Fort Hood jihad shooter was disciplined for Islamic proselytizing

CAIR has been working overtime (they’re quoted in this article also), and the “Muslims fear backlash” victimhood machine is in high gear. No one, of course, is questioning whether there might be any connection between this man’s devoutly held Islam and the massacre today. After all, how could there be any such connection? Islam is a Religion of Peaceâ„¢!

“Massacre Leaves 12 Dead At Fort Hood,” by Kevin Whitelaw for NPR, November 5 (thanks to Axel):

[…] The motive behind the shootings was not immediately clear, officials said….

Nothing can be made clear to those who do not wish to see.

A source tells NPR’s Joseph Shapiro that Hasan was put on probation early in his postgraduate work at the Uniformed Service University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md. He was disciplined for proselytizing about his Muslim faith with patients and colleagues, according to the source, who worked with him at the time.

The Pentagon, the American military, the Army, those who run Fort Hood, are guilty, in their refusal to recognize the effect of Islam on the minds of men, in their wilfull ignorance of what is contained in Qur’an, Hadith, and Sira, in their continual pretend-belief that only the obvious “extremists” are a danger to non-Muslims, are guilty of criminal negligence. And the government of this country, and the governments of other non-Muslim countries who refuse to take Islam seriously, refuse to halt all Muslim immigration and work to diminish the number of Muslims present in our imperilled non-Muslim societies and states, are guilty of the same criminal negligence. Everyone in authority — brief authority –in the Western world who presumes to protect and defend “the people,” has a duty to learn about Islam. Not from John Esposito. Not from the sly propagandists, Muslim and non-Muslim collaborators alike, that is the True Believers and the hirelings, or the ideological sympathizers with Islam as “anti-Western.” But, in the main, from two sources: the great Western authorities on Islam, such as Snouck Hurgronje, Joseph Schacht, Franz Rosenthal, Henri Lammens, Samuel Zwemer, St. Clair Tisdall, and a hundred others, and from the articulate apostates from Islam, such people as Ibn Warraq, Nonie Darwish, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan, Magdi Allam. Their testimonies have been published;t they are eager to help explain the Muslim mind, the mind of those brought up in societies suffused with Islam. But those who rule over us think they have no duty to learn from these sources. They prefer to listen to the smiling, affable, so-trustworthy Muslims on their staffs, or in the pay of the government. They are easily fooled. They are too lazy to do the necessary work that only they — not their staffs, who prepare those simplify bullet-riddled Exective Summaries. Nothing but immediate, and detailed knowledge, of the texts and the tenets and the attitudes and the atmospherics of Islam, will do.

Some people I think need less talk, something more auditory?

These noises I think … in an auditory way illustrate quite well, the state of our union in regards to Islamization.

Wonder whether this will lead citizens to question America’s “special relationship” with the Saudi Kingdom, birthplace and global sponsor of the Wahhabi cult. Naw, I doubt it / it’s fashionable these days to blame the Iranians for everything, even as Saudi suicide bombers continue to wreak havoc in the Shia marketplaces of Iraq. America will continue to support Saudi Arabia while that nation systematically goes about its multi-billion dollar takeover of Islam, Inc. Islam is being destroyed just as the Puritans and their Scientistic handmaidens began the 17th century ruin of Christianity in the West (and what are the Wahhabists if not the Cromwellian wing of Islam?).

  4. says

“Islamic proselytizing” is a constant duty of Muslims…that, and lying to non-Muslims, about Islam.

This is no story, just the uncomfortable, hard facts about Islam and its Pavlovian slave-like followers.

  5. says

I have a theory as to the Muslim’s motive:

“Kill non-Muslims wherever you find them. Lie in wait and ambush them, seize and capture them using every stratagem of war.” Koran 9:5

Plus many other Jihad verses, as everyone knows.

  6. says

I think the returning enlisted combat vets and lower ranked officers(the ones who actually deal with the locals not the REMFS who stay on base for their entire tour) from Iraq and Afghanistan are quite aware of what Muslims are.

But they have no say so.But that’s the military for you.

The problem is, is that the upper echelons of the officer corps is loaded with the politically correct sort of man who came in when Clinton was in power and PC became a fact of life for our military men. Plus none of these men deal with the inhumane reality that is Islam or its crazed adherents like the combat troops do.

Just look at the security situation at Ft.Hood. Almost no MP’s to be found, just rent-a-cops(who have taken the place of most MP duties thanks to our wars in Central Asia) and civilian police filling in for emergency duties.

You’d think after 9/11 and the arrest of Muslims plotting to attack military bases the Army brass would have made a return to organic base security with their own rapid response teams vs. outsourcing to rent-a-cops and local police. But no they didn’t.

  7. says

‘The Pentagon, the American military, the Army, those who run Fort Hood, are guilty, in their refusal to recognize the effect of Islam on the minds of men,’

What Hugh says is so true, but no one in the upper echeleons of the army or the political class will reaffirm this.

They prefer to hide behind the CAIR-induced sleep of ignorance.

    Shame.

Hey I’m watching CNN, and you can see what a wild Mohammedan looks like when shopping at a 7/11 in his traditional barbarian garb just before her goes on a crazed shooting rampage. The white night shirt, and skull cap … nothing that “stands out”, or “notable” … he wasn’t even frothing at the mouth apparently.

  11. says

OOOOHHHH you guys have to watch Wolf Blitzer quote …. “Perhaps there was SOME ideology that motivated him.”, “He was upset.” “His tradition is a great belief for him.”, “He should have reached out for help.”

The best part was when they were on that screen they can manipulate with their fingers. Talking about how they will have to review all of the data, and try to figure out what exactly it was that motivated the shooter.

Oh breaking news … he was taunted! Basically too much for him! He is human, perfectly normal behavior for a psychiatrist … soldiers are just trained to suck it up you know.

Legally he can remain silent if he wants to. He has right to council. That sums up about 20 minutes of CNN programing.

1- Perhaps “SOME” ideology was involved
    2- He was upset
3- He got teased for being …. a Muslim
4- His tradition is a GREAT belief!!!
5- He should have reached out for help
    6- He is human :-(
7- Normal behavior for army psychologists!!!!
8- A red flag would be if he was, “Sowing up late for work.”
9- He was scared, stressed, afraid … just look at it from a biological perspective.
10- We were cruel to him for teasing him for being a Muslim

And they are sure the Pentagon is going to be putting their best minds on it … you know to figure this great mystery out for us all!

There you go the official CNN top 10 reasons for S.J.S.

Perhaps Obama will declare Islam as a cult due to the health hazard of S.J.S.

  12. says

The Military failed these dead and wounded soldiers, they failed them miserably and all in the name of our Achilles tendon, the foolish perversion of multiculturalism and political correctness when it comes to religions. Politicians failed them if they where okay with the Goldstone report, or if they like Obama helped to define any criticism of Islam as a hate crime at the United Nations. There is no doubt in my mind that we are being led by ignorant fools who buy into the myth that Islam is “the religion of peace”. I am sick to death of having to be lead by these blind dhimmis that are in our military and our government. They are wined and dined by the Saudis and the various taquiya practioners of numerous Islamic groups who have really only one true agenda for America, sharia law and a caliphate to rule the country.Yes dhimmi hacks this is their goal and it is locked in stone and their determination to achieve that goal is on track with the stealth jihad on our University campuses and in our governments and military institutions.

  13. says

The Military failed these dead and wounded soldiers

Most civilians do not realize just how utterly politicized the military is.

Beleive me, the individuals that make up the military are WELL AWARE of the problem, but there’s not a damn thing they can do about it. The military works for the Commander-in-Chief. Another poster suggested that the military should not allow muslims to enlist. Great idea, but “the military” can’t do that – they don’t have the authority. What do you suppose B. Hussein Obama’s reaction would be if the military, HIS military, started trying to institute what you and I would consider to be sane policies regarding islam? Our military leaders are not free agents, not in any sense.

  14. says

    – it’s really not his fault, because islamophobia has

    – it was his only means of bringing his

    – how can we make amends to this victim, whom we

  25. says

    Who analyzes the psycho-analyst?

    Here is my opinion.
Apparently Nidal had gone through the psychological testing a few months prior and had been cleared.
What isn’t known, and wouldn’t show up on the psych test radar system is the psychopathological nature of his ideology.

All or at least most Islamic children undergo the same ideological indoctrination of Qur’anic memorization, Qur’an schooling, regular mosque attendance, and the constant driving force of proselitization of non-believers as well as that constant reminder that we and the Jews are the enemies.
As they children progress into adulthood they have already completed their course and have not become full-fledged devotees to Allah.
Nidal went on through schooling and University and got his degrees and was anxious to join the Army. He volunteered prior to Sept 11th, 2001, according to his brother.
So it remains to be seen if he would have joined after 2001.
Regardless, the man was now in the army. He went through basic training, got his degree in psychology from the army etc. But 9/11 had changed much of the attitudes of the men around him and in discussions he was heard to comment about his beliefs, which were natural, that Muslims should stand up and fight the aggressor…”
His buddies in arms didn’t quite know what to make of this but just cast it aside. But then the cracks in the foundation appeared and should have been noticed by the commanding officer when the troopers were complaining about his proselytizing.
The guy was obviously resurfacing his childhood indoctrination and he may not have even known what was causing it.

The frustrations were occurring as soldiers began criticizing him for his statements. No doubt they harassed him for his “attempted conversions” but it was natural to him.
He was beginning to suffer a synaptic break because what he truly believed in…the marines, oorah!, a normal American life, was being contradicted by his inner psyche that had been pre-programmed as a child. This China Syndrome made him a “walking time bomb”. But it wasn’t his fault. He was programmed to do this and he didn’t know why. It must have been incredibly painful for the man, who believed in his country with all his heart and was ready to die for it, to suddenly find himself wallowing in the depths of tear of emotions.

Nope, Nidal suffered from what I have been saying since I first read the Koran; that it can change a person’s behavior just by studying it.
It is a dangerous book when it is used for indoctrinating the young. Imams all over the world have created walking time bombs that are ready to explode, literally at any moment when confronted with something that counters their ideology. One minute you may think of them as peace-loving American pie people and the next they may be crying “Allahu-Akbar” and pulling the pin on an explosives vest. The Imams have done a good job brainwashing and that is why I think this religion should be stamped out of our western countries.

I apologize for the grammatical or spelling but I have the flu and I feel like shit!

In July, Specialist Armano Baca was charged with murdering a fellow soldier, Ryan Richard Schlack from Wisconsin, after the two had returned from tours in Iraq. Schlack was shot during a party at the central Texas army post and died at a Fort Hood hospital on 18 July. Three months ago, Specialist Jared Lee Bottorff was charged with murder after a shooting at a party near the army post.

In May, Sergeant JOHN RUSSELL, from the 54th Engineer Battalion, who had done three tours of duty in Iraq, was charged with the FATAL SHOOTING OF FIVE COLLEAGUES at a clinic in Baghdad.

Russell, from Sherman, Texas, had been sent for counselling to the combat stress control centre at Camp Liberty, a US base near the international airport on the outskirts of the Iraqi capital. In a sign of the extent of the military’s concern, he had had his weapon taken away a week earlier.

Last September, Sergeant JOSEPH BOZICEVICH, 39, of Minneapolis was detained after allegedly KILLING TWO MEMBERS OF HIS UNIT south of Baghdad. The case remains under investigation.

In 2008, Corporal Timothy Ayers was sentenced to two years and four months in prison after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the fatal 2007 shooting of his platoon sergeant in Iraq.

Specialist Chris Rolan, an army medic, was sentenced to 33 years in prison in 2007 for killing a fellow soldier after a night of heavy drinking in Iraq.

With the home page description of this article, you have made the insinuation that his tragic psychotic breakdown was instead some maniacal terrorist attack on the US military. The anger, whilst some directed at the creatures that did this, is more for the blind fools who, out of fear of missing out on a promotion, of not being elected or re-elected, will refuse to accept what is so undeniable.
How can anyone expect those whose primary allegiance to a hate filled death cult, rooted in despotism, sexism, fascism, mysoginist, etc. to be trusted is incredible. And before anyone starts, yes, there are people who truly { and mistakenly} believe that they are true moslems whilst serving in the military, police etc. that are not butchering their fellow workers. The creature that did this was a practising moslem; practising the death and hatred, cold blooded murder, betrayal that their “prophet” so clearly set the example of…1400 years ago, where they still in their “minds” and “hearts” still live.

Our immediate thoughts and prayers are with the wounded and with the families of the fallen, and with those who live and serve at Fort Hood.

We strongly emphasize that this attack and its perpetrator are in no way representative of Muslims or the peace-loving religion of Islam. The individual(s) who perpetrated this attack blatantly acted against the teachings of Islam. The Islamic Center of Greater Austin stand with their neighbors and join scores of other local and national Muslim organizations in offering prayers for the victims, condolences to their families, and assistance where needed.

Central Texas Muslims include many veterans and active-duty personnel in the US Armed Forces, and countless Muslims have served in the US military with distinction and honor. With this person’s record(see other article here), why was a discharge not forthcoming. Major Hasan had trouble from the very beginning. He harassed co-workers and patients with his religious beliefs and political opinions, but was simply put on probation. This should have been a clue to his superiors that Hasan was really not cut out for military service. Futhermore, his postings on Islamists sites and hair raising opinions of U.S. military personnel should have led his superiors at Ft. Hood to take appropriate action. Instead, this human boil was allowed to fester until it burst. People at Walter Reed and Ft. Hood should be removed for their negligence in this matter. Pandering to Islamists will not stop until there are real consequences for engaging in such behavior.

    Salam,

I am right here Hindoo….I will not hide or be afraid to discuss the issues at hand.

Despite this incident, (and I really don’t think soldiers should be killed in this manner….my genuine condolences to all)…but despite your apparent anger you know that DAMN cannot happen.

Even releasing muslims from their current posts within the armed forces will lead to huge legal battles and repruccisions….and you know it…so backoff hindoo.

I can see that your armed forces may show bias & not take on new muslim recruits…but that’s all really.

The Americans and British administrations have gone to Afghanistan/Iraq so that “if you fight them there …you won’t tomorrow have to fight them in your respective countries”.

Clearly the Taliban have turned this strategy on it’s head….I’m afraid it’s as simple as that.

In my view Hasan is Taliban, he knew that the American/British soldier is a highly trained individual and will pose a lot of problems for his ummah brothers….he was in a privlidged position and used it to devastating effect.

I would like to know though how a doctor of health and science in the army had access to automatic weapons and live munitions….don’t you guys take care on that sort of thing?

Americans are so proud of guns being freely available…. well here is one of the consequences. I would like to see the senator for Texas ask for his state to become gun free and ask for other states to follow his example.

For now I suspect that your and the British armies will obviously view their fellow muslims comrades with suspicion and will spy on them…but that’s now part of the course for them….if they are Taliban…get rid of them.

Meanwhile the soldiers may also have to wear bullet proof fatigues even on the bases as it is best to take precautions.

Of course they are. We should all know by now, that the word “Muslim” can only be uttered when followed by the words “peaceful”, “inventors of algebra”, “tolerant of the ‘People of the Book'”, etc.

I asked Marisol, for the sake of the families and friends of the murdered, to ban that excrement from here, but unfortunately she obviously thinks it is more important to remove my suggestions what to do about Mecca and remarks about the faul smell of the burqa wrapped mooslimahs.

Hugh, accusing every western government of criminal negligence because of this incident isn’t realistic.
How is not putting a end to muslim immaragtion criminally negligent in western countries when the legal system will just agree with islamic apologist anyway? You won’t be able to convict them on the grounds of willful blindness, you’d have to prove to a court of law that they intentionally failed to be informed about matters that would make them criminally liable. Think about that for a second. That would be like saying anyone who doesn’t agree with the authors you listed should be proscuted for criminal negligence. I could see a slick lawyer getting them out of it. Just sayin’.

Well, aren’t “we” wallowing in moral equivalency, muzammmil?

NONE of those examples have ANY relevance to this incident.

THIS zealot was disciplined for recruiting his PATIENTS (and others) for Islam.
THIS religious criminal was known to equate suicide bombing to a soldier falling on a grenade. You must be proud of his soul-free false comparison: Falling on a grenate is all about SAVING the lives of others; suicide bombing as all about TAKING the lives of others.
THIS morally bankrupt “devout Muslim” (is there any other kind of devout Muslim? NO) killed and wounded so many, not because of personal frustrations, not because of delusions or conspiratorial paranoia, but because he was a TRAITOR who violated his oath to the constitution and wanted to promote ISLAMIC principles and override constitutional principles.

You may have the ability, but you have no right to dredge up all other unrelated tragedies to support your religion’s facist, imperialist, misogynist, sexist, racist theology.

muzzamil above in listing other intra-military murders, such as the one involving soldier John Russell who murdered five military personnel, makes our point without realizing it: Since we in the West have our own problems (as no society is perfect), why should we take on the added burden of a people who have their own unique blueprint for intolerant supremacist militant expansionism part of whose methodology involves various forms of violence, including such razzia attacks as the one in Fort Hood?

We have enough problems with our trying to get on with our own imperfect lives and imperfect societies — incidentally, showing real progress from hard work and blood, sweat & tears as the centuries, generations, decades, and years ago by — without having to worry about unpredictably exploding or shooting Muslims.

We have enough problems in our societies without having to shoulder this additional, intolerable burden of a people who are stark raving maniacs and fanatically follow a blueprint of hostile supremacist expansionism based on ludicrously insane beliefs and an obsessive-compulsive disorder that pursues a warped version of justice.

I’ve noticed the phenomenon too Mrs. J.. most of the big newspapers now use third-party ‘moderation services’, who’ll probably be obliged in their contract with the publsihers to reflect their own ‘diversity policies’, if you get my drift…

Of course they do. Seargent John Russell murdered 5 of his comrades. The stresses of war and fear of deployment seem to be the common denominator in all of these soldier-on-soldier shootings.

If it were a Christian soldier illegally proselytising (which many Christian soldiers in Afghanistan did), such information would be irrelevant.

He was born a Muslim, and has been a Muslim all his life. If it were Islamic teachings that motivated him, it makes no sense why in all those years he worked with the army he treated them and worked for their welfare. Clearly there were factors unrelated to his religion that explain the shootings, like the fact he faced harrassment because of his ethnicity (for which he asked to be discharged but was refused), he saw many injuries in his work (particularly at Walter Reed), he listened to many war-stories that precipitated stress, he was about to be deployed oversees against his wishes.

Youm : Americans are so proud of guns being freely available…. well here is one of the consequences. I would like to see the senator for Texas ask for his state to become gun free and ask for other states to follow his example.

Gun free? How would that work? So only criminals and murderers would have firearms and the lawful citizenry would suffer because of it.

You may want to read a book by John Lott, ‘More Guns, Less Crime’ who set out to prove how dangerous gun ownership is. His conclusion is that ‘Shall issue’ laws, which allow citizens to carry concealed weapons, steadily decrease violent crime. He explains that this result makes sense because criminals are deterred by the risk of attacking an armed victim. As more citizens arm themselves, the danger to criminals increases.

I would not give up my handgun under any circumstance.

Yommy, I can only condemn the way you smear other believers, in this case IndianTiger, a Hindu. You’re a very good example that Islam is totally void of tolerance and understanding of other religions and philosophies. If I could I’d follow my dad’s example and say I don’t even ignore you, but unfortunately I’ve got to deal with people like you. Keep your crap to yourself.

This demonstrates that you do not believe a Muslim can be genuinely American or part of the army. If however you stepped outside your prejudice and thought of Maj Nidal as one of a series of American soldiers who because of stress and fear of deployment killed their fellow comrades you can make more sense of this attack. Nobody’s asking you to take on the added burden of another people – American Muslims are not an additional people that you have to tolerate, they are every bit as American as other citizens and their problems and imperfections are part and parcel of America’s problems and imperfections.

Yasser Arafat routinely condemned jihad terror against Israel’s Jews. Many believed him until Israel’s 2002 Operation Defensive Shield in response to the March 27, 2002 Netanya Terror bombing / Passover massacre. The IDF entered Tulkarm Fatah office. Documents seized during Operation Defensive Shield linked Yasser Arafat as well as Saudi Arabia to terrorist activities. Condemning Islamic terrorism is meaningless. There’s got to be much more than mere condemnation.

Good posting about the Quranic programming.

Your basic point came through loud and clear. I think you’re right.

The Quran *is* a dangerous book. Probably the more so because in the original language it sounds pretty and therefore memorises quite easily.

(You mentioned you’re really ill. Bless you mate – I hope you’ve got folks to look after you and a good doctor on the job?).
