Authorities: "Chicago man" charged with helping plot Mumbai attacks also conducted surveillance of nuclear plant

An update on this story. "Chicagoan Said to Have Helped Terrorists Target Nuclear Plant," by Richard Esposito and Brian Ross for ABC News, December 20 (thanks to Sr. Soph):

The Chicago man charged with helping plot the terror attacks one year ago in Mumbai also photographed and conducted surveillance of a nuclear weapons fuel plant in Tromboy, India, according to Indian and U.S. law enforcement authorities.
The authorities say David Headley was sent to Tromboy, a northwest suburb of Mumbai, by his handlers in the terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba, an affiliate of al Qaeda.
The Bhabha Atomic Research Center in Tromboy is capable of producing 66 pounds of plutonium a year for four the country's nuclear weapons, according to David Albright of the Institute for Science and International Security.
"You would have had one helluva international crisis if they had taken control of the facility and caused some kind of accident with a serious release of radioactive material," said Albright.
"There have always been questions about India's nuclear security and because it's located on the water and not far from Mumbai, it would be a logical target," added Albright.
Headley is accused by federal authorities of conducting the pre-operational surveillance of the Mumbai hotels that were stormed by Lashkar-e-Taiba gunmen last November 26. [...]
The Pakistani-born American citizen travelled to Mumbai five times between 2006 and 2008, posing as an American Jew with a new video camera, according to U.S. officials.

Spot the inaccuracy:

Headley's role in the planning of a possible attack on the nuclear facility came to light after the FBI arrested him in connection with the hotel attacks and another planned attack on a Danish newspaper which had published cartoons mocking Allah. [...]
The impact of such an attack would depend on the quality of the attacking force and their objective, said Lt. Steve Margolis of the Los Angeles Police Department, the former head of the department's anti-terror unit.
"It depends on what they were trying to achieve. Were they intending immediate panic, were they intending creating a loss of confidence in India's nuclear program? Were they looking for potential release / exposure?," said Margolis....

I think I spotted the inaccuracy...

'Danish newspaper which had published cartoons mocking Allah. [...]'

should read:

'Danish newspaper which had published cartoons mocking terrorists. [...]'

Absolutely. Stephen—it is not even accurate to say the cartoons were "mocking the prophet Muhammed", as they are usually characterized—certainly they were not "mocking Allah".

The cartoons—ironically, perhaps—were both mocking Jihad terrorists who would restrict freedom of speech, and *faint-hearted cartoonists who would censor themselves*, even when not directly under threat.

Of course, this last proved a bit...problematic, since even many of the most previously alarmed cartoonists were shocked by the murderous, hysterical reaction of the Muslim world to the "Motoons".

There are 3 nuclear power plants in close proximity to his accomplice’s raided meat packing plant in Morris, IL (just southwest of Chicago)

If Isaiah were a Muslim: "And they shall beat their plow shares into nuclear weapons and make peace with infidels no more". Ah, how inspiring.

How did the Los Angeles police get into the middle of this mix?

At first (several months ago for me) we were all shocked at the depravity that these scum are capable of committing against his fellow man. I am referring to blood, carnage and barbarity in bombings. Like the idiot who inserted the device in his rectum. Or the woman with a baby (that's the bomb). Or other bizarre acts.

With that in mind when a story like this surfaces I think we should assume the worst by a factor of ten. These evil followers of Satan have a supernatural source for their villainy.

Just don't be shocked in the future, you have been forewarned, sadly.

The attack on the twin towers was planned a long time before it occurred....The followers of the peaceful religion of Islam are still planning....

What a great scam islam is, if you're Satan! You have better than 95% of the membership in your cult believing they are following God, when you're really Satan. Of course probably 75% of your cult never reads about Mo or the founding of the cult directly, instead they "learn" about Islam from imams and mullahs, who are only repeating what they "learned" from their teachers. Many of these misguided people, I believe, would not be muslims if they had been allowed to learn from writings and been allowed to ask questions and been allowed freedom of conscience.

We should mock Allah anytime we get a chance.

Allah is Satan.

"... And they shall fly somebody else's jet airliners into nuclear power plants."

I still don't understand how we mere mortals can "mock" Allah. He is all powerful, right?

Short of like the ants "calling out" humans. Like we could even hear them.
