Attorney General to speak to Hamas-linked CAIR despite FBI ban

Right after Dawud Walid of CAIR-Michigan was defending the jihadist imam who was killed in a shootout with the FBI. Yet another Which-Side-Is-Obama-On Alert: "Despite ban, Holder to speak to CAIR-linked group," from Politico, November 9 (thanks to all who sent this in):

Attorney General Eric Holder has agreed to give a keynote speech next week to a Michigan group which includes the local branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations even though the FBI has formally severed contacts with the controversial Muslim civil rights organization.

On Nov. 19, Holder is scheduled to speak in Detroit to the first annual awards banquet of Advocates and Leaders for Police and Community Trust, a coalition of several dozen law enforcement and community groups. An online registration form for the event includes the Council on American Islamic Relations-Michigan on a list of "official & participating organizations."

A spokeswoman for ALPACT confirmed that CAIR is a member of the coalition.

"CAIR has been involved for a while," said Chandra McMillion, community development facilitator for ALPACT. "CAIR is listed as an official member."

The executive director of CAIR's Michigan chapter, Dawud Walid, also confirmed its involvement with ALPACT. "It's really nothing controversial. We've been part of this organization for years," he said. "We meet every month and included with us is the U.S. Attorney's Office, the FBI." [...]

The FBI claims it cut "formal contacts" with CAIR after federal prosecutors in the 2007 criminal trial of officers of a Texas-based Islamic charity, the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, introduced documents the government said showed links between CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood, which gave rise to Hamas.

"Until we can resolve whether there continues to be a connection between CAIR or its executives and HAMAS, the FBI does not view CAIR as an appropriate liaison partner," FBI Congressional liaison Richard Powers wrote in an April letter to Senator Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.). [...]

An FBI spokeswoman confirmed that the FBI's Special Agent-in-Charge in Detroit, Andy Arena, will serve as co-chair for the Nov. 19 dinner.

"We are co-chairing the event. We are not sponsoring the event," spokeswoman Jennifer Burnside said. She said the FBI "didn't have any role" in selling tickets for the event or in issuing invitations....

What a relief! If Burnside felt the need to distance the FBI from the event in these ways, why is Arena acting as the co-chair?

To couch the answer to the question of sides in Narnian terms, "the dwarves are for the dwarves."

Or, more plainly put: Obama is on the side of Obama.

For Holder, the real culprits are those who can be associated with the Bush Administration. CAIR is not on his radar screen respecting bad guys. America now has for their Attorney General a useful idiot par excellence. The guy is another Ramsey Clark.

Holder is the joker that accused Whites of being cowardly with regards to racism. he is using the race card at every turn while he gets terrorists off the hoke. another self hating American. needs to live in the land of the sowdis to understand what real racism looks like.

Holder's enemies are the tea party attendees, all radical, anti-american racists. The new reality: Up is down, wrong is right, defense is terrorism, tyranny is freedom, not paying your taxes is patriotic, spend tons of money to prevent losses, community organizing means organizing the Islamic Caliphate. Mullah Holder sounds about right, or is that left?

Omg. Imagine if John Ashcroft had spoken at an event where the Klan or a militia group was one of the "official & participating organizations."

Holder should demand that CAIR be excluded. If the organizers don't agree, he shouldn't attend.

This is outrageous.

Mr Holder certainly exibits classic symptoms of dhimmitude...he's ready...

Don’t expect your average Joe to know who or what CAIR is, stealth Jihad, the difference between Ahmidiyans and all other sects, when most don’t seem to know who the VP is:

Fort Hood, it seems, has become just another sound bite in the news, much to the assist of the LSM.

Guess we’ll have to wait for the net Jihadist inspired attack to create victims before even some of the public takes attention. Just foiling their plots and arresting them prior does nothing to grab the attention of the masses.

The Anti-Jihad movement needs it’s own 24 hour media outlet, beyond the web.

So far as Holder is concerned I think that it is generally accepted among the reasonable that Obama and his crowd stand against America. Nothing very surprising there.

Holder is the guy that wants to bust the CIA and bring the Club Guantanamo murderers into the American civilian population.

Rubbing noses with CAIR? Not what you call a shock.

I will note however that Politico describes CAIR as a "controversial Muslim civil rights organization".

Give me a freakin' break here!

The word controversial has been overused as a euphemism to the point that it has no real meaning in print.

And I'd much like to know where Politico perceives a "civil right" to murder and destroy American freedom in our legal tradition.

The closest thing in American history to the alleged "right" to institute and practice sharia is back when we had people walking around advertising the "right" to enslave black folks.

What a load of crap. And the people at Politico are too smart to get a pass on this sort of thing. Or at least they're supposed to be.

Eric Holder is an enormous danger to this country.

If you recall, on June 4 of this year, he published this:

"Statement of AG Eric Holder - blah blah blah - to Protect American Muslims"

Anybody have a copy of the rest of the document?

It's incredible - WE need protection from the Muslims!

Sounder above is right - we're living in Orwellian times in which everything is twisted:

From "1984":

War is Peace

Freedom is Slavery

Ignorance is Strength

Don't those actually sound like PC slogans we're supposed to accept unquestioningly, now?

I'm going to re-read "1984." I consider Hussein and his creepy "Protect American Muslims" minion Holder to be the personifications of Big Brother.

I'm not seeing any Obama magic. His weekly address was mostly about framing the Fort Hood attack as a crime and not terrorism (keeping the congress from taking the lead in the investigation)

The Serbs were there before. As early as 1985, Aziz Kelmendi, a Kosovar Albanian conscript in the Yugoslav Army, shot up his Army barracks killing 4 of his sleeping Serb bankmates and wounding 6. All in all, 216 (! ! !) Albanian cells were discovered in the Yugoslav Army who plotted to poison food and drink in the military, kill officers and non-Muslim soldiers and take over weapon arsenals. Throughout the '80's and '90's, an organized campaign of terror was waged by Kosovar Albanians on Serb civilians and police. And guess who had intervened on the terrorists' side? The United States of America, England and the rest of the Western democracies with their entire colossal NATO military might. What the United States and England did unto Serbs was evil, pure evil. And now, the Americans, English and other Westerners are walking in the Serbs'shoes: 9/11, 3/11, 7/7 - the explosives for 3/11 and 7/7 provided by Kosovar Albanians. Albanians were at the core of the Fort Dix plot where they planned to do what Aziz Kelmendi did at that Yugoslav Army post a generation earlier. And Nidal Hasan the Palestinian succeeded at Fort Hood where the Albanians failed at Fort Dix. Such are the rewards the United States and Europe are getting from the Muslims for crucifying Serbia for them.

Quaere: How, when those who are supposed to protect us are capable of things like this, are we supposed to stay sane?

The participation of the FBI in any event that CAIR is part of contradics the affimation made by FBI Congressional liaison Richard Powers "FBI does not view CAIR as an appropriate liaison partner"
Beyond the statements Holden has made and the direction he takes his office (facing mecca), anyone remember the bit about the greater threat from "domestic right wing terrorism" propaganda recently?
He appears to suffer from the blindness that his boss is gravely afflicted with arising from s deep sympathy towards islam.
A condition which catastrophicaly does does not serve to focus on the real problem which will claim more and more lives.
Islam ideology is killing Americans you fool, credit to Mr T

A Muslim jihadist just murdered and maimed scores of innocents at Fort Hood in Texas. It's like Osama bin Laden wrote:

"....when people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature, they will like the strong horse."

Obama likes the strong horse.

Eric Holder is the proud recipient of the Neville Awards for 2009 : http://www.nevilleawards.com/

This man is an extremely dangerous Islamic Nazi.

Another thought just crossed my mind.
Holder wouldn't be continuing his meeting with unindicted co-conspirator CAIR to strike up some kind of deal for the lenient treatment of Nidal Hasan would he?

Holder is a quasi-shahadic...Another ranking shill for Islam...If Islam is so wonderful, why don't these kufr quasi-shahadists just come out of Allah's closet and convert?

Shockingly, I think it goes even further than this. Obama appears to be standing against the cause of human freedom in general.

Obama refused to attend the 20th anniversary of the the fall of the Berlin wall. This was a watershed event in modern history, and in the history of man's freedom.

In an extremely short period, the Soviet block went from a powerful and overwhelming force for tyranny to an unhappy memory. Besides China, the threat of communism around the world now is mostly relegated to a few localized and scattered Maoist insurgencies.

Most of Eastern Europe emerged from over forty years of brutality under the iron curtain. Former iron curtain countries such as Poland and the Czech republic have become some of the most vibrant nations in Europe.

Of course, there have been a few disappointments—Russia itself has backslid into authoritarianism and is still trying to threaten and dominate its neighbors, such as Ukraine and Georgia, although it has nowhere near the reach and capacity for destruction that the old Soviet Union did.

Some of Eastern Europe, especially places like Rumania and Bulgaria, still lag behind the rest of Europe. We have seen the troubling rise of 'the 'Stans'—Muslim-majority former Soviet states in central Asia.

Still, by any yardstick, the fall of the Berlin wall and its aftermath were one of the greatest victories for human freedom in modern times.

And were is the American president? He is too busy getting ready for an 'upcoming Asia trip' to attend. He has not even visited the site since taking office.

And this, even though one of the most significant events leading to the fall of the wall were the actions of another American president—Ronald Reagan's famous "Mr. Gorbechev, tear down this wall!" speech.

Of course, Obama is the "anti-Reagan" almost as much as he is the "anti-Bush".

Obama did give a message to German Chancellor Angela Merkel—but it was one in which he completely downplayed the significance of the fall of the Berlin wall, merely making vague comments about "German reunification".

That Eric Holder is dangerous and anti-freedom is certainly true. He needs to be put on hold.

gravenimage:

Agreed.

To be honest I hadn't really been thinking of Red Hussein in exactly that way, rather as an enemy of western civ, rather than freedom per se. But now that you point it out, clearly that factor is there.

I've been thinking of him more as a third world revanchist.

Looking at it from the perspective you suggest gives additional significance to his weird silence about the recent aborted uprising in Persia -- which I found rather puzzling.

One could of course have maintained perfectly good pro-third-world and pro-islamist credentials and have supported the anti-mullah groups in favor of something to be termed more genuine -- more genuinely of the people, or more genuinely mohammedan in some way. Even the Saudis and the gulf Arabs might have approved (that king he bows to). But he didn't. He chose to support the mullahs.

Kind of fits with a general anti-freedom outlook.

Nauseous.

Ruslan Tokhchukov,

interesting post above about infiltration in the Serb army.

Got a link?

please sent it to sheik@sheikyermami.com

The FBI cannot very well simply avoid all meetings of groups that also contain CAIR as members. They COULD ask the groups' leadership to re-examine THEIR relationship with the Islamist front however. Even that could be seen as coercion however.

Just see how dumb it is on the face of it; CAIR joins a local community safety group and the FBI reflexively stops working with the 14 other associations involved. Seem a bit silly?

Not talking to CAIR is NOT the same as not attending ANY meeting that also allows CAIR to be present. If anything it means they SHOULD be there to counter CAIR's efforts at taqqiya!
