Rome, 16 Nov. (AKI) - Libya's controversial leader Muammar Gaddafi has created headlines in Italy after inviting 200 women to a party and inviting them to convert to Islam. Gaddafi who is in Rome for the United Nations-sponsored global food summit, held the party at the house of the Libyan ambassador, Hafed Gaddur, on Sunday.
"Convert to Islam. Jesus was sent to the Jews, not for you. Mohammed, on the other hand, was sent for all human beings," he reportedly said.
Never mind that bit about "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations" (Matt. 28:19).
"Whoever goes in a different direction than Mohammed is wrong. God's religion is Islam and whomever follows a different one, in the end, will lose," said Gaddafi quoted by Italian daily La Stampa.
After arriving an hour late, Gaddafi began distributing gifts to the women, who were reportedly all Italian.
They were also each given a copy of the Islamic holy book the Koran as well as the Libyan leader's Green Book, which outlines the Libyan leader's view on political philosophy and democracy.
He then sat next to Libya's ambassador to Italy Hafed Gaddur and an interpreter with two of his renowned female guards, known as 'Amazon Guards'.
Gaddafi then began a speech in which he invited the women to convert to Islam, emphasising his support for equal rights but not equal duties.
According to the Libyan leader, women must do only "what their physical condition allows them" and spoke about the role that women played during World War II.
"What their physical condition allows them": Sojourner Truth would beg to differ: "That man over there says that women need to be helped into carriages, and lifted over ditches, and to have the best place everywhere. Nobody ever helps me into carriages, or over mud-puddles, or gives me any best place! And ain't I a woman? Look at me! Look at my arm! I have ploughed and planted, and gathered into barns, and no man could head me! And ain't I a woman?..."
And for that matter, then, what's the point of his female bodyguards?
Gaddafi criticised the West, saying that women there "have often been used as pieces of furniture, changed whenever it pleases men. And this is an injustice."
After all, the correct Qur'anic term is "tilth" (2:223).
Gaddafi also invited the women attending the party to travel to the Islamic holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.....

This may sound insane, but I'm sure there are people here who think I'm nuts anyway. My reaction to this was to pray that God would let the true Word of God (Christ, as witnessed to in the pages of the Old and New Testaments) might catch hold of Moammar Qaddafi, his family, and his country.
When Qaddafi said that "Christ came for the Jews", I wonder if he wasn't giving an interpretation from a quick, superficial glance at the Gospels. This is an impression that a none-too-wary reader may come away with. It's certainly one that I had as a young man before I took a second, third, fourth, and in-context look.
Could it be that his flaming Islamic tyrant is tempted by and sampling the forbidden fruits--the Gospels, not women--growing in OUR garden? God (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--not the Black Stone)has called in grace many other "unlikely" prospects from the Ninevites to whom Jonah preached on through the repentant thief of Luke 23 and Saul of Tarsus (aka Paul)and then on and beyond throughout the Christian centuries.
Perhaps one reason why the Islamic world in general is "on the boil" is precisely because there are millions of Muslims who are no longer certain of the answers their faith offers. They try to mask this uncertainty with violent attacks on the things that tempt them.
May Qaddafi--and millions more like him--come to know that Jesus Christ is the one truly anointed by God the Father as prophet, priest, and king; and that Jesus is indeed God Incarnate, the one who truly gave His life as a ransom for many, who rose from the dead on the third day, reigns from heaven, and sends His Holy Spirit to apply His benefits to us. Amen.

Gaddafi started out, after his military coup, as a pan-African (like he's an African) socialist with islamic "points of view".
Over the years, he has abandoned his pan-African and socialistic views (the obvious reason is true Africans don't buy into his BS and the socialism (Russian communism has failed) so all he is left with is islam.
And islam is the way this guy will go.

He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you." The women asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion."
The above is a hadith whose authenticity is unquestioned. Muslims are required to accept it and be guided by it.

I heard this story on the Italian news last night and it was like a paid advertisement had been inserted into the broadcast (nothing new in that really). They presented the story with a young woman (testimonial) and pictures of her thumbing the pages of the Koran and the other little green book affectionately and musing over the words she remembered from the previous night's encounter with the Libyan leader. There was a heavy emphasis placed on his message to the women that Jesus had not died on the cross but had been substituted. Then the journalist(sic) asked the young woman 'Are you a Catholic?' (Like, what are the chances in Italy?). The woman nods, smiles and then says that she will need to reflect on what had been said to her. Pan out to show beaming and hapless maiden caressing the Koran and cue music...200 more women scheduled to meet with him tonight. Film at 11 (or not).

What Gaddafi actually said was basically recycling something he said earlier in the year.
In the Arab and Islamic worlds women are "like a piece of furniture that you can change whenever you like and nobody will ask why you have done it."
Only recently has he applied this to the West.

As a matter of curiosity, which language did you quote Isaiah in? I don't know nay of the languages using the Arabic alphabet. My other languages are Chinese, Ancient Greek, Ancient Hebrew (badly), French (badly), and spoken Thai.
But, I have heard of cracks in the Islamic world. On my drive home from work, I pass a church which hosts an Iranian congregation. Some West African immigrants in my neck of the American woods are also leaving Islam for Christianity. I've also heard that among the Kabyles in Algeria, there are Christian groups that are no longer underground.
Now if 500 Bibles were handed out to 500 women in Libya, it doesn't take a genius to know what would happen to those women, or the people who handed out those Bibles. At the moment, the West is in terminal decline and looks decadent to our oldest enemy thanks to political correctness and our own stupidity, and this is just another example of it. At this rate, in something like 100 or so years from now, the West will become an Islamic state akin to Tom Kratman's novel Caliphate courtesy of these sort of conversions, an exploding Muslim birth rate and collapsing infidel birth rates, but unlike that novel, by then there will not be the promise of anyone around to release the powerless Christian and Jewish minorities of the former West from the Islamic chains that will ultimately bind them hand and foot. And it will be the fault of our generation living at the start of the 21st century and born in the first 70 years following World War II - the first generations the West has ever produced that won't fight to preserve Western civilization and culture, and we will stand guilty of throwing away the freedoms given to us by 60 or more past generations representing tens if not hundreds of millions who fought against the Jihad over a period of over 1,300 years. What's rally disgusting about this is that the Italians allowed the Libyans to use an Italian agency that hires and supplies hostesses to political events, conferences, etc. and that the Libyans specified that they wanted only women between 18 and 35. When one combines that fact with Qadaffi's rather suspicious invitation, it becomes clear that the Libyans were looking not only for young women to convert to Islam but for women of child bearing age for possible Muslim husbands in Libya if these women accepted Qadaffi's invitation - the purpose being to create more Muslims.
It is not about winning or losing, Muammar. It's about seeing or not seeing.
