Activists from Hamas, the Palestinian group, have been helping British lawyers bring war crimes prosecutions against Israeli officials in London.The group, considered a terrorist organisation in Britain, is believed to have provided information which helped sympathisers secure an arrest warrant against Tzipi Livni, Israel's former Foreign Minister at Westminster Magistrates Court earlier this month.
Mrs Livni, who was a cabinet minister during last year's Israeli military offensive in Gaza, was forced to cancel a trip to London last week.
A major diplomatic incident was averted only after Mrs Livni, who is now Israel's opposition leader, was alerted to the warrant and pulled out of a speaking engagement at the last minute.
It has now emerged that a committee set up by the Hamas government was providing information to help pro-Palestinian lawyers investigating alleged war crimes.
Diya al-Madhun, the judge who heads the committee, said: "We provide documents, reports and evidence of crimes to all international bodies aiding the Palestinian people in bringing Israeli civilian and military leaders to trial and issuing warrants for their arrest.
"We have provided a group of independent lawyers in Britain with documents, information and evidence concerning war crimes committed by Israeli political and military leaders, including Livni."
He added however that the foreign lawyers acted independently and were not hired by the Islamist Palestinian group.
Hamas is considered a terrorist organisation by Britain, Israel, the US and the EU, but it is seen by its supporters as a legitimate resistance movement....

Britain has become an Islamist nation. I don't hold much hope for her future.
Assuming Israel has sent a defensive set of reports to British lawyers, do you suppose they will believe the Israeli stance? I doubt it. UK is increasingly anti-semitic.

No doubt many, in Great Britain and in the rest of the imperiled Western world, would like to know more about those lawyers collaborating with Hamas, in an attempt to make life as difficult as possible for Israelis and for the government(s) of Israel. One would like to know not only who those lawyers are but also the firms they work for or with, in order, at the very least, to make sure that any conceivable business, of any kind, is directed away from them, or from firms that might employ them. Appeals to morality will not have any effect. Economic consequences might.
And of course the Middle Eastern press took full advantage of this incident. Last week, the Turkish newspaper, Zaman, came up with a headline to the effect that "Britain issues arrest warrant for Livni for war crimes" -- giving the impression that the British government acted on its own initiative to go after a notorious war criminal.

The only use I can see for a modern navy now is the "boomer" submarines loaded to the gills with MIRV ICBMs -- as a retaliatory weapon. Doing that would require, however, that Prez Dubya's regrettable performance when he responded to 9/11 by prostrating himself on a prayer rug in the big mosque down the street from the White House not be repeated. A considerable number of law firms in Britain are Asian and Muslim whose expertise seems to lie in pursuing Muslim claims against their employers for large sums as compensation for hurt feelings and other perceived anti-Islamic practices. However using the law in this latest attempt in attacking Israel has revealed a weakness in which a group or individual can bring an unproven charge to court, obtain a warrant for their arrest and lie in wait for the unsuspecting foreign politician to arrive in the country. The UK government are embarrassed over the issue and were quick to have the warrant withdrawn. Had we adopted similar tactics perhaps we could have used the law to arrest Muslim clerics who have come into the country to preach hate and jihad which is against the law.
I can confirm the what Alarmed Pig Farmer says about a Muslim being appointed a Rear Admiral in the Nelson's navy is true. Amjad Hussain's last posting was as naval base commander at Portsmouth. From August 2006 he became head of defence logistics in Bath. Hussain's previous naval experience seems to be surprisingly sparse. He served in fishing protection vessels and was a weapons officer on an aircraft carrier. He doesn't seem to have commanded a vessel of any type which must provoke the accusation that Hussain was selected for the Rear Admiral posting solely on him being a Muslim and has nothing to do with his suitability for the job. In other words a political posting which further promotes racial and ethnic distrust and hatred in the country.

Agreed and the problem is most of them are faceless but it is not just screwing the kuffur financially.
Not too long ago the Daily Mail highlighted the fact that the muslim woman defending most jihadi's came to Britain as a refugee from Uganda in the 1970's. She had got £500,000(?) in fees from the taxpayers to keep them out of jail and in Britain. This caused "the muslim community" to cry "isalmophobia!" as usual.
I have often asked myself who the lawyers were who won asylum status for the Somali criminal Yusuf Jama who killed PC Sharon Beshenivsky and what we paid them for enriching us with his presence. Also if they were the same ones who got him bail on firearms charges if they could be accessories to her murder.
