Afghanistan: "Rogue policemen" murder five British soldiers

According to an American specialist on al BBCera this morning the Afghan "police" are poorly paid, notoriously corrupt and screening of recruits is minimal.

The training period of 8 weeks was too short anyway but even this was cut to only 5 weeks so there would be enough police to cover the elections. I hope all those western politicians who pushed for an early election are happy now.

Just like Mohammed Atta and others, pre 9/11 - they were the ideal citizens, courteous, polite, well-mannered.

Changing in a second, wreaking death and destruction upon thousands of innocent civilians as they had meticulously planned and rehearsed for years in advance. They received OBL's blessing, just as OBL received the blessing below.

The fact that OBL has received permission by an imam to use nukes on America with up to 10 million dead, should never be forgotten.

I wrote about this before. You go to such lengths so as to win a war and once you do, you let your enemies rule and be in charge again. Is this what they teach now at West Point?
Go there, stay there, make it yours, make you the rules,or are you scared of what Russia or China might think?

Another tragic example of why attempting to win the hearts and minds of Afghans, and trying to bring democracy to these primitive, tribal savages, is a complete and utter waste of time, treasure and lives, doomed to abject failure.

Why not just pull all troops out? And the next time an attack happens from that place, just level it with JDAMs or nukes. Of course, under the Obama-Clinton leadership, the other alternative would be to announce a submission to Islam.

Alexander, the British, the Russians, and sorry to say it but the Americans will high tail it out of there soon. To fight for rocks and primitive beliefs from those who'd turn viciously on their benefactors for the made up god, allah, made up by a primitive evil man, mohammed. This is not the norm. Our Afghan 'allies' are so riddled with Taliban informants that it is usually to there advantage to lay low. I think the Taliban wanted some serious UK casualties right now. This was NOT a suicide attack, the operation was well planned and the enemy got away.

And "mentoring is exactly what General McChrystal is suggesting we do more of. While he is broadly seen as a "tough" commander—especially compared to the squishiness of Barack Obama—in reality he is a big advocate of the old "winning hearts and minds" strategy.

He has urged American soldiers to ditch their body armor and to get out of their Humvees and mingle among "ordinary" Afgans. He has championed the idea of "mentoring" Afghan troops and policemen. He believes protecting Afghan "civilians"—from their fellow Afghans—is job one, far more important than the safety of American and Nato troops.

He is, no doubt, a decent fellow in many ways, and is certainly well-meaning. But I cannot help but think this "strategy" is going to get a lot more American troops killed.

This what McChrystal said in a recent interview:

Q. Another priority you have outlined is to accelerate the expansion of the Afghan security forces. It sounds like the main way to do that is to expand the partnerships between Afghans and Alliance forces. What improvements do you seek there?

A. Whether we grow the Afghan security forces larger or not, partnering closer is to our benefit. We can do that better than we have in the past.

What we need is a combination of mentoring and partnering. Mentoring involves people who stay with a unit all the time and teach as the unit evolves. Partnering is where you operate together. Our thought is to bring the concepts much closer together. So a unit is operating in a much tighter relationship.

This is a recipe for more incidents like the one above, which caused the death of these British soldiers.

"Success" in Afghanistan is failure. At the very best of chance of that "country" becoming civilised, at the cost of more good precious soldiers' lives and capital,it would "elevate" itself to another West-hating economic sink-hole vortex like Pakistan. What are we thinking? The war, the world-wide war, is primarily one of ideologies. The hold of Islam on the minds of its adherents is extaordinary. Usually that hold is obvious, is visible. Deception may be obvious in the case of this policeman in Afghanistan, or in the many other such examples of Afghan or Iraqi police and army who turned on their Infidel trainers and supposed comrades-in-arms, or for that matter, the examples of Muslims in the American military who killed fellow, but non-Muslim, soldiers, or deserted to the other side, or offered to provide intelligence so that attacks could be made on their units or their ships.

But Deception, Muslim deception, about the nature of Islam, and therefore about the permanent and immutable threat of Muslim populations to the non-Muslims among whom they have been allowed, so naively and so dangerously, to settle -- that is not yet recognized, that is not yet obvious to more than a few. But it will be.

When we engage these defenders of Islam, we need to defeat them completely and then move quickly o squelch any remnants of Islam, close all mosques, apostate all muslims through an edict handed down by the US Military. This edict will simply declare that all muslims are no longer muslim and Islam no longer exists.

Then we can minister to the newly freed souls and begin the long term goal of rebuilding the wounded land into nation that turns toward the light of Greece and not the darkness of Mecca.

Yet another great post Hugh. Just want to emphasize the "settle" aspect of your point to "settling and exponential expansion" of muslim populations that we naively allow. Isn't polygamy illegal?!! The imam killed by the FBI in Detroit had TWELVE! kids and how many wives?

And how many other muslims are "going forth and multiplying" at our future and present expense? Even if the Mormons are equally guilty of the crime,we at least KNOW they're on our side.

I feel sorry for the womenfolk of these barbarians. However I think the best thing to do is to leave these people to it. We cannot impose western values on them. Its a waste of time, treasure and most importantly lives. We should get out of Afghanistan and impose a cordon sanitaire around it. Similiarly we should leave the Pakistanis, Iranians, Iraqis alone. We should react decisively without regard to loss of (muslim) life to each and every terrorist action. We should close our borders to immigrants, kick out the terrorists and thier families already resident and strip them of citizenship. We should ban mosque building unless they allow christian churches or places of worship in muslim countries. We should curtail drastically our use of oil and have a manhattan project to replace it. We should educate the populous of the west as to the threat posed by Islam and strip away the untruths of the western liberal elites. If push comes to shove and they threaten us in a major nuclear or biological way we should threaten to nuke the bastards and if neccesary follow it up. I am not going to sit around and be invaded by these barbarous hordes and if I have to defend myself, my family, culture and beliefs I will. These cretins only recognise force.

Mentoring sounds like a thankless job. This could've been the result of improper sensitivity training. Like in Sept when an Afghan policeman shot a US soldier for drinking water during Ramadan.

This proves once and for all what Afghans are like. Five British soldiers murdered in a sneak attack, on top of American soldiers earlier on. The likes of Winston Churchill, Lord Roberts, Rudyard Kipling and a whole host of Victorians would be branded as bigots and racists were they alive today to offer their sound advice. But thats political correctness and our troops are discovering the hard way that countries like Afghanistan and Iraq are nothing like Northern Ireland. If I hear mention of "They'll use their experiences gained in Northern Ireland" again, I'm sure my head will explode. Afghans are hostile to infidels - fact, as are all Muslims, because that is the only way to live according to the Koran. Their hearts and minds cannot be won. A rattlesnake is more trustworthy - at least it will use its rattle to warn people away, whilst in sharp contrast, these Muslims will smile at you today, make you think they're your friend, then proceed to shoot you in the back tomorrow. Rudyard Kipling had these lines in his poem "The Young British Soldier" which he wrote in 1892:

These lines are a reminder of what Afghans are like. Uncivilized, brutal, hateful, barbaric and misogynistic cutthroats. The life they had under the Taliban is the life they want to have, but politically correct Western politicians refuse to see that. There is the story of a US SEAL commander who lost 19 of his men in an ambush in Afghanistan because he gave the benefit of the doubt to a few goatherds, fearing the liberal libels that would appear in the press and the courtroom battles that would come had these goatherds been shot dead to keep a special ops operation secret. These goatherds showed their gratitude for being spared by telling the local Taliban, and we know the rest. That is what we can expect and nothing else. Nobody is innocent, not even a woman or a child in that godforsaken and backward Stone Age hellhole. They're all hostile with a voracious will to kill the infidel. Always have been and always will be. All the money in the world won't win them over. They've no desire to own Mercedes Benzes, Rolex watches, live in luxury villas and spend half their lives on world cruises. They don't want to become eminent scientists, and achieve everlasting fame by finding cancer cures. They only want to kill, and have more Islam, Islam, Islam rammed down their throats, and cut our throats. That is their purpose in life. Our Victorian ancestors knew that, yet we bumble along like idiots in our PC stupor, afraid of telling it as it is, lest we upset Muslims and the Leftist Taliban supporters and get branded as racists and bigots.

British soldiers have found the Afghan policemen, that they are supposed to be mentoring, to be arrogant, indolent and insolent. Not only are our soldiers being exposed to great danger from this drugged crazed, corrupt rabble they also have to take their insults and indifferent behaviour which undermines our boys' professionalism and ability to do their job.
