ZAMBOANGA, Philippines (AFP) - The Philippine government on Monday vowed to take revenge against Al Qaeda-linked Islamic militants after they dumped the severed head of a kidnapped school principal at a petrol station.The head of Gabriel Canizares was found inside a bag at the petrol station on the restive southern island of Jolo at dawn, 22 days after he was abducted, but the rest of his body remained missing, local police said.
The Abu Sayyaf had demanded a two-million-peso (42,000-dollar) ransom for the release of Canizares, but authorities and his relatives refused to pay.
President Gloria Arroyo's office said the Abu Sayyaf, blamed for the country's worst terrorist attacks and other beheadings of kidnap victims, was behind Canizares' murder, and vowed tough action against the militants.
"We shall make them pay for the enormity of this savagery," Arroyo's spokeswoman, Lorelei Fajardo, said in a statement.
She said authorities were determined to "put an end to the Abu Sayyaf group's heinous and inhumane atrocities".
Arroyo had ordered the military and police units operating on Jolo and other Abu Sayyaf strongholds in the southern Philippines into "full swing" in an effort to crush them, according to Fajardo and the military....

Americans seem to be a lot of things—shocked, saddened, bewildered, in need of grief counceling—but we are *not enraged*.

The Ft. Hood massacre was a cold-blooded act of pre-meditated Jihad terrorism. The Jihadist murdered not thirteen of his fellows at the base, but *fourteen*—one of his victims was pregnant—and wounded almost forty more. If the heroic officer Kimberly Munley hadn't taken Hasan down, I'm sure the toll would be even higher.

I believe the more devout the muslam the more deceptive he becomes and the more he gives at least moral support to islamic terrorists. There is no backlash only the terrible realisation that they are now acting out here, and must be stopped.

Bill Patterson, the Australian government’s top adviser on international terrorism and a former ambassador to Thailand, said long-running insurgencies in southern Philippines and southern Thailand were among the most violent terrorist threats in Asia.

The Philippines has its share of PC MC idiots as well, inherited from their inculcation in modern Western values through the US influence. In the years after 911, for example, the President made Ramadan a national holiday, in a non-Muslim country! That said, not all PC MC countries are exactly alike. Philippines, both in its elite culture and its general society is likely considerably less PC MC than the US is, for example; while the US is less so than Canada is; etc.

Odd isn't it? Half the islamic world erupts when a schoolteacher names a teddy bear mohammed and we're supposed to be grateful when a few "moderates" "negotiate" her release, but when a massacre of US soldiers occurs, we've got to bite our collective tongue and listen attentively to the clerics who shriek of a (non-existent) backlash against the muslim community.

Now *that* is where Australian and American and Canadian soldiers would be much more usefully deployed.
Rather than building things for jihadis to blow up again, in Iraq or Afghanistan, and being tricked and fleeced and regularly shot in the back, they should be helping the majority-kafir Philippines hammer the jihad gangs, the sharia-pushers, in the southern islands.
PS - it should be noted that the Philippines is one of two places in the world - the other is Madagascar - where we can see what ethnically-Malay people are like when their brains are not addled by Islam. It allows one to look at Malaysia and Indonesia and think...what a terrible, terrible waste of human potential.
