In another story about General Casey's witless dhimmitude, Lindsey Graham chimes in with some of his own. "Army Chief Concerned for Muslim Troops," by Joseph Berger for the New York Times, November 8:
General George Casey Jr., the Army chief of staff, said on Sunday that he was concerned that speculation about the religious beliefs of Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, accused of killing 12 fellow soldiers and one civilian and wounding dozens of others in a shooting rampage at Fort Hood, could "cause a backlash against some of our Muslim soldiers."...
Not that there has been any actual backlash, anywhere. This backlash rivals Santa Claus for the amount of ink spilled about a fictional creature.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Republican of South Carolina, and Sen. Jack Reed, a Democrat of Rhode Island, took also pains on Sunday to say that Muslims have served honorably in the military and at risk to their lives."At the end of the day this is not about his religion -- the fact that this man was a Muslim," Senator Graham said on CBS's "Face the Nation."...
One wonders how Senator Graham arrived at this conclusion. Does he know that Hasan passed out Korans on the morning of the massacre? Has Graham ever actually read the Koran?
"I mean does every soldier who shows discontent with the war and every soldier that has had a bad performance report -- what are we going to do with those folks?" Sen. Graham said. "At the end of the day, maybe this is just about him. It's certainly not about his religion, Islam."
One wonders if Graham knows about his dawah session during his putative medical lecture, or his calling on Muslims to rise up against the U.S. military, etc. etc. etc.
He added: "To those members of the United States military who are Muslims, thank you for protecting our nation, thank you for standing up against the people who are trying to hijack your religion."
It would have been refreshing, and unique, if Graham had explained exactly how such people are "hijacking" Islam, but of course, he did not -- just as no one else who ever uses the phrase explains it.
So WHY the hell exactly did Nidal Malik Hasan murder all these people then Senator Graham???
It is just me, or has this incident really exposed how ignorantly dumb so many of our so called leaders have become? What ever happened to a just a little tiny bit of common sense or just a sliver of wisdom with these pathetic politicians? Do we as Americans even know why we vote for these imbeciles & trust the direction of our Nation to them?
"cause a backlash against some of our Muslim soldiers."...
I am more concerned about Muslim backlash on our soldiers, after all it was a Muslim on a desk screaming "Allah Akbar!" while he unloaded over 100 rounds into defenseless American(Kufur)soldiers.
"At the end of the day this is not about his religion -- the fact that this man was a Muslim,"
This senator is really clueless. Yes it is about his religion/ideology, the killer said so. I would like to see him thank Christian, Jewish, and Wiccan soldiers as well.
I'm hoping that they are using the PC double-speak. Saying noooo.... this has nothing to do with islamic extremism while at the same time ramping up their security checklist.
Only people that haven't followed the islamic movement that has been going on for the past 10 to 15 years would fall for this patronizing talk.
Yes, probably 99% of the muslims in the armed forces are loyal but they need to verify that their loyalities are with the USA. The military must be aware that with the islamic movement countries do not exist. I'll leave it at that. The higher ups in the military know that. At least I hope they do.
The mosques in the US need to weed out the extremists right now before vigilanties start taking the law into their own hands.
I do not want to see a melt down here, which may be what the jihadis want. Everyone keep your eyes and ears open but be cool about it. Report suspicious activity to the FBI but be fair in your judgement.
Joe Lieberman "to begin an investigation into whether the Army missed signs that the man accused of opening fire at Fort Hood had embraced an increasingly extremist view of Islam." "the U.S. Army has to have zero tolerance."
He's supposed to 'toe the party line' with the democrats? be a strong anti-backlash supporter.
It looks like he might take on the WH hehe.
Islam has been at war with the infidel world since its inception, but it deceptively sells itself as a religion of peace only because we are to ignorant on the subject to question their assertions. Pherhaps our confortable lives keep us preocupied with more banal matters, or pherhaps our arrogance leads us to dismiss the threat as to bizarre, for a bunch of ragheads to be capable of being a real theat. Either way we are screwed. It has happenenned before. Great civilizations fall to lesser beins by underestimating the enemy. I totally agree with Revparadigm's questioning why do we keep electing theese IMBECILS, but I suspect the problem is us. We are screwed.

I gave up debating a Liberal/Democrat acquaintance who would lie down on the tracks for their myoptic beliefs, especially when he said that Lindsey Graham seemed to be the kind of Republican candidate he could vote for! What an idiot, for Graham is a professional career political slug! Graham has hung in there with his good guy image, smiling, and slopping at the public trough long enough. Idiot statements such as his reveal how ignorant he is and that he should be thrown out of office for good, and have all of his ill-earned benefits taken away! How easily the Liberal/Democrats are duped - at our expense!
Boy, it's a damn good thing nobody has found evidence that the shooter listened to Rush or Glenn Beck. Or that he's a Christian.
To the extent that Muslims have served honorably in the American Armed Forces it would always be in spite of their being Muslim. The same cannot be said for believers of any other major faith. Senator Graham is clueless about this fact. The PC/MC nonsense continues. So does great ignorance about Islam by America's elites.
"Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Republican of South Carolina"
PC MC is clearly not merely a Leftist problem. It long ago spread its gas outside the confines of Leftism, to pervade the general atmosphere of Left, Right, Center, rich, poor, professional, labor, elites, ordinary, etc.
Sen. Graham does not disappoint. He states diffidently in one sentence '...maybe it's just about him'. In the very next sentence he continues with new found confidence 'It's certainly not about his relgion, Islam.' Which is it Senator? Are you a 'certainty'? Or are you a 'maybe'? This is reminiscent of Graham's ambivalent musings during the Sotomayor confirmation hearings.

I don`t get it!
How many have got to die before the authorities wake up and take Islam seriously. I , for the life of me, can`t understand why they haven`t stopped recruiting muslims in the US armed forces!!
There needs to be a blanket ban on all muslims joining and too bad if it upsets political correctness, Islam is just not compatible with the West in lots of areas especially when it comes to defence of the West!
Need I say more!!
The problem, according to Sean Hannity and so many others is 'radical Islam', or individual Muslims who've been 'radicalized'. Some of my favorite words and compound phrases are 'radical Islamic jihadist', 'extremist', and 'Islamist extremist'.
Does Senator Lieberman ever wonder what they're being extreme about?
CAIR would have us believe they, too, are opposed to religious 'extremism'. So, does CAIR now consider Muslim literalists to be religious extremists?
When members of Al-Shabbab amputate a thief's hands, are they hijacking Islam, Senator Graham?

Lindsey Graham is notoriously dim-witted. But boy, was he tough on Uzbekistan's President Karimov for cracking down on Islamic Jihadists in his country! After a particularly nasty, even rabid onslaught on this friendly leader by our State Department sociopaths, he and his colleague The Insane McCain flew to Uzbekistan itching to read their own riot acts to the "brutal Soviet apparatchik" as they branded him. By then, however, Karimov had enough of the Americans. He refused to see his 2 self-appointed "American bosses" and ordered them out of his country. And then, he kicked the US military out of the strategic Karshi-Khanabad Air base, and stopped other assistance to the Americans in the Afghan war. Suddenly, the United States of America fell quiet. The out-of-control demonization of Uzbekistan over "human rights" of the jihadists had stopped at once! Once again, the United States of America had sent the exactly wrong meassage to the world: the better you are to us, the worse we are to you, and vice versa: the worse you are to us, the more subservient we are to you.
