From Switzerland comes this contemporary political statement that is also an intimation of future Eurabian Christmases (thanks to Islam In Europe).
Christmas in Eurabia
According to Islam in Europe, this nonsense, equivalent to getting a Mahound action figure surrounded by Barbie dolls wearing t-shirts with the words "I haven't been raped or molested by the Rasool", was the idea of a local member of the Swiss Socialist Party (SP), whose most prominent (or notorious) member is the Ahmadinejad-loving, Eurabia enabling, minaret-loving Micheline Calmy-Rey. And that took place in the Ticino, an Italian-speaking canton where the vote in favor of the minaret ban reached 68%.
I hope this joke will get the outrage it has asked for from the Swiss population as a whole, since we know that Switzerland is NOT Sweden or the UK, not at least when it comes to being quiet if their political elites try to make everyone swallow such displays of surrender to mahound and its (not his) imaginary alter-ego allah.
It just occurred to me that much more appropriate additions to public Nativity displays, instead of minarets and actual full mosques, could be Charles Martel or John Sobieski action figures.
Since mahoundians hate Sir Winston Churchill for his role in defeating their hero, Amin al-Husseini's best friends forever Adolf Hitler, Britain's leader during World War II would also go a long way in adapting those displays to recent times, at least until the PC MC crowd stops messing with them in order to appease mahound-worshippers.
Fjordman's article is useful:
"The European Union and the Islamization of Europe"
http://www.jihadwatch.org/2008/02/fjordman-the-european-union-and-the-islamization-of-europe.html
Tho surrounded, the Christ Child, with arms outstretched, still calls those in need of true Faith.
Such is the power of the Lord.
Speaking of Christmas...Merry Christmas...
Interfaithing, which is syncretism, is an abomination.
Thanks for "bumping" that essay, Thomas. It's no doubt a must-read for all who care about the survival of the West.
Merry Christmas to Robert, Hugh, Marisol and all the wonderful posters / readers on Jihad Watch. Have a wonderful day!
I can't make out whether they are minarets or missiles
'stefcho ' in the comments on Fjordman's writing mentions ' The Alliance of Civilisations '
This seems to be a UN website .
A quick look at their website , which promises love , cooperation etc. between young Europeans , has an article criticising the minarets ban in Switzerland .
'This ill-fated action can serve as precedent and encouragement for right-wing groups across Europe who might want to spread phobia of the peace-preaching religion of Islam and marginalize their own minorities. It will also serve the cause of extremists in predominantly Muslim countries providing further “justification” for them to spread anti-Western sentiments. '
So the EU/ UN ( which is it exactly ?) can try to spread its propaganda about 'peaceloving muslims', as in the sentence above ,
'peace-preaching religion of Islam and marginalize their own minorities. ' through this forum .
Pity it contradicts itself in the next sentence 'It will also serve the cause of extremists in predominantly Muslim countries providing further “justification” for them to spread anti-Western sentiments. '
A further search and quoting from their , 'What we do '
reveals this ....
' The aim of the Alliance is to support, through a network of partnerships, the development of projects that promote understanding and reconciliation among cultures globally and, in particular, between ‘Muslim’ and ‘Western’ societies.

From the European Neighbouhood Policy website
'The EU offers our neighbours a privileged relationship, building upon a mutual commitment to common values (democracy and human rights, rule of law, good governance, market economy principles and sustainable development). The ENP goes beyond existing relationships to offer a deeper political relationship and economic integration. The level of ambition of the relationship will depend on the extent to which these values are shared. '
That last sentence above with its mention of 'shared values' pretty much rules out most /all of the countries they list -
see below .........
The European Neighbourhood Policy applies to the EU's immediate neighbours by land or sea – Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Morocco, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Syria, Tunisia and Ukraine. Although Russia is also a neighbour of the EU, our relations are instead developed through a Strategic Partnership covering four “common spaces”.
But I suppose they'll find some way of explaining this away when they decide to join us up with them !
Notice the background: it's the Muslim crescent near a Star of David. In case some of you are unaware, this is not some kind of interfaith message twaddle: Islam steals and appropriates non-Muslim symbols on a regular basis - particularly the Jewish one - just like it does with land, holy sites (like the Temple Mount and the Hagia Sophia), cultural accomplishments and and even with spiritual leaders (it did this to Jews with Moses, David and Solomon, and to Christians with Jesus). The Star next to the Crescent is an image I've seen too many times and it never fails to give me the shivers.
And this may not be the right place to post but nevertheless: Merry Christmas to Robert, Hugh and to all of our wonderful Christian friends. Thank you so much for your relentless efforts and good will.

The Christ Child surrounded by islamic minarets in Switzerland.
I can't believe this is happening in my lifetime.
Which is probably how many people felt in early-1930's Germany.
Darcy,
With some very important and sad exceptions:
Many in the west, do not even see the islamization of Europe as a problem.
2000 years ago Muhammads cult didn’t exist and there were no minarets in the ME. These people are insane....
People, if you have some time today, read this Dec. 24 article by Phyllis Chesler - "Could Jesus Live Safely in Bethlehem today." Also, she mentions the atrocity pictured above, the Christ Child surrounded by minarets. "The horror...The horror."
I think the intention is to show Islam's affinity with other faiths, and therefore its tolerant nature and compatibility with existing religious norms in Europe.
Sure, just like a retrovirus resembles your DNA.
May GOD bless you all this Christmas, and may the fight against all those evil doers attempting to throw the world into a living hell of mudslime persecution lean heavily in our favor throughout the new year.
Ugh.
And speaking of which, didn't Google celebrate ramadan and ein ged with motifs? For Christmas, Google just has a medley of some pics, one of them with the peace sign and a spaceship. Sigh.
Dhimmies... All of them...
Merry merry Christmas to each and everyone of you! I will be praying today, on this beautiful sunny southern California day, that Christ's light enter into each and every musselman and musselwoman's heart. I will pray that YHWH bestows introspection into their souls and that the LIVING GOD lifts their hearts from the darkness that is islame.
Joyeux Noel to Robert, Hugh, Marisol and all JW posters on this happy day, which may just be the biggets birthday party of all!

Thank you for this link, Darcy. This presents a much-needed antidote to this sort of vicious idiocy (From The Daily Planet newspaper, Berkeley, Ca, December 17):
"Jesus the Palestinian" by Jack D. Forbes
[here the author reluctantly admits that Jesus was Jewish—sorta—GI] ...Yehoshu’a was indeed a Palestinian, perhaps the greatest one of all. He was not a strictly orthodox Jew, but his belief system seems to fall within the broad parameters of the Judaism of that time period, I would think.
Perhaps he has returned to the Palestine of today and if so, where would he be? I would suggest that he would be working with those other Palestinians, no matter what their formal religion, who seek spirituality over form, kindness over cruelty, love over hate, sharing over exclusion, and mercy over murder. [Is he referring to Muslims here? This description doesn't much sound like them...]
He certainly would be with the poor and the suffering. [would that be Christians suffering under oppression and the threat of violence from Muslim "Palestinians"? Or Jewish settlers suffering under the threat of Jihad terrorism from those same Muslims? No, I didn't think so]
http://www.berkeleydailyplanet.com/issue/2009-12-17/article/34304?headline=Jesus-the-Palestinian
Is "We Are The World" playing in the background? Or more likely "We Will Rule The World."
merry Christmas to all.
Even as a baby in the manger Jesus had more power in his little baby pinky finger than Muhammad and all of his millions of followers would ever have.
You're welcome, gravenimage. Chesler is as brilliant as Spencer.

"Even as a baby in the manger Jesus had more power in his little baby pinky finger than Muhammad and all of his millions of followers would ever have." - ThinkThrice
Exactly. All the Mohammedans have is polygamous over-breeding ignorant brainwashed numbers. NOTHING against the power of Jesus, the Son of God and God.
We Swiss can be very stuborn people, and this stunt will only reassure us that we casted the right vote on this one.
If the goal is to change our minds on it, then this sure isn't the way to go.
Merry Christmas to all of you.
Hmm. I wonder how long it will be before the troll called peacemaker hijacks this thread with his moral relativist nonsense and his defending of the 9/11 atrocity.
More Seasons Cheer from the Religion of Peace: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,581153,00.html
"The education department in the canton of Zurich adopted new guidelines which take the religious feelings of children of other faiths into account. Activities and songs with religious content, for example those that refer to Jesus as the Son of God, are not allowed. In Islam, Jesus is a prophet but not the Son of God."
Hmm yes. I can understand that. To say Jesus is the Son of God IS gravely offensive to muslims.
However to say Jesus is a prophet and second to mohamed is gravely offensive to what is still the Christian majority but I suppose they never considered that.
Yes but Christianity includes the teachings of turn the other cheek and forgiveness so they can be expected to just endure the offense against their religion when it is denied that Jesus is God on Earth part of the triune Father Son and Holy Ghost. But in Islam any offense must be vigorously defended the way a thug street gang would defend their turf, fighting and killing and eliminating all who give offense. So that is why the typical liberal in the West gives deference to Islam while simultaneously offending and denying Christianity every chance they get.
What the heck is that supposed to be? A set of crackers filled with candy, and serpentina, ready to go off?
Is that all their imagination can put up?
Yes, in addition to the extremely offensive "content" of the scene, the actual production, the artistic aspect, the craftwork, is a total joke. And it is out of scale as well. A serious attempt to do a multicultural kresch would have the normal scene complete with animals and manger and then just have one minaret in the background. This presentation is militaristic. The missiles are ready to attack the baby Jesus.
As one who honors the memories of the great Swiss men Huldrych Zwingli, Heinrich Bullinger, Leo Jud, Guillaume Farel, John Calvin, and Francis Turretin, I see that creche scene as the worst possible mix of ancient and modern idolatry.
Think Thrice, don't worry about an attack on Jesus Christ. God the Father said to him, "Thou art my Son, this day I have begotten thee." (Psalm 2:7). Of this, Paul says, "God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day I have begotten thee. And as he raised him up from the dead , now no more to return to corruption..." (Acts 13:33-34). Psalm 2 warns those who would be free of God's son that they need to repent, lest they perish. That goes for Muslims as well as modern Western PeeCees.
Merry Christmas to all of you...
Don't let Islam takes over Europe...
That will be the end of Christmas...
The day will be replace by Muhmammad
birthday.....
We dont' have Christmas Trees but dates
palm trees...
No Eurabia.. please....
The United States will be United States of Arabica...
what do you think...????
Islam is a statist religion, demanding loyalty to an ideology much like communism or national socialism it has not contributed substantially to civilization and does not value individual freedom

I imagine that the "designer" of this scene had some concept that this would "promote brotherhood among all religions" or at least two of them.
Well, the Tooth Fairy, Sandman, Easter Bunny, Paul Bunyan, Peter Pan, Spock and the Wookie from Star Wars have a little message for this person:
"We don't exist, and neither does any real chance of long term equal standing and permanent peace between Islam and any other religion. Wake up and get back to the real world."
