Christian extremists behead two Russian officials -- no, wait...

It was Islamic jihadists again, oddly enough. Everyone knows that all religions have their fanatics and extremists and they're all equally dangerous, yet those Christian beheaders remain inconveniently quiet. "Russian officials beheaded in N. Caucasus-Ifax," from Reuters, November 24 (thanks to Islam In Europe):

MOSCOW, Nov 24 (Reuters) - A police investigator and a court bailiff were found beheaded in a car trunk in Russia's mainly Muslim region of Kabardino-Balkaria, Interfax said on Tuesday, underscoring spreading violence on Russia's southern flank.

The killings follow a spate of attacks on power stations and police posts in Kabardino-Balkaria, which is close to the Ingushetia region where rights group say Islamist militants and government forces are effectively at war.

The two beheaded men were discovered in a Mercedes late on Monday in the town of Chegem, about 10 km (six miles) north of the regional capital Nalchik, the news agency reported, citing law enforcement services....

Okay, walk over to that big, wall-sized map of the world and stick a pin in all the locations where that statement can truthfully be made. What? You don't have enough pins? I'm shocked! Moral: Islam cannot accept sub-culture status among competing worldviews and will attempt to overthrow any civil authority other than itself when it has sufficient numbers. Just ask anyone in the UK, the Netherlands, the Baltics, ad nauseum, ad infinitum.

And where else would we find such a headline?

Well, that "election violence" in the Philippines, and the killings of Buddhist schoolgirls in Thailand, and the murder of journalist Daniel Pearl in Iraq.

What could such far-flung incidents possibly have to do with each other?

Quran 8:12: When Allah inspired the angels, (saying): I am with you. So make those who believe stand firm. I will throw fear into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Then smite the necks and smite of them each finger.

8:13: That is because they opposed Allah and His messenger. Whoso opposeth Allah and His messenger, (for him) lo! Allah is severe in punishment.

"Smite the necks"—behead Infidels.

The US Marines got their nick-names, "leather necks", because they wore high, stiff leather collars while fighting Muslim pirates in the early 1800s on the barbary coast of North Africa, in order to thwart constant attempts to behead them.

Nothing has changed—not from the days of the blood-stained "Prophet", not through the birth of the modern Western world, not with these poor Russian Infidels today.

I think the way to look at this is the other way around. The best response to the moral equivalence nellies is to say, Okay, we had all this horrible stuff by a religion founded by a man of peace. What, exactly, are we to expect of one founded by a tyrannical warlord?

Small correction, gravenimage:

Daniel Pearl was tortured and murdered in Pakistan (not Iraq). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Pearl

It for me started the awareness that Islamic jihad is something real and threatening not just on a mega scale like 9/11, but personally for every living and breathing human being on Earth. We are all endangered by Islam/Jihad worldwide.

The Russians also burried Daniil Sysoyev today.

totally insane, we are on the edge of a global holy war ... yet hardly anyone talks about it openly.

Too bad they couldn't land the putrid Putin

Of course, you are correct—I *did* know that—I need to be more careful at times, when I write in haste.

This does not mean that things are any less bloody in Iraq, however. British kidnap victim Kenneth Bigley was beheaded there in 2004, with a video of the gruesome event posted online by his murderers soon afterward.
