Fort Benning receives package containing shells and threat to reenact Fort Hood jihad

Jihad or copycat -- in any case, an enemy of diversity. "Suspicious Note and Package at Fort Benning," by Ashley Ball for WRBL.com, November 23 (thanks to Matt):

Fort Benning investigators are launching an investigation into a suspicious note and package found last week on post.

News 3 spoke to a post representative Sunday night, they say the note and box were found Thursday morning outside a motor pool belonging to the 197th.

Officials could not release any more information, but the Army Times is reporting the box was full of twenty hollow point shells and the note threatened a re-enactment of the massacre at Fort Hood....

Remember James Yee, the Muslim chaplain who was stationed at Benning who "mishandled" classified information? Later, they said Yee was unfairly targeted.

But it's becoming clearer and clearer after Ft. Hood & this that if anything, CID should be investigating suspicious activity on post MORE, not less.

This is not the work of a bored teenager...It is a serious warning...Probably not a copycat jihadist, but quite possibly a clone...

It has nothing to do with Islam, that's the important thing to keep saying. It's probably a disaffected Baptist or Presby...no it's probably a Baptist.

Wait until the trials start in New york.

Take this seriously, very seriously.

It is better to be safe that sorry. If they can't find any finger prints that would put my antenna up even higher. If they do and the get a match then go after him with full force (military style).

I believe I'm caught in an endless loop. Can someone please close up my open parenthetical s ?

Oh, no. A rogue spellchecker! I'll bet the President has a crack team working on this threat. Fort Bennington is a threat? Not so much.

Hadith Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 52, Number 220:
Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made victorious with terror (cast in the hearts of the enemy), and while I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand." Abu Huraira added: Allah's Apostle has left the world and now you, people, are bringing out those treasures."

"I have been made victorious with terror!"

It makes perfect sense to me.

NA it was a Wiccan (aka witch) or some one from E.L.F. or a.l.f. or peta anything but a musim copy cat right?? but i would not bet on it with all the radical muslim web pages that are calling that warlock(The commonly accepted etymology derives warlock from the Old English wǣrloga meaning "oathbreaker" or "deceiver.) mgr hasan a hero

"Remember James Yee, the Muslim chaplain who was stationed at Benning who "mishandled" classified information? Later, they said Yee was unfairly targeted."

In fact, James Yee went on to work for the Obama campaign as a delegate from Washington State.

As I wrote on my blog at the time:

James Yee: Muslim chaplain who served at Guantanamo Bay among the Muslim prisoners there. He works for the Obama campaign as a delegate from Washington State. A few years ago, Yee was accused of pro-jihadist espionage. In 2004, his conviction was dismissed by the US government for cryptic reasons: “. . .in dismissing the charges, Maj. Gen. Geoffrey D. Miller, commander of Joint Task Force Guantanamo, which operates the detention center, cited 'national security concerns that would arise from the release of the evidence' if the case proceeded.”

As Robert Spencer noted: National security concerns would arise from the release of the evidence if Yee's case proceeded? That's a very strange statement, and it cries out for an explanation (none was ever forthcoming, to my knowledge), but it is not quite the same thing as saying, "This man was completely innocent, and should never have been charged."

Furthermore, Yee is on record as repeatedly criticizing the very foundations of the institution of the Guantanamo prison, insinuating (if not openly declaring) that all the Muslims in there are innocent. In pursuit of that lie, he has played with the facts—for example, claiming he witnessed guards physically disrespecting the Koran, then later admitting that he never saw such actions with his own eyes, but only heard rumors about it. Is this the type of Muslim one wants officially supporting a Presidential campaign? Apparently, Obama thinks so.

P.S.: Something very weird happened on my blog. The above quote was one small part of a long essay I wrote titled "Obama and McCain: The Lesser of Two Evils for the Greater Good". I published it on October 30, 2008. A few weeks after that, James Yee himself (apparently) left a comment, not saying anything terribly substantive, but just repeating PC MC bromides about how we need to stop being bigoted and work for "change" etc. Here's the strange part: his comment, and my response, have disappeared from my blog -- and I never deleted them. I only noticed it now, when I went back to try to find Yee's comment.

Hesperado. You said:

If ever an interesting 'conversation' such as yours with [possibly] Yee himself occurs again: or if you have anything else of similar interest still 'floating' in the blogosphere; copy and save it, at once. To hard disk; to cd (to be stored in a safe place); even print the thing out onto paper, more than once, and tuck away in a safe location. And then, even if someone were to hack into your blog and delete things, never mind - *you* will have your own record, inaccessible because entirely offline and nondigital.

When are the "authorities" going to quit pacifying these Islamic nutcases, by making excuses for them, and do some serious investigations into their behavior, and when they do find these murdering terrorists, for goodness sake, lock them up so they can't continue on in their madness.

These people are trying to bury us, and political correctness is only making matters worse. Are people so completely scared of these desert rats that they are just going to allow them to do anything, get by with it, and then simply explain it all away, by feeling sorry for them? Oh, my, poor little Mohammad, he is just having a bad day, so he shoots a few people, so what? After all, he just wants to relieve his tensions. All of us have bad days, but we don't go around blowing up people and cutting their heads off in the name of religion!

Well, two Islamic women were talking about their children, how they grow up so fast. One said, oh yes, they seem to blow up so fast these days!

Hesp,

At the risk of several things (sounding like a deep-end conspiracy nut, inviting undue attention to your blog from anything "federal", among other things), might it not be prudent to report to same feds?

At the very least, there could be an IP address obtained regarding the deletion, and given who left the quote, it might lead to a life saved.

I don't want to say it couldn't hurt, because it could. Have you googled for the comment elsewhere in case you read it on a link and are misremembering?

Concerned.

Copy Cat, Hoax, or signs of another attack? It really doesn't matter. It is a threatening statement and it MUST be investigated. With the large number of mosques teaching Saudi Wahabist ideals and promoting jihad right here in the U.S. coupled with the recent arrests and the jihad attack at Ft. Hood this threat needs to be investigated and tried as a terroristic threat/attack against the U.S. and its military. You know that if a similar box were to arrive at a military base in Iran or any of the other stan states the sender would be hunted mercilessly and tried on the spot as a threat to the state. In this case, the sender should be sought with no less fervor and put into the system to be tried as a war criminal.

Maybe someone was trying to provoke EVEN MORE of that horrible 'backlash' that has so ravaged this country since Nov 5? cough/cair/cough/muslimbrotherhood/cough/usefulidiots/cough

Free speech no longer exists on JW ...WTF!!! ...why are all of my comments getting nixed? And my comments are mild compared to others ...what is going on, peeps? This is pissing me off!!!

Champ,

It was that perrrfectly descriptive C word that did it.

Help me out, Spot on ...what C word?

Crazy?

Cunning?

Clever?

It couldn't have been 'cunt', because I never use that word on JW or at any time (except now, of course ..he he)

I don't recall which C word ...so thanks in advance! :)

Champ,

You forgot to mention "C---roach". I replied to your comment using that word repeating "C---roach" and they deleted my post too. This word must be just too personal for the trolls to take.

Champ,

I respect Roberts efforts to maintain a certain level of civility on his website. Ultimately, he must do what is right to sell his books and advance his agenda. To his great credit, he also gets directly in Jihad's face on TV and radio. For some reason, C---roach is not a word he wants to stand with in describing Jihadists. I have known this for some time. Yet I find the word perfectly descriptive of the Jihadists that we face. It was really refreshing to me to see you use this word and I took pleasure in repeating the word in my response to your original post. As I said above, they deleted my post when they deleted yours.

Thomas Sowell, a great writer, writes articles and books for the same audience as Roberts audience. Mr. Sowell does not specialize in Jihad but is one of the most knowledgeable men in the world. This is what Mr. Sowell recently had to say regarding our fight with Jihad.

"In ways large and small, domestically and internationally, the West is surrendering on the installment plan to Islamic extremists.

The late Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn put his finger on the problem when he said: "The timid civilized world has found nothing with which to oppose the onslaught of a sudden revival of barefaced barbarity, other than concessions and smiles."

My guess is that the word "C---roach" is too "creepy" and "nasty" for Roberts audience when used to describe this creepy and nasty vile barbarian enemy. I am sure that Gen. Patton would have used c---roach but that was then and now is now. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn probably has it right for now. As a society, we are too soft to fight this war. You, me, and most here at JW would want to change that and really give this barbarian enemy a real fight.

Hi Spot On,

DUH! ...of course! I have used that word sooo many times in the past, and without incident, btw, that it didn't even hit my radar as being the C word you mentioned. I kept thinking to myself ...did I slip-up and SWEAR?!! ...'cause sometimes I do that and then I forget, lol.

Well then! ...that's a MAJOR shift in some of the free speech policies that I have come to love and appreciate on JW. I have always 'tried' to be sensitive and careful about some of the well known bad-buzz-words that we have been told time 'n time again NOT to use on this forum, but not being allowed to use that C word is new to me!! ...lordie.

And yes, the C word is a perfectly descriptive word for terrorists and islamic barbarians (watch, these will become the new bad-buzz-words: ISLAMIC BARBARIANS);but it also served another purpose, and that was to illustrate the main point of my post! ...the one that was deleted.

**I intentionally chose that word to illustrate that for every evil man you DO see, that there are thousands more you DON'T**

THAT was the primary purpose for using that word, because as we all know, cockroaches are both seen and unseen -- and most of them are NOT SEEN, and I even included that sentence in the comment that was nixed. I didn't choose that word merely to call them some nasty name, although I do agree that these evil men are in fact ___________. And no, I am not angry with YOU (if I sound angry to you), but I am angry at the fact that even here -- here where free speech is encouraged and generally respected -- even here it is being monitored more tightly. I mean it's not like I used the M word, a well known bad-buzz-word.

Times, they are a changin' ....deep sigh

Hey, thanks for writing and clearing up my confusion ...take care! :)

Hi Champ,

You are absolutely right. Also, the C---roach must be killed in the nest if one is to get rid of them. We are not likely tp do that any time soon but that is what is necessary to win against this enemy.

Agree, Spot On!
