Rally for Rifqa, Columbus, Ohio, November 16

Here is video of the rally for human rights and religious freedom in defense of Rifqa Bary, yesterday in Columbus, Ohio. Speakers included Simon Deng, the courageous ex-slave from the Sudan; the knowledgeable and indefatigable ex-Muslim Nonie Darwish; Jim Lafferty of the anti-Sharia coalition that fought against the Islamic Saudi Academy expansion in Virginia; Rifqa's dear friend Jamal Jivanjee; Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs; and me.

(Video thanks to Pamela.)

Having an insane conspiracy nut for a leader does not add any ledgidimacy to a cause, in fact it diminishes the real problem and undermines any solutions.

Ignorance is not an excuse for making baseless, and in the world of techies frankly laughable accusations of whitehouse.gov "tracking" your readers. Pamela herself placed a flash movie hosted @ whitehouse.gov on her site, which causes (thanks to Adobe) creation of whitehouse.gov cookies on anyone's computer who's reading atlasshrugs blog. It takes under 15 minutes of research even for a complete layman to realize this fact.

I repeat, her claim of whitehouse.gov tracking is ignorant nonsense, but I find it beneath myself to explain this in details unless someone requests an explanation.

In addition her cries of foul for a state to allow a protected juvenile to appear at some nutcase ralley where her sanity and wellbeing may be threatened are careless at the least and intentionally harmfull for the girl at worst.

Hire some lawyers, use our justice system, don't run around yapping some crazy conspiracy crap...

Thanks

Alas, she has finally relented and admitted a bogus wolf cry. That deserves respect in my eyes, check the end of this here post:

My apologies for being a bit too frank about the whole thing, but I think someone who's making a name for themselves on the internet should self educate him/herself a bit about underlying technology.

Cheers

Very inspiring rally! Thank you.

It's spelled "legitimacy," not "ledgidimacy." (lol!)

And many other spelling mistakes, in addition. Plus, ever heard of a "hyphen?"

How's your GED going?

And, I wouldn't e-mail the White House due to the current Moslem-in-residence. No. Way.

You're the "crap," btw.

KOZ...Alas, she has finally relented and admitted a bogus wolf cry. That deserves respect in my eyes...

That's mighty big of you big guy...I wonder if anyone actually cares?

Conspiracy theories...Not all conspiracy theories are theories, some of them are actualities...The trick is to tell, which are real and which are not...In these days of Rasulullahhaha Obama's Caliphate, everything that even resembles a conspiracy should get a hard look...To not do that is foolish...Unless one is tiptoeing through the tulips, and like Percival, the pure fool, is looking up as he is about to step off a cliff...Pamela is not tiptoeing through any tulips...

darcy: Thanks for pointing out my spelling errors, English isn't my first language though, so I trust Google's Firefox plug-in to do it for me, apparently it failed me this time...

Are you suggesting that Pamela Geller is an "insane conspiracy nut"?! Pamela Geller has worked tirelessly to protect this innocent muslim girl from her abusive parents and the islamic community in Ohio, who want her silenced and punished for apostasy and for speaking truthfully about islam. Muslims go to great lengths to obfuscate the truth about islam because they know it would be horrifying and revulsive to infidels. Pamela has worked tirelessly to save this girl from islamic justice; the brutal, malevolent punishment her own family or other muslims would inflict on this innocent child for choosing Christianity over islam. She has a death sentence hanging over her head and even if it takes years, they will kill her if they can get their hands on her.

Pamela Geller is far too intelligent and busy to engage in the fabrication of frivolous conspiracy theories. Those are better left to muslims, who spend most of their waking hours concocting them, discussing them, and disseminating them. Any "technical" issues pale in comparison to what is at stake here and nothing could undermine Ms. Geller's extraordinary efforts and hard work on behalf of Rifqua and to educate Americans on the dangers of sharia, stealth jihad, honor killings, and islamic imperialism.

I seriously doubt anyone cares, nor do I, really, just putting my $0.02 in.

As far as conspiracy theories about Obama you mentioned (Birth certificate & Antisemitic Muslim lover), personally I've yet to see any serious proof. I may disagree with some of Obama's policies, speeches, and his insistence on bending over before some "royal" types, but I respect results of a democratic election, and have trust in American people and the government they have elected.

Susanp: Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Pamela isn't doing an amazing job trying to protect this innocent girl from the sadistic death cult that is islam. She's done many other great things, and I'm humbled to know there are people like her.

I do however think that some of her conspiracy theories are totally out there, and bringing them up publicly before exercising all due diligence, and presenting proof is only hurting her cause IMHO.

I was at the rally on Monday and I've got to tell you guys, there is hope for our country. I met the coolest folks who came from all over the country to support Rifqa and stand for freedom. People came from California, Wisconsin, Colorado, South Carolina, New York, New Jersey, and especially Florida and Ohio. People told me that they jumped a plane to come because they had to do something to help Rifqa and they had to make a stand for freedom. One man and his teenaged daughter read about the rally on Pamela's site and flew in from California. Another guy went to Florida first and then came to Ohio, also from the west coast. When I asked him why he came he said he was ready to help this young lady in any way he could; a true patriot, warrior and protector of American freedom.

By watching the video above you can hear the wonderful speeches that were given by those amazing pro-freedom patriots who risk their lives to get the message out. What you don't see is what took place after the rally and for the rest of the day. I met people who came to the rally by themselves and who told me they want to do something about this problem with encroaching Islam. There was a general theme that they are the only ones in their families and among their friends who seem to be concerned about this imminent threat. What these people found out on Monday is that there are hundreds of people just like them who are concerned and courageous and that they are not alone. Friendships were made, networks created and trust was built as we grabbed some eats and a couple of beers at a local pub. We got to know each other, got to hear stories about what we've done on our own and what some of us who are already engaged have done together. I saw people laughing, sharing and suddenly recognizing that they are not alone. And the other thing people realized is that there are many other people out there that have got their back, which is something that is automatically afforded anyone who wants to help and wants to fight for freedom.

I have often been amazed at how people treat each other in the anti-jihad, pro-freedom movement. The men are very respectful of the women and create a safe environment for us to do what we need to do. The women are very supportive of the men but also not given a secondary position or asked to walk two steps behind. We are respected and acknowledged for our intelligence, our gumption and our willingness to get involved and help. And the leadership and rock stars of the movement, like Robert and Pamela and Andrew Bostom and Nonie treat us like WE'RE the important ones, like WE'RE the ones that make things happen. I have been fascinated by this and also attracted to it since I first joined ACT! for America two years ago. If you come and join in the fight you are an equal, your opinions and ideas are listened to and given equal time with Robert's and Pamela's and they are grateful, GRATEFUL, that we offer them.

These people also epitomize everything that Islam is not: warmth, caring, helping each other, consideration for other people's feelings, prayers and support for those having difficulties. It is an amazing Fellowship of the Ring. No, it is the Fellowship of Liberty and I invite each and every one of you reading here to join us, get involved and become one of us. We welcome you with open arms and look forward to seeing you at the next rally, protest or speech. Once you do it will be an experience you will never forget and will want to keep coming back again and getting more an more involved, and that will help you to see that we really do have power, that we really can make a difference and that love will conquer hate and good can overcome evil.

Vive la liberte!

Thank you so much for the eyewitness account, Isabella. I wish I could have been there!

I think this rally was of supreme importance—to let Rifqa know that she hasn't been forgotten, and let the Ohioan authorities know that a lot of good people are watching them, just as in Florida.

Ah, Simon Deng and Nonie Darwish.
One is a lion with the voice of an angel and the other is an angel with the voice of a lion.
They are both such beautiful people and have gone through so much. We must heed their warnings and fight sharia all the way. We must write our members of Congress and our Parliamentary Members and isist an end to the political correctness that is so deceiving our masses and undermining our society to eat away at it and make way for sharia. It must be stopped now!

What a wonderful speech.
I thought I'd get away from it for a bit and write this as I am so overwhelmed.
Thanks, Robert and Pamela for organizing such a wonderful display of freedom of speech in the face of tyranny.
And thank you for caring so much for the freedom of one individual human being, little Rifqa, a lamb who is trying to escape the slaughter that is Islam.

Fellowship of Freedom, yes.

And a real-life Order of the Phoenix.

Inspiring rally.
