Doesn't this strike you, as it will everyone here, as being symptomatic of what the entire problem is? You will sympathize with these folks because you are Pakistani, and your heart is still in Pakistan, as it is for the others in the story above, and not with the culture you have escaped to that offers you welcome and safety and opportunity. Instead, you bring with you the attitudes and world view that are responsible for creating the very same problems you left Pakistan to escape. And you don't allow the strings to wither to the "old country" and its problems, as they should, but rather seek to reconstruct the very same environment here that you left. We have problems here to be sure, which you gleefully point out, but we judge them to be less problematical than the "solution" you would impose.
