Reporting from Washington - Eight American civilians were killed today when a lone suicide bomber struck a U.S. base in eastern Afghanistan, U.S. officials said.The attack, which took place at Forward Operating Base Chapman in Khowst province, also injured an undisclosed number of civilians, the officials said. No military personnel from U.S. or North Atlantic Treaty Organization forces were killed or injured in the attack, they said....
I just heard Gen Wesley Clark say that trying the Gitmo detainess in civilian courts will allow their atrocities to be aired so that Muslims worldwide will see how terrible they are.
But think about it: If years of daily, relentless, indiscriminate attacks on civilians by Muslims in the news haven't alienated significant numbers of Muslims, then does anybody really think the trial disclosures will matter?

It now turns out that the 8 American "civilians" were actually CIA. The same CIA who relentlessly aided jihad right there in Afghanistan for an entire decade. The same CIA who helped the jihadists butcher Serb Christians in Bosnia and Kosovo. No one knows about it better than Robert Gates, for it was he, as the CIA director, who was in charge of aiding jihad in Afghanistan. Now, as the US Secretary of Defense, he walks in the Russians' shoes. Talk about irony. This is where Cantacuzening jihad against "others" gets you.

It will only achieve the opposite. All it will do is make Muslim chests swell out with pride at the fact that they can commit terrorist atrocities against infidels at will and without any consequences, thanks to our cravenness in the face of evil. Of course, to comprehend such a thing is to go against the politically correct gibberish we in the West have been taught over the last 40 or 50 years, thats why we hold zoo creatures to a higher moral standard than Muslims.
In addition, are blockheadedness and crass stupidity the only qualifications needed to get to the top in the West? It certainly seems so.
