Dhimmi megachurch pastor Rick Warren hurting for money

Megachurch Pastor Rick Warren Asks for Urgent Donations

"With 10 percent of our church family out of work due to the recession, our expenses in caring for our community in 2009 rose dramatically while our income stagnated," says Rick Warren.

Say, Rick, if you're that hard up, why don't you ask your pals the Saudis for some cash?

Purpose-driven dumnbass is more like it.

*** 92:8 ***

What does Fitzgerald call it? Atmospherics. Rick Warren surfs the atmospherics like a cloud of emotions from which his craven purpose-driven profit motive makes his dumbass-isms not only understandable but entirely excusable.

The problem with Rick is that he tries to be all things to all people, and thus renders himself worthless to all.

American jihadwatchers who are Christians might like to try applying 'shock therapy' to Rev Warren.

1. Send him a letter explaining about the Apostasy Law in Islam and challenging him to sign (and encourage his flock to sign) the Barnabas Fund petition about it, and to come out in public in support of the human right of apostates from Islam, whether within non-Muslim lands or in dar al Islam, to publicly practise their new faith (whatever it is) without being persecuted or killed by Muslims;

specifically, *demand* that he use his pulpit on behalf of Rifqa Bary.

Refer him to Samuel Zwemer "The Law of Apostasy in Islam" and Canon Sookhdeo's new book, 'Freedom to Believe: Challenging the Islamic Apostasy Law' (make sure you tell him Canon Sookhdeo is himself an apostate from Islam).

2. Obtain, and send to Rev Warren, a copy of Rev Mark Durie's new book "The Third Choice: Islam, dhimmitude or Freedom", together with Mark Durie's other book - "Revelation? Do We Worship the Same God?", setting out the bottomless gulf that separates Biblical faith (both Judaism and Christianity) from Islam.

Tell Rev Warren about the murder of Fr Daniel Sysoyev, by Muslims, in Moscow, and ask him to publicly speak out about it, commending the faith of Russian Christians, especially of those who like Fr Sysoyev are evangelising Muslims even at risk of their own lives; ask Rev Warren to condemn the assassins for their refusal to recognise Fr Sysoyev's right to a. criticise Islam and b. evangelise Muslims. Encourage Rev Warren to watch some of Fr Zakaria Botros' programs on 'Life TV' - and tell him that instead of asking for money for his own church he should be urging people to donate to Fr Botros' work. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God", etc.

Maybe he can sell prayer cloths that he's personally prayed over and offer 'em for the low low, low price of 10 bucks a pop.

He can advertise them as protection against the jihad.

I wonder if he's still our President's pastor.

The Saudis are going broke bailing out Dubai, if they've bought into this bond scheme:

So, I guess there won't be any islamic chickens coming home to roost at Warren's infidel church.

Pursuant to my posting above.

I have a strange sort of feeling that when Pam Geller was sleuthing about on the Rifqa Bary case, Rev Warren's 'Purpose-Driven Life' book was one of the books mentioned on Rifqa's myspace page. I might be remembering wrong. But if I'm not, perhaps Rev Warren should be told about this and asked point blank to stick his neck right out on behalf of that little person who is, perhaps, his single most courageous and Christian reader.

I was in the audience when Rick Warren spoke at ISNA. I recorded his speech to the Muslims. Here's the video:

Rick, When you don't know where you're going in life, any train will take you there.

Sorry Rick, not this time. Any like-minded individual would not support the dhimmis.

I am not a bit surprised, time to come into the real world Pastor Rick. The whole thing will dry up whilst you sit on the PC fence!
Read John 14:6

"Purpose-driven dumb-ass is more like it."

Exactly. Hey Rick - NO DONATIONS. Until you stop supporting Islam and it's non-existent pagan moon god (Mohamet), that commands mass-murder of all "Infidels."

Get it? NO DONATIONS.

Don't get me started on Rick Warren and that seeker-sensitive-slop he serves up disguised as the precious Gospel. I pay zero attention to Rick as it is ...and this dhimmi move on his part is just one more reason why others should, too.

Rev. Warren should refresh his Bible studies. Jesus clearly said that one cannot serve two masters, in this case Christianity and islam.

Rick Warren is slick and clever but such people are more often wrong than right. I've never had a good feeling about the man. He's too sure of himself for his (or anyone else's) good. Clever, pat statements. Juvenile metaphors. A rosy optimism which wreaks of sentimentality. Yuck.

Besides, that neatly trimmed beard of his tells me he's not as sincerely concerned with what is truly essential as much as he maintains he is. Rick Warren is into Rick Warren too much for my liking. Take by contrast, say, the present Pope. Would anyone seriously assert that Benedict is into himself too much? In any case, the guy is pretty much a goner on the issue of a PC/MC approach to Islam. He's dismissible. That's the bottom line on Rick Warren.

Pastor Warren seems to be one those ministers of faith who serves himself and only himself while peddling Tony Robbins pablum with a Christian patina much like that other mega church bozos.

I'm sure Screwtape would approve of his methods.

The fact that he shows up at Islamic shin digs and gives credence to their agendas only shows how little he knows of his own faith and that of Islam.

He deserves to circle the drain.

A question or two for Rick Warren: what does your "non-profit" receive in a year? And how much of that do you take as your cut?

I associate Rick Warren with a strain of pop-spirituality -- fast-food Christianity, if you will. More about packaging than substance. There are plenty more timeless sources of philosophical wisdom to be found than the Rick Warren Experience Starring Rick Warren.

I spend no time reading about, or listening to Warren or anyone like him...

I think I would prefer to throw in with Pastor John Hagee of San Antonio,Texas. Pastor Hagee has a very good understanding of the threat of fundamental Islam to Western values and has written about it as well as preached on it several times.

Marisol, you hit the nail on the head.
Pop-spirituality and "help my non-profit".

Dear Rick: I heard the Cross and Crescent Society needs a new leader since Ron Paul has proven himself too stupid.
Maybe you should apply you purpose driven false prophet.

Marisol and Wellington have said what I would say about Pastor Rick Warren.

This phony s.o.b. is right in there with other ilk such as Jim and Tammy Faye Baker and Joel Osteen and his trailer trash transplanted wife. Send me your money and receive life eternal!!

It appears that Rev. Warren is prepping to run for national office. I am sure both parties would welcome him with open arms. Being a good "everyman" is key to winning elections. So is the Rev. Warren's new fundraising ploy. He is following the rich tradition$ of the late Oral Roberts and Jim Baker. Pleading poor seems to work well.

HERE is the truly sad thing.

Little Rifqa Bary really did read Warren's book.

Here's part of her affidavit as presented by Pam Geller and reproduced here

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2009/08/rifqa-bary-my-father-was-very-intent-on-making-sure-that-his-children-and-especially-me-were-raised.html

on 31.8.2009:

"15. I became a Christian on Friday, November 18, 2005 at the Korean United Methodist Church in Columbus, Ohio;
16. I hid my Christian faith from my parents as best as I could and had to sneak around to attend Christian campus meetings, I also hid my Bible at home in various locations;

17.* In about 2007 my father discovered a copy of a book entitled the "Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren* {my emphasis - dda} that I hid in my bedroom". END EXCERPT

I'd say Rifqa took more from Warren's book than he put into it.

Warren should be told about this, LOUDLY. He should be told that if his faith has any substance at all - if he meant even one word he put into that book - he should be outside that Ohio courthouse at every hearing to do with Rifqa, even if it means sitting neck-deep in snow in a howling blizzard; he should be hammering, night and day, on the Governor's door. He should be bending Obama's ear on behalf of Rifqa. He should be *shouting* at the media to believe her.

His littlest and most sincerely Christian reader deserves every last cent in his pockets and every drop of blood in his body.

"An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last." ~Winston Churchill
This quote was on the ISNA video sites main page. Makes sense This pastor dude seems to be typical of PC neoliberals even though he doesn't fit the profile.
Viewing all the characters involved in the mooselimb issue (the whole world, by default) makes me feel that my IQ must have increased 100%.

Sorry, Rick. You may have to downsize. People are catching on. High time.

Looks like Rick Warren's appeal for money worked - to the tune of $2.4M. Check out http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D9D01NAG1&show_article=1

I agree with the above posters that Warren owes Rifqa Bary his support. He seems to be too much into himself and his megachurch activities to actually be the Christian pastor he claims to be. Sad. Same with Joel Osteen and his trophy wife.
