Dhimmitude and stealth jihad at Fort Hood

I have word from an informed source that a top representative of the Muslim Brotherhood arm known as the Islamic Society of North America -- Louay Safi -- is at Fort Hood this week training the army brigade getting ready to deploy to Afghanistan. At about 1800 EST today, Safi gave a check to families of the victims of the Major Hasan jihad killings.

The Fort Hood leadership was overheard commenting that Safi was "really nice."

The Muslim Brotherhood is dedicated in its own words to "a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands"? The rest of that passage, of course, is: "...and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions." That's from "An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Brotherhood in North America," by Mohamed Akram, May 19, 1991.

ISNA is a Brotherhood entity, and an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case.

This is criminal and the base commander should be fired right now.

One more unbelievable thing. How can this be?

"At about 1800 EST today, Safi gave a check to families of the victims of the Major Hasan jihad killings."

Of course, this is merely a variant on the blood money that is paid, in Muslim countries, by the families of murderers to the families of the victims, in order that the victims' families will let the murderer go otherwise unpunished. It is also a public-relations gesture of the most obvious and disgusting kind, and if the commanders at Fort Hood had understood more, they would have torn up the checks the way Giuliani tore up the ten million dollar check from the Saudi "prince" with a tic, the one who has now endowed Esposito's operation and had it named, in gratitude, after him.

The offer-and-acceptance (nothing to do with Contracts One here) of such money disheartens, sickens. Money from a man well-versed in putting a sympathetic disposition on, but working away, always and everywhere, to further the interests of Islam. In this case, he was on a turn-away-wrath mission. No doubt for his visit to Fort Hood he had ready thatliquid-brown-eyed deeply sincere I-understand-your-pain compassionate mien. Oh god, I can see it now.

Diyyah, with a touch of dawah and damage control, as Hugh described above.

It really is ALTERNATE UNIVERSE .
HOW?!! IS RIGHT,Hugh.

Hugh and Marisol,you're ABSOLUTELY RIGHT,
It's BLOOD MONEY.

It speaks of how little the military really knows the enemy....

Sigh.....they just don't get it. Still.

Madness, with my man Wellington.

Oh, God...

Sucking it up...

MacArthur had it right and paid the price before Truman.

Singlaub had it right and paid the price before Carter.

Pray God stir one more true warrior to stand...

And if not he, then thee

As you say, Hugh, nothing to do with contracts. This is a BRIBE or blood money. Corruption of this sort is SOP for many muslim societies. It is more than tolerated or ignored; it is expected and valued.
Thank God that they did not offer their very young children (often girls) as is done in countries like Pakistan. Of course they would never do that because they know that the girls might find themselves in a loving Christian or Jewish family who might teach them that girls have high value and potential.
. . . and I just KNOW that this same MB/ISNA minion had been GLOATING and CELEBRATING in private among his fellow head-bangers what Hasan had done.

Instead of all the PC madness, the infidel countries ought to emulate the Aussies whose PM read the riot act to green slimes. See http://publication.samachar.com/pub_article.php?id=6790357

G-d those Hood Army officers are stupid and gutless. They can't be any smarter than a Jack in the Box burger supervisor to fall for this shit.

I would have expected at least one to anonymously post the content of the Brotherhood's seminar and who was pushing it. But no, nothing. Bunch of Benjamin Arnolds.

It's madness, but not madness without reason.

Muslims are perceived to be an Ethnic People. That's why this is happening.

Were Muslims perceived to be whites, this would not be happening.

Madness explained.

Now there's a secondary madness to be explained -- why people in the still inchoate anti-Islam movement refuse to acknowledge the above.

Diyya --

In Saudi Arabia, when a person has been killed or caused to die by another, the prescribed blood money rates are as follows:

100,000 riyals if the victim is a Muslim man
50,000 riyals if a Muslim woman
50,000 riyals if a Christian man
25,000 riyals if a Christian woman
6,666 riyals if a Hindu man
3,333 riyals if a Hindu woman.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diyya#cite_note-cgijedda-6

Ugly, isn't it?

Did not even a single family of one of the Ft Hood victims perceive the nature of that money and refuse to accept it? Or did the military intervene to make sure they would accept it quietly so as not to make a stink? If incompetence is a court martial offense, then the commander of Ft. Hood should be so charged. In any case, he should be relieved of duty. And the families who have had the insult of diyya heaped on their injuries should raise their voices to holy hell. The case they can make is that the mere fact that diyya was offered constitutes proof that the murders carried an Islamic dimension that the Left is so keen to insist doesn't exist and by offering diyya payment ISNA is an accomplice to the murders. The court case should also be accompanied by legislation criminalizing the practice of diyya.

What we need here is another visit from George W. to Fort Hood, telling everyone just how wonderful and peaceful Islam is.

And profitable for relatives of murdered kaffirs :)

So exactly how much are the dead kaffirs worth in your estimation, George W.?

There is a possibility that the Ft Hood Commander has no idea about the credentials of Louay Safi. He may be acting solely upon the recommendation of a sub-ordinate or of a superior. It is true that a base commander has near absolute authority in running his command, because of that, efforts should be made to ascertain his name and email address then to forward information about Louay Safi to him, and see what happens.

Safi gave a check to families of the victims of the Major Hasan jihad killings.

Wonder if that implies accepting guilt of the shootings, or if he just pays off to silence the victims? The amount and the source would be most interesting to know.

It's scary how reluctant the army leadership is to acknowledge the nature of the enemy we're facing. Political Correctness and pressure from the 0 Administration probably keeps the top leadership from doing so, causing them in turn to banish any attempts from medium-level leadership to get the truth out. Doing so may be harmful to career opportunities as well.

Similar things are happening in the police force, here in Denmark as well.

Fire the bum.

Criminal negligence is bad enough.

But the crime in question is treason. This is a whole new category.

Treasonous Criminal Negligence

Firing is far too mild.

Encouraging fraternizing with the enemy while at war ?!?!?!?!?!?!

A whole new level of crap. I never heard of anything like this before.

This calls for court martial at the very nicey-nice least.

It's treason.

Here's the quote of interest, from Louay Safi:

"It is up to the Muslim leadership to assess the situation and weigh the circumstances as well as the capacity of the Muslim community before deciding the appropriate type of jihad. At one stage, Muslims may find that jihad, through persuasion or peaceful resistance, is the best and most effective method to achieve just peace."

Now, the Jawa entry cited earlier suggests (but does not say) that the quote is tied to the presence of an Islamic State. That may be Safi's path into the heart of American legitimacy.

Here's the original source of the quote. I hope that someone at JihadWatch will review this:

Will this be OK with the CinC?

The words "Dhimmi" and "Dummy" are strangely similiar. Just a strange coincidence, I'm sure.

as is 'eid' and 'die'

Safi gave a check to families of the victims of the Major Hasan jihad killings.

Is Safi independently wealthy? If so, why is he working training US army troops? If he is not wealthy, where did he get the money for the checks? How much were those checks anyway $5.00 American would be an insult.
I wonder why the surviving families didn't crumple those checks and throw them back at him...PC runs deep, Ft Hood is not clear of it yet...

This guy, the commander, must be Gen Casey's brother.
In ideology if not by blood.

"One more unbelievable thing. How can this be?"

That's what I think everyday.

Nothing must stand in the way of our military's ultimate goal. Jihadist Imams teaching dhimmitude to pregnant single mother soldiers of all races.

This doesn't seem to be any form of blood money, Mr. Fitzgerald, as ISNA does not bear any legal or moral responsibility for the actions of Maj. Hassan. Nor am I aware that they have called for the killer to go unpunished. I donated to their Fort Hood Family Fund, as by all appearances, they wanted to offer genuine assistance to the relatives of those killed, and to show their appreciation for our military.

By the way, how much money has Jihad Watch raised to assist the families of the victims?

'I donated to their Fort Hood Family Fund'

So far as your donation to ISNA's fund for US military is concerned, are you sure the money will go where they say it will go?
Your money will probably end up funding some jihadist attack which will kill muslim and infidel victims somewhere.

JW does enough by educating people to the destructive tendencies of ISNA vis-a-vis western civilisation.

What likely happened is this. Various Muslims have been calculating what public relations effort they should make, how cleverly they can smooth things over. They hit upon this; Louay Safi would contact the miliitary, and ask sweetly and sadly, if he might, as a representative of "America's Muslim community," travel to Fort Hood, and "personally express the sorrow of that community" and "offer a small token" (words to that effect) to the "families" of the "people killed" on "that terrible day."

What could the American military do? At that point, if they had said "no, it would not be appropriate" then someoone could rightly foresee that Louay Safi, and all of his "sorrowful" Muslims who had so carefully and cunningly calculated their strategy, would seem to be turning away "America's Muslim community" with its "expression of" (compassion, sympathy, grief, chose any one of those utterly, in this case, phony nouns). They probably worried that if they turned him down, he would go public, and not just his group, but all the others that work together or together separately -- including CAIR -- would mournfully appear on talk shows, asking why, why, could they not, as
"fellow Americans" and "loyal Americans" (which means: they don't break the obvious laws, about jaywalking and filing tax returns (though there's plenty of tax fiddling, in those "cash only" Arab-owned gas stations and convenience stores) , even as they work, in a larger and much more dangerous way, to slowly undo the political and legal institutions that underlie everything, and that are flatly contradicted by the letter and spirit of the Shari'a, come to Fort Hood, and express his "sorrow" and that of the "American Muslim community."

The Commandant may not even have known -- let's find out -- that Louay Safi came with his little gifts (checks? money order? PayPal accounts replenished? Oh, blood money can come in so many different forms these days). He might have addressed the group, and then, before anyone knew what was happening, offered his phony little financial "expression of our sorrow."

Let's find out exactly how it happened, how cleverly Louay Safi and those who planned this with him operated, how they calculated every step.

What should the army have done? It should have said: No, it would not be appropriate "at this time" while investigations are going on, for anyone to visit Fort Hood. In other words, turn Louay Safi and his -- what should have been obvious -- p.r. stunt down, perhaps suggesting that the military would be grateful if Louay Safi's group, and other Muslims, forthrightly denounced the concept of "Jihad" -- now that would have been something, wouldn't it? Turn the p.r. tables on them, and ask them to do exactly what they cannot, as Muslims, do, but that most everyone, ignorant of Islam, thinks they should have no trouble doing, if they are not those "violent extremists" that Obama and Gates and everyone and his brother keep talking about.

The Muslim p.r. effort is clever, but the Western world is full of people who are cleverer, and it is only a question of asking the right people to help (think of the talent -- the refugees from Eastern Europe and Russia - who helped during the Cold War). But so far they are not being asked.

Ande what is worse, the Baby-Huey tromp-tromp-tromp of a gigantic military, sent here and sent there on misdirected missions, on a Fool's Errand that is intended to build up not one, not two, but three Muslim armies (those of Iraq, of Afghanistan, of Pakistan), and to make these countries better places thanks to tens or hundreds of billions of dollars in American (Infidel) aid, because we think there is a discrete enemy (Al Qaeda, or "the Taliban"), of "violent extremists" or "violent extremist Jihadists" (the words are piled-on, in the hope that with all the words, the absence of sense will not be noticed),

Is there, anywhere in the vastnesses of the Pentagon, an office of War Propaganda, designed to foil and checkmate the enemy. What is that enemy? I'd define that enemy as follows: all those who believe in Jihad (the struggle to remove all obstacles to the spread, and then the dominance, of Islam, everywhere in the world, by whatever means prove most effective).

A little intelligence, plesse. It would go a long way. It could even have saved this country, in the last few years, oh, round about three trillion dollars. Why, that could pay for a lot of health care, education, road and bridge repair, solar and wind plant subsidies, nuclear plants. We'd all feel a lot better. We'd like to see some low cunning in high places. And then, with all that money not sent to build up Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, or any other Muslim state or society, we could concentrate on making common cause with those who are awakening in Europe, and trying to prevent, as best they can, the islamization of the historic heart of the West, without which America would not and can not exist.

And at home, we could all calm down, and many more be friends...with benefits.

"friends... with benefits" is probably not meant to be a celebration of informal sex. but maybe i misunderstand.

i hope people look into safi's book. might be a treasure trove or might seem plausible.

Safi is "really nice"? The same was said of Hitler as a dinner. He was quite charming.

FIRE THEM ALL!

Fairusfan...'I donated to their Fort Hood Family Fund'...

Care to say how much...or is that too embarrassing?

Safi is a gadabout serving on boards of this and that (Association of Muslim Social Scientists, for instance,
(AMSS, Amiss?) with John Esposito) but should be remembered as "research director" for the IIT (International Institute for Islamic Thought) at the time of 9/11, the IIT a part of the SAAR Foundation network located at the same 555 Grove Street address, the SAAR network of Al Qaeda finance and support from Saudi Arabia.

"Diyya --

In Saudi Arabia, when a person has been killed or caused to die by another, the prescribed blood money rates are as follows:

100,000 riyals if the victim is a Muslim man
50,000 riyals if a Muslim woman

25,000 riyals if a Christian woman
6,666 riyals if a Hindu man
3,333 riyals if a Hindu woman."

So at current exchange rates, he should have given $13,333.33 for each Christian man, and $6,666.66 for each Christian woman. I wonder what a Jew is worth. Or an athiest.

I used the term "friends...with benefits" here being fully aware of its traditional (!) meaning (which I also relied on readers knowing) and in a new, more innocent sense. That's what's called having your cake and eating it too -- as Marie Antoinette meant to say, before she was cut off.

Some one with good information needs to make the case that the left is conplicit in this terrorist act by Hasan due to obstruction of justice, conspiracy, coverup, and payments to the victims. The RICO laws should also apply. These are Al Capone tactics.

The enemy of our freedom is the ideology and the actions of islam. Why does the fact that islam is supposed to be a "religion" excuse it from being dealt with for what it is? Too bad for Nazi Germany that Hitler didn't catch on to the whole "religion" angle. I don't think the world at time in history would have fallen for it anyway. We had more courage in dealing with evil then. Islam, not just "radical" islam should be banned from the United States of America. It is an ideolgy that seeks to destroy our nation. How many more Americans will have to die before we wake up?

Will we wake up?

It speaks of how little the military really knows the enemy....

The problem is not how little the military knows its enemy, but that it must not tell who the enemy is. And how can it do so if its leadership, its Commander-in-chief, its country's president and his administration orders the military to believe that the enemy is not the enemy?

The future of your country has been hijacked by the cast of traitors, opportunists and criminal imbeciles who have invested their entire political, ideological and material fortune in the project of dismantling the USA. Identifying Islam as America’s enemy would be detrimental to that project.

As long as this treasonous pack is leading the US the military is powerless.

Swami,

Why do you think he, at all, did donate money? Because he says so?

Please, remember that his cult leader, muhammed-the-liar, instructs him that war is deceit. As a good muhammedan he is in a state of perpetual war with us and under constant religious obligation to lie to the enemies of allah.
Oh yes, he will occasionally tell an inconsequential, unimportant truth, but only so it may give him more credibility next time when he peddles an important lie.

Some Saudi bastard came to NY after 9/11 and offered money to NY.

Giulliani told him to go stuff it.

New Yorkers cheered and loved Giuliani for it.

And while I'm on the subject I am, and I expect most normal Americans are, sick of expressions of "sympathy" -- especially "sympathy" over "tragedy".

This wasn't a car crash or a tornado.

What I want to see is animus toward the perpetrators and the ideology that motivates them.

I want to see them forcefully condemned and convincingly discredited.

I'd much rather see the allegedly "sad" and "sympathetic" mohammedans in a lather of rage against the people who do this stuff in the name of Islam.

The mohammedan communities of the world have proven their capacity for producing great lathers of rage on short notice. But somehow, we only ever get these soft sweet sounding expressions of "sympathy". We never get a hurricane of anger in our defense or on our behalf.

Expressions of sympathy from your proven friends is nice.

Expressions of sympathy from your enemies is grotesque, and an affront.

Aside from the usual avoidance of the crucial racial dimension, I notice among all the commenters above a curious ignoring of the more active role Louay Safi is obviously at the behest of the US military playing -- viz., "at Fort Hood this week training the army brigade getting ready to deploy to Afghanistan" -- and instead a fixation on the voluntary money donations that are attending that more active role.

This ignoring of the one and fixation on the other takes on even more curious proportions when Hugh weighs in, assessing the US Military's state of mind in allowing this to happen. Hugh's conjecture of what "likely happened" fails completely to factor in the active role Safi is, according to Spencer's report, playing. Thus Hugh's conjecture makes sense. It makes far less sense that the US Military would go beyond permitting Safi to come to Ft. Hood to express his regret and pass out checks -- to actually, as Spencer's report says "training the army brigade getting ready to deploy to Afghanistan".

That's where conjectures lead one when one ignores the crucial racial dimension. I.e., most members of the US Military -- just as most members of all Western Militaries, just as most members of all Western news media organizations, just as most members of all Western political parties, just as most members of all Western businesses, Academe, Churches, Synagogues, social and cultural societies -- really believe that Muslims are an Ethnic People (or collection of Ethnic Peoples) and that thus -- the crucial thus -- they deserve, and we as white Westerners are obliged to extend to them, extraordinary deference, respect and privileges.

While there exists here that other closely related dimension Hugh mentions -- They probably worried that if they turned him down, he would go public, and not just his group, but all the others that work together or together separately -- including CAIR -- would mournfully appear on talk shows, asking why, why, could they not, as "fellow Americans" and "loyal Americans" ...come to Fort Hood, and express his "sorrow" and that of the "American Muslim community." -- this by itself would not be able to exert sufficient traction were the crucial racial dimension of PC MC not already present inside the hearts and minds of most in the US Military (as throughout the West in general) exerting its complementary pull.

Were Islam perceived to be composed of white Westerners, no representative of Islam would be at Fort Hood "training the army brigade getting ready to deploy to Afghanistan" after a fellow member had massacred American military personnel. And a good deal of other nonsense we have seen over the years would also not be happening.

'I donated to their Fort Hood Family Fund'

fairuzfan,

Could you give me that URL, please? I've searched, and I can't find an ISNA Fort Hood Family Fund. The closest thing I got was a "USA Cares Fort Hood Emergency Family Fund".

There was FBI involvement in this! FBI met with Safi and presumeably approved his course of action. Why not a superficial meeting --the FBI is long compromised, infiltration into its ranks started before 9/11 & continue unabated.

Remember how quick a spokesman (FBI) told the press after the mass murders, that it was not a terrorist action nor a hate crime???

I agree completely that the victims' families should refuse the jihadist's money. But let's not blame those who accept--I have no doubt that they may well be afraid not to. Their dhimmified commanders have most likely persuaded them, and they know that to refuse would get them on a certain list, and subject to more "sensitivity training" , etc. Keep your powder dry.

Mister, you are naive..........or are you...?

Actually, re support for the Fort Hood families: might be worthwhile to wait a bit and then, here at jihadwatch, pass round the hat to sponsor the provision of a Gift Pack for each family who had a loved one killed or wounded; said Gift Pack to comprise, say, Mr Spencer's "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Crusades", "The Truth About Muhammad" and "Onward Muslim Soldiers", together with Nonie Darwish's book on Sharia, 'Cruel and Usual Punishment', each book personally signed by its author and inscribed with a message of sympathy.

Maybe the Fort Hood Christian and Jewish chaplains could be sent such a gift pack, also, together with Mark Durie's book that nicely - and briefly! and in plain non-technical language - sets out the differences between Islam's god and the God who appears in the Hebrew and Christian scriptures.

If someone you love is killed, it does help to know *why*, and in this case - unlike when someone is killed by a stupid random car accident or getting in the path of a common-or-garden psycho - there *is* a 'why': the soldiers at Fort Hood were bushwhacked by a Fifth Columnist. And then, maybe, if informed about the source of the clearly-proclaimed motives of said Fifth Columnist, the families can get mad and exert some pressure to get a ban placed on further recruitment of Muslims, as being just too damn risky.

One of the soldiers who was killed - a young gentleman of Lao parentage, whose immigrant dad once fought alongside the Yanks against the Viet Cong - has a brother fighting in Afghanistan. If the father is sent a helpful book that explains the mindset and modus operandi of the enemy, then that information may get passed on and save the life of the surviving son and his mates in the field.

It looks like the "healing process" may do more damage than the attack itself.

Hi Robert.

I was recently reading your rebuttals to Louay Safi and it got me thinking that for your next book you should compile all of your rebuttals and everyone elses rebuttals who you know and make a huge symposium-like book out of it. This would help westerner understand the lies they try to use.

Just a thought. Tell me what you think.

Wikipedia;Louay M. Safi: Criticism and Praise

Robert Spencer complained in a recent posting on his Jihadwatch blog about Safi's visit to Fort Hood to speak to soldiers on the subject of Islam and for giving "a check to families of the victims of the Major Hasan jihad killings.".[14] Spencer disagreed with The Fort Hood leadership whom, he says, "was overheard commenting that Safi was 'really nice.'" He accused Louay Safi, who serve with the Islamic Society of North America as executive director, of working with an organization linked to the Muslim Brotherhood.[15] Spencer is a controversial author and blogger who has been accused of hatemongering against Islam. Karen Armstrong, for one, wrote in her review of Spencer's books that he writes in hatred. On his methods, she wrote: he deliberately manipulates the evidence to support his thesis.[16]

Karen Armstrong is pathetic..
