Iranian top dog's rep misunderstands Islam, tells Muslims to quit British Armed Forces

In the West saying this will get you called an "Islamophobe." The Ayatollah Moezi must be an "Islamophobe." "Muslims must quit British Forces, says Iranian envoy Abdolhossein Moezi," by Richard Kerbaj in the Times, November 14:

The Iranian Supreme Leader's representative in Britain has told Muslim servicemen and women to quit the Armed Forces, saying that their involvement in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars is forbidden by Islam.
The cleric, personally appointed by Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to be his special envoy to the UK, also urged Muslims to defeat the opposition to the Iranian regime and keep the 30-year-old Islamic Republic alive.

In his first interview with an English language newspaper, Ayatollah Abdolhossein Moezi, director of the Islamic Centre of England, said he regretted that protesters were killed by the Iranian security forces after the presidential election in June but that their deaths were "unavoidable".

Ayatollah Moezi, the most senior Iranian spiritual leader in Britain with thousands of followers from the Shia sect, said that it was wrong for followers of Islam to serve in the Armed Forces, especially in Afghanistan and Iraq where Muslims were being killed.
"Not only do I not accept it for Muslims to go there, I don't accept non-Muslims to go there as well," Ayatollah Moezi told The Times through an interpreter provided by him. "We say that Muslims are not allowed to go and kill Muslims. Do you think that Christians are allowed to go and kill Muslims?"

The cleric, 65, condemned the massacre in Texas last week of 13 American soldiers at the Fort Hood base by a Muslim military psychiatrist and insisted that it should not be used to tarnish the image of the world's 1.5 billion Muslim population.

He said the September 11 attacks and the London bombings were wrong but accused the forces of "Zionist imperialism" of using the atrocities to smear Islam and its followers....

When I think of muslims not integrating into our society I always think of the Amish and how very similar that group is, but yet so so different.

The Amish aren't truly integrated into our society, are fundalmentalists, have a special dress code, have very strict rules on the way they use technology, a religious law that is a bit different then our country's laws-shunning yet they do follow our laws, etc..

Just think if honor killing became nothing more then just a plain old shunning!

I know that there is always a bad apple in any group but look how peaceful the Amish are. They go about living their lives and don't impose any of their rules onto others.

Amish don't go around preaching hate, acting out suicide bombings, being disrespectful to a country that has given them freedom of religion.

Right on! It's seldom I agree with the Ayatollahs, but in this case I do. Get them out, and what's more, don't let them in in the first place. A soldier in combat needs to know that he can trust his comrades when the chips are down.
I would not want to go into combat with soldiers who owe their first loyaly to an archaic medieval belief system. The U.S is already finding out the dangers of ignoring the warnings.

Getting the moslems out of all infidel's armed forces is a great idea. They have proven they can do more harm within the service than without. Throwing them out of the military
is a start. Because we are at war with islam maybe we should consider Michelle Malkins idea of internment camps. It worked for FDR. There were no attacks inside the country by radicalized, otherwise peaceful Shinto Samauri.
I got a basic question, "Why can "freedom fighters" get away with saying islam is at war with us, "Death to America, "Death to all that insult Islam", etc., but we can't even say something as ill defined and obtuse like 'war on terror' without a tiny minority crying "victim, foul!" and our OWN government sides with them instead of the people they were elected, and paid by, to serve.
Looks like they're winning. We can have dialogues till the cows come home but, at the end of the day the common denominator is: islam and Western Civilization have IRRECONCILEABLE DIFFERENCES. Better both sides at opposite ends of the playground.

An Ayatollah is no mere cleric. No run-of-the-mill imam. No, they really know their Islam.

And that particular Ayatollah does see the world through an Islamic prism. Given that non-Muslims in his world must dance to a Muslim tune, his question--"Do you think that Christians are allowed to go and kill Muslims?" is completely logical--to him.

Never mind that his assertions and questions were directed at filthy British kuffar--people to whom Islam's teachings should mean nothing personally--asking if filthy Kuffar Christians are 'allowed' to kill Muslims is telling.

pvb, you answer your own question with your next sentence:

Deporting the Moslems back to Moslem lands might not be good, but it's nowhere near as bad as the actions routinely imposed on Christians (and other "non-believers") in Moslem lands. It's not as bad as the mass-murder and enslavement of Christians in the Sudan; it's not as bad as the legal disabilities imposed on Christians in Egypt, Malaysia, Iran, Pakistan, etc.; it's not as bad as the rapes, murders, assaults, or arson practiced by Moslems against Christians and never investigated (sometimes never even recorded) by the police in Egypt, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nigeria, etc.
Yes, deportation might be bad; but there are worse things -- some a lot worse. Even the current situation of allowing rampant Moslem criminality -- from schoolyard bullying and welfare fraud through rapes and muggings to honor killings and terrorist massacres -- to go largely unpunished and ignored is worse.
