The promised follow-up to "Jihad is its path and death for the sake of Allah its most sublime belief." In order to get over the September 30 'out of order' administrative hurdle, I suggested a 'gentleman's agreement' in reaction to a request to 'look to the future'. The result was I was able to read my joint statement for the WUPJ and the Simon Wiesenthal Center slowly, taking 3 minutes, without the President stopping me or making any comment after.
Enough has been written about the shameful 12th Special Session of the Human Rights Council without me adding more, except to say that the decision by France and the UK not to participate in the vote at all ('yes', 'no' or 'abstain') is the first time, to my knowledge over the 25 years, that they have acted thus. The real question is why?
The most extraordinary NGO statement was delivered by Col. Richard Kemp, former commander of the British forces in Afghanistan, who served with NATO and the UN, and commanded troops in Northern Ireland, Bosnia and Macedonia. Speaking under the auspices of UN Watch, he declared solemnly at the start and as his conclusion: "Based on my knowledge and experience, I can say this: During Operation Cast Lead, the Israeli Defence Forces did more to safeguard the rights of civilians in a combat zone than any army in the history of warfare." We are grateful to the Palestinian Authority for initiating this 12th Special Session which should send a clear message on the Council's priorities when we consider all the horrendous human rights tragedies currently happening worldwide. Abba Eban, Israel's famous foreign minister, put it very pertinently in one line after the 1973 Geneva Peace Conference: "The Arabs never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity." [21/12/1973]Our statement relate to B §2 to 4 of the current draft resolution [A/HRC/S-12/L.1], referring to the Goldstone / Gaza report & to C §3: "Stressing that the right to life constitutes the most fundamental of all human rights."
As we pointed out on 30 September here, neither the 452 pages of the Mission's Gaza Report [A/HRC/12/48], nor that of the High Commissioner [A/HRC/12/37], make any mention of a root cause of the Gaza tragedy - the genocidal 1988 Hamas Charter: a Charter that calls for Jews to be killed and Israel eliminated; a Charter which, like Hitler, quotes a crude forgery, The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, inspiring a terrorist regime to systematically teach a culture of hate and death to children and adults in schools, the press & TV.
[In his 1924 preface to Mein Kampf, Hitler explained: "A doctrine can only keep its uniformity if it has been fixed in writing forever". Few took Hitler seriously, preferring to sleep through the 1930s. The Hamas Charter fits this Nazi-like pattern and its preface quotes Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna: "Israel will exist and continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it."]This Charter [which we have denouncing here since the 1989 Commission (45th session, 31 January 1989)] goes further, including all Jews and Judaism: "Israel, Judaism & Jews challenge Islam and the Muslim people. 'Let the cowards never sleep.'" [Article 28] Article 7 quotes a 'saying' [hadith] widely preached in sermons by clerics, calling on Muslims to fight and kill Jews.1 Article 8 is the Hamas slogan, taken from the Muslim Brotherhood, & inspiring 'Jihadist Martyrdom Bombers' worldwide. In stressing the UN principle that: "the right to life constitutes the most fundamental of all human rights", we call on this 12th Special Session of the Council to condemn the Hamas Charter: a defamation of religion, a blueprint for murder, and a 'direct and public incitement to commit genocide', punishable under article 3 and 4 of the 1948 Genocide Convention. And also: to condemn, unequivocally, all calls to kill in the name of God, Allah, or religion - any religion.
Mr. President, should our call be ignored again - after such a weird, one-sided report, debate & resolution - the biblical prophesy would come to the mind of many of us here:

It's about time some said this. I doubt any army has ever conducted a raid into a populated area and killed so few people. We probably killed more than 1300 French civilians in the first few hours of Operation Overlord.
Those of us, Christians and Jews who 'have eyes to see' are left to fall back on our most basic religious beliefs on morality, basic natural moral law and our duty as created beings. We are face to face with EVIL as naked and uncompromising and perverse as ever in history. Hitler himself was not so brazen as our modern Islamic Nazis.
Only in our 'dust-covered Bibles' can we go back and find the uncompromising and undiluted Holy Rage toward these People of the Lie. Yet I still believe that God Loves Muslims and God Hates Islam and who knows how it will end?

Leaders of Israel are always most inspiring when they quote from their sacred national literature, the Hebrew Bible. It puts it all in context. Mene mene tekel u'pharsin -- counted counted -- weighed in the balance -- split asunder. That's the handwriting on the wall of the UN.
That's the same thing I thought, right from the start and then throughout the battle of Gaza. I am so glad that Col Richard Kemp has stated the facts.
I know enough about modern warfare - including the campaign that liberated Europe from Nazism - to know that, at the time when most media outlets were wailing and screeching about the 'civilian' Arab Muslim death toll in Gaza, even calling it 'genocide', what was astonishing was in reality the fact that the death toll was as LOW as it was, especially given the character of the terrain (an urban environment with all of Hamas jihad gang's men and materiel embedded amongst 'civilian' persons and institutions [e.g. schools, hospitals].)
Had the Israelis really intended to kill all or most of the persons in Gaza they could have done so.
Commentators who spoke glibly of 'carpet bombing' did not know of what they spake.

My penultimate paragraph should read, "Had the Israelis intended to kill all or most of the persons in Gaza, they could have done so; but it seems plain to me that they did not so intend, for they clearly did NOT kill anywhere near as many people as they might have done".
Exactly. When I heard the word "genocide" being thrown about, I had to laugh. I mean, the Israelis must be the most incompetent genocidists ever. :P
Then there was all the whining about white phosphorus. As if WP is actually useful as a weapon. "The evil IDF dropped WP on a UN compound and several people were injured. Oh the humanity!!!" Can you imagine the carnage if they had use normal HE-Quick rounds when they started taking fire from the compound? There were 800 people in an open courtyard with no cover. That place would have looked like an abattoir.
These statements are all wonderful and it's about time someone had the balls to come forward at the UN and tell them the way it was and still is in Gaza.
The only problem I see is "it's a waste of breath as it is falling on deaf ears" at the "United Arabic Nations".
I will say one thing, though, these statments remind me of the events leading up to declarations of world war two.
What you have asserted, dda, is quite true and the fact that Western news outlets don't acknowledge such is despositive of how slanted (and stupid) the Western media has become. Really, most of them are fools par excellence (Keith Olbermann would be my choice for best poster boy in this regard). Be it the major networks in America, the BBC, CBC, etc., we are faced with the reality that Islam is the primary enemy of Western Civilization and the Western media is facilitating this primary enemy in a big time way. Ditto for the Western academic elite, also an overeducated and smug collective idiot.
Wellington, might it be possible that much of what we are seeing has been orchestrated?
If I was in charge of a totalitarian communist country and wanted global communism to triumph, I'd do pretty much what Cleon Skousen outlined in The Naked Communist:

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture–education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use [”]united force[”] to solve economic, political or social problems.
43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

Islam is not the major threat we face.
I'm convinced that Islam has been deliberately introduced to the West by communist agency, and is just another aspect of the culture war aimed at us by the communists.
Wtach Russia and China(yeah, they no longer fit classic definitions of communist but the totalitarian streaks remain) when things begin to fall apart.

Jihad has never really stopped; the Empire of Islam was rolled back between 1683 and the 1930s, then as oil became more and more important (with everybody using cars more and more), the money flooded in to Iran and Arabia; as soon as Muslims had money to 'reconcile hearts' (bribery) and buy weapons, the Third Jihad began, and I think it would have proceeded exactly as it has, even had there been no encouragement from either Nazis or Communists.
The Ikhwan was founded in the 1920s as a revivalist Muslim movement identical with other revivalist/ purist movements that have preceded it throughout the history of Islam, and to judge from John Roy Carlson who met both Communists and Ikhwanists in Cairo just after World War II, those who were Communists in pre-Nasser Egypt, and those who were members of the Muslim Brotherhood, were quite separate and distinct, and indeed, mortal enemies (the Egyptian Communists were terrified of the Brotherhood; Iran mass-murdered most of their native Communists who had helped the Khomeinists topple the Shah; much good did the Persian communists get from their fanatical Mohammedan allies...death and destruction).
Fethullah Gulen with his Sufi order harks back to an ancient premodern pattern in Islam; everything he's doing fits with that.
Quite probably Russia and China are trying to use the Ummah against the West and very likely against each other as well; but I would be prepared to bet good money that at *exactly the same time* the schemers of the Ummah are playing (consciously, or perhaps even purely instinctively) the same game right back, the game they have played ever since the time of Mohammed, to 'split the camp' of the Infidels, to set one lot of Infidels against the others.
