This string of attacks has focused significantly on law enforcement in various forms, targeting the government's ability to protect its citizens, and striking at symbols of insufficiently Islamic law. "Four killed, 31 injured in Peshawar suicide bombing," from the Press Trust of India, November 16:
Islamabad/ Peshawar: A suicide bomber today rammed his explosives-laden truck into a police station in this northwest Pakistani city, killing at least four persons and injuring 31 in the seventh terror attack here in 10 days. The attacker targeted a police station at Badabher on the outskirts of the provincial capital at 7.45 am, police said.
Hospital officials said four persons were killed and two women, nine children and two paramilitary personnel were among the injured. Earlier, state-run PTV had reported that five persons were killed in the attack. Hospital officials said the death toll was revised after they learnt that a body they received was that of a man killed in an accident.
A mosque and a house near the police station were reduced to rubble while 10 shops, a college and several cars were badly damaged by the powerful blast. Footage on television showed the facade of several buildings was devastated by the blast.
"The bomber came in a car from the direction of the Khyber Agency. The bomber struck the wall between the police station and the mosque. The mosque collapsed due to the blast and the police station was damaged. A nearby market was also damaged," said Shahibzada Anees, the district administration chief. Police said the bomber's truck was packed with about 250 kg of explosives.
A paramilitary trooper who was injured in the attack said the bomber detonated his explosives when security personnel fired at the truck. Policemen cordoned off the area as local residents and rescue workers removed the rubble by hand to pull out the dead and injured. Ambulances ferried bodies and the injured to hospitals, where an emergency was declared.
This was the seventh terrorist attack in Peshawar and its surrounding areas in the past 10 days. An anti-Taliban mayor in Badabher area escaped an attempt on his life by burqa-clad militants yesterday while 12 people were killed in a suicide car bomb attack on a police check post on the city's outskirts on Saturday....
Well, at least they got a mosque.
Now will the Muslims rise up and protest against this act of the Taliban like they did a bunch of cartoons?
..waits ... waits .... waits ....
In the absence of either a ruthless dictator, or of endless oil revenues, for which no effort is required, that can be used to temporarily buy off, or drown in a sea of wealth, all potential domestic enemies, the natural state of Muslim societies today is that of internecine hostilities and warfare. The atmospherics of Islam, the violence and aggression of Qur'an, Hadith, Sira, are supposed to be directed against Infidels. But while the presence of Infidels can unite Muslims in a hatred still greater than that they may feel for each other, the absence of Infidels will lead, inevitably, to the aggression and violence with which Islam is suffused to internecine warfare.
And that is why it is foolish to have an obvious Infidel presence in Iraq and Afghanistan (and, by obvious extension, in Pakistan). From the sky, from the air, by all means intermittently bomb and unintermittently keep watch. But pull those Infidel troops back, and hark, what welcome discord follows. And how.
Peshawar: Another day, another bombing

Now, Marisol—you're just focussing on the negative—what about all the other Muslims in Peshawar who didn't ram explosives-laden trucks into police stations today? sarc/off
more:
A mosque and a house near the police station were reduced to rubble

Will there be a huge outcry by ordinary Muslims in Pakistan against the Taliban over the desecration of destroying a mosque—the same sort of outcry one finds if a mosque is so much as searched in Dar-al-Harb?
I wouldn't count on it, since the destruction was caused by devout Muslims.
From the article - "A mosque and a house near the police station were reduced to rubble.."
There is nothing in the Qur'an that says you may not blow up a mosque.
6 SUICIDE bombers attacks in 8 days hmm is allha running out of virgins yet??
Obviously Allah willed it, because the mosque was blown up. Allah's will is mysterious, compassionate and merciful, and all knowing. /sarc

Muslim on Muslim violence. Heartbreaking and a threat to diversity.
I hope everyone observed this sentence toward the bottom of the article:
"An anti-Taliban mayor in Badabher area escaped an attempt on his life by *burqa-clad militants* {my emphasis - dda} yesterday".
I wonder just how many cases jihadwatch has recorded in the archives by now, of 1. jihad raids either attempted or performed by either women or men wearing the burqa/ niqab, and 2. simple crimes, e.g. shoplifting, armed robbery, carried out in Muslim lands or in non-Muslim lands under cover of the burqa (which in Western lands, such as the UK, conveniently conceals the face of the perp from the gaze of the security cameras), and 3. the use of the burqa, either within non-Muslim or Muslim lands, by Muslim males, to elude Law Enforcement...or the pursuit of rival jihad gang bosses?
Each and every one of those cases supplies the very good and sufficient public-safety reason why non-Muslim countries, whether in the East or in the West, the North or the South, should institute and enforce a ban upon the wearing of the burqa within their jurisdictions. (Ideally, of course, they would simply evict all the currently-resident Mohammedan colonies; but before they can work themselves around to *that*, banning the burqa would be a good interim measure).
"Orc on Orc" is ok it's religiously permitted.
They're not going to listen to anything we have to say about gruesome allah stuff.
I read an article in a Pakistan-based publication today that polled scores of people on the street...and almost to a man, they all insisted these bombings were the work of Indian or American intelligence...even though the Taliban has publicly claimed responsibility for each event.
Witness the ethereal, nether-nether world that is Darul Islam.
But on the other hand, there is now an Arabic speaking robot! http://www.daily.pk/first-arabic-speaking-robot-built-in-uae-12931/
Built by a Greek expat (is this irony, or what?) and named Ibn Sina, it sports a white cloak, golden-trimmed robe, a turban and gray beard. It is reported the the first worlds out of its mouth were "Allahu Akbar!" (Just kidding, but I would not be surprised if it were either this or the Shahada, or some such. It most likely was not some Creek Orthodox chant.)
No big deal. Nature has already created a billion Muslim robots.
Was allah not watching over those poor souls?
an Arabic speaking robot--------
It would have to be an improvement on the sub-human species of Arabic-speaking muslims. It was probably developed to eventually replace the millions of foreign workers that do all the work muslims are either too good or too busy waging jihad to do. Let's hope islam isn't programmed into it.
bombs, bodies, blood...just another day for Islam...the religion of peace...

This in no way surprises me—I have heard similar things before, from all over Dar-al-Islam.
The only twist in the subcontinent is that Muslims are a bit less likely to blame the Jews—India is their big bogeyman.
Nothing negative, of course, can be laid at the blood-stained feet of Islam.
