacal , invading , child molesting, bastard, a.k.a. muhaMAD.

AM:

Could you answer my questions from a previous thread?

You claimed that Robert et all are engaged in "yellow journalism" and when you were challenged on this you only gave the definition of yellow journalism and said "JW to a t".

I think you should take a look at another definition. Libel:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&defl=en&q=define:libel&ei=Qp_PStX6PJLYsQPGp-zEDg&sa=X&oi=glossary_definition&ct=title&ved=0CAoQkAE

"libelous - calumniatory: (used of statements) harmful and often untrue; tending to discredit or malign"

If you can't prove it, its libel. A Definition isn't proof. You were asked for proof, not a definition.

AM: "did not intend you to infer that the "racist" comment in any way applied to Islam. People who are religious bigots are not racist, they are bigots."

You called someone who criticized Islam a "racist skinhead", prompting someone to ask YOU what race Islam was, so I'm not convinced you have the two straight. It was a while in the past, so do you now realize you were wrong?

You didn't answer my questions on Israel.

AM on Isreal: "Review the UN declarations about their violations and see how many times Israel proved it deserved the “rights” of being a sovereign nation based upon how they treated the occupied peoples…"
All things being equal you think Saudia Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, Afganastan, Pakastan, Yemen, Etc. all don't deserve the rights of being sovereign nations too, right or at least should be criticized equally with Israel?

Could you be more specific about civil rights abuses in Is real and why you think they are occupying Gaza? I never seem to get a clear idea of specifically what Israel is doing that is "occupying" from critics of Israel.
Is it the wall Israel constructed to prevent suicide bombers to the civilians?
The military strikes back to civilian land that the rockets are coming from?
What do you think Israel should do about Gaza's attacks? Whenever I ask this you talk about "words and deeds" but I want a REAL answer. Do you think if Israel stopped responding to attacks the attacks and pulled out settlements, they would stop? Why? What else would Israel have to do?

You didn't answer my question about what you meant about not being recognized as a Jewish state. I showed it was by the UN, so do you admit you were you mistaken, or did you mean not recognized by Islam/Muslim countries or something else?

Once again, you refuse to admit that your analogy of "old enough to know pouring offal on someone means they are old enough for sex."
I don't care if you got the person wrong, to make such an analogy is disgusting.

"I never said that people who protest in a violent manner were not Muslims. I said certain actions can remove one from Islam when one is doing them and insisting on continuing to do them...this can remove one from Islam. Killing an innocent person is one of them...it is forbidden and it is not an act of Islam, yet counter to its teachings."

So you're saying shouting racist genocidal things and "protesting in a violent manor" doesn't stop them from being Muslim? Fair enough. But if that's so, my point still stands. There's hundreds if not thousands of muslims out there who are perpetrating hate that perhaps you should be ministering to and teaching them they are on the wrong path and what their doing is un-islamic, rather than preaching at the people who point out these people's disgusting actions.

"I have to wonder how much CAIR pays their slave abdullah to monitor this site. Do they realize what a bunch of dreck he posts? They must be desperate losers to have to keep a clown like that on the payroll." -- Yankel

Of course they are "desperate losers," Yankel. They're Mohammedans, 7th century AD Islamic primitive, savage, Barbarians.

Such as "abdullah mikail." A primitive, savage, loser, Islamic Barbarian. Oh, and "clown." An "ass-clown."

Tell your boss, "Dougie Hooper," the Loser, hello, "slave to allah."

""The government opposes extremism in all its forms.""

They already adapted Islamo-jargon. Spoken as if it came from 'Lord' Ahmed himself.

Now lets see if he will have the hide to rouse 10.000 believers to the fight when Wilders comes...

Jesus,

That is f@cked. Form the website you posted, “…we have had enough of democracy and man-made law and the depravity of the British culture. On this day we will call for a complete upheaval of the British ruling system its members and legislature, and demand the full implementation of Shari'ah in Britain.”

And the day they picked, October 31st! HA! Don’t they “trick or treat” in the UK? How’s the peeps supposed to tell this group of zombies apart from the rest of the Ghouls on All Hallow’s Eve? What a bunch of retards. I’m sending this to the EDL.

Over at Atlas, Pam posted that Geert will be going to CU in NY on the 21st of October. Apparently, access is limited to CU staff, students and alma mater. I sent them an e-mail asking to go since I’m not to far away during my present training. Guess I’ll find out if someone who has spent 25 years fighting for freedom can attend a speech by someone who is so outspoken for the very same cause.

Try pulling rank as a member of the Canadian military, i.e. as a citizen of a Friend and Ally, with combat points from time served in the Sandbox.

DD,

I did pull rank, without actually saying what rank I am, and my Veteran status is limited to my three tours in Bosnia as part of NATO. The sandbox is yet to come next summer for 9 months - we do a lot of pre-deployment training before we send our troops. Something the staff at Boeing reflected upon over the last three weeks where we keep a fully professional standing military as opposed to the States, where a majority of their troops are not brought into the system as a career, but as mission oriented specialized members for a specific use, where only a few get recognized to make the next step to make a career.

Don’t get me wrong, I do not minimilize the sacrifice and duty carried out by any US troops from any branch of their service. It is just unfortunate for them that they don’t all get the same opportunities to make a career out of if from the get go, which in many ways makes their sense of duty even more a sacrifice for their nation than many other countries.

Regardless, either way, if I do get (or don’t) a response, I’ll be sure to post it.

Hugh, I agree absolutely with everything you say about the BBC, but the situation is worse than you think in that the bbc/government has just appointed a new head of religious programmes for this Christian country, you've guessed it, a muslim! So many of their programmes in light entertainment in the form of a soap operas etc., always includes this government's insidious indoctrinating, controlling, p.c., agenda but most of the Brits seem to be totally unaware of this.

The refreshing demonstration of common sense exhibited by the UK's Asylum and Immigration Tribunal's ruling seems regrettably to have had no effect whatsoever on the government's position. Unfortunately, it seems that the people of the UK government would rather cling to their disastrously unreasonable positions and insane policies than deal with reality and face the truth.
