Indiana: Second graders in public school sing "Allah is God, we recall at dawn, praying 'til night during Ramadan"

And "I didn't know there was a little boy at the manger. What child is this? I'm not sure if there was a little boy or not." But if you complain, you're a greasy Islamophobe!

"Second Graders Sing About Allah?," by Todd Starnes for Fox News, December 14 (thanks to Alastair):

A battle over religion is brewing in central Indiana after a public school wanted second graders to sing a song declaring, "Allah is God." The phrase was removed just before the performance after a national conservative group launched a protest.

The principal of Lantern Road Elementary School in Fishers, IN, said they were trying to teach inclusiveness through their holiday production. It included references to Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Las Posadas and Kwanzaa. However, no other deity, other than Allah, was referenced in the show.

"It went off...without a hitch," Danielle Thompson told the Indianapolis Star. "Several families thought it was a nice program."

But others did not - especially David Hogan. His daughter came home with a copy of the lyrics just days before the production. Hogan, a Christian, told the American Family Association, a conservative advocacy group, that he was deeply concerned to learn that his daughter had been singing, "Allah is God."

Here's what the children were assigned to sing:

"Allah is God, we recall at dawn,
Praying 'til night during Ramadan
At this joyful time we pray happiness for you,
Allah be with you all your life through."

But when it came time to perform the "Christian" part of Christmas, children were assigned to say:

"I didn't know there was a little boy at the manger. What child is this?
I'm not sure if there was a little boy or not.
Then why did you paint one on your nativity window?
I just thought if there was a little boy, I'd like to know exactly what he (sic) say.

Micah Clark, executive director of the Indiana AFA, launched an Internet protest once he heard about the allegations. "What surprised me here is that we've had a secular scrubbing of Christmas for so long and the school apparently didn't see the problem with kids singing to Allah," he told FOX News Radio. "You won't even mention Jesus and you're going to force my child to sing about Allah?

In email correspondence the school initially defended the reference as a way to be inclusive of all religions. However, once complaints starting rolling in, school leaders decided to eliminate the Allah reference.

That drew the ire of the Muslim Alliance of Indiana. "It's unfortunate if that was removed from the program just because of Islamophobic feelings," Shariq Siddiqui told the Indianapolis Star. "Schools are a place where we should learn more about each other rather than exclude each other based on stereotypes and misconceptions."

But Clark said having children bow and pray is problematic for non-Muslim families. "(This show) affirmed Islam and negated Christianity. I wouldn't have had a problem if it had been equal to all faiths."

But some were content to play the dhimmi:

At least one Christian family approved of the Allah reference. "I'm a Christian and I was in no way offended by the program at Lantern Road," said Judy Grasso to The Star.

I am so glad some Americans are fighting back.
We should see more of these non-dhimmi protests.

Nope, nope, nope, this oughtn't be allowed in the schools at all. It's representatives of the state pushing Islam, nothing more, and is just as sneaky and underhanded and needs to be stopped as surely as the infiltration of creationism into science classes.

Learning about world religions is one thing; however, this is way over the top, to my eyes. Look at the difference in the way Islam and Christianity were handled - a direct Islalmic prayer to Allah, while one even questions the existence of the "little boy" in the trough - so much for Christmas, eh?

for the record, I always wish people a Merry Christmas - and where I'm at, they do the same, I'm finding. And while separation of church and state must always be strictly preserved, there's room for stuff about Jesus as well as Santa and ancient European Pagan soltice festivals in Christmas celebrations (it's where the fancy tree came from, after all) - these are the elements that ought to be taught (the origins of Santa are Christian too, after all!) so as to teach why Christmas is so important, and has been for a very long time, and is an integral part of our Western culture. It is also appropriate to learn how this holiday is celebrated in the various countries and cultures that observe it. Same goes for Easter/Passover/Beltane (Easter was the name of a Celtic fertility goddess, and is why the rabbits and the eggs). And yes, even Samhain/All Hallow's Eve/Halloween.

BUT

What the hell does anything in Islam have to do with Christmas? Or any of our other holidays, for that matter?

A couple of units examining the histories and celebrations of other cultures and religions is fine, but it certainly does not need to include actual praying.

I know that this is about a nonsensical ditty praising the imaginary alter-ego of the Arabian Peninsula's most revered pedophile and mass-murderer ever, but why don't the schools get the kids to read up on what the adhan REALLY means instead, not what mahoundians claim it says? Though they could figure its meaning out on their own by studying the endless list of failures that are inherent to the "sharia paradises" of Dar al-mahoundianism, the real meaning of that nonsense could go as something like this:

allah doesn't exist
allah doesn't exist

If there is a God, it sure isn't allah
If there is a God, it sure isn't allah

I bear witness that mahound was a coward, a murderer and a pedophile
I bear witness that mahound was a coward, a murderer and a pedophile

Make haste towards learning critical thinking
Make haste towards learning critical thinking

In mahoundianism there is no success
In mahoundianism there is no success

Sleep is better than pointless headbanging on the ground
Sleep is better than pointless headbanging on the ground

allah doesn't exist
allah doesn't exist

If there is a God, it sure isn't allah

That would sure be for those schoolchildren a much more interesting exercise in awareness of the superiority of Western values and civilization over, well... The piles and piles of dirt, garbage, the human-rights violations, the misogyny, the poverty, the illiteracy, the endless sectarian and tribal conflicts, the pedophilia, the self-hating and hypocritical inbred bedouin savage homophobia, the racism, the ignorance, the endless list of failures on every conceivable level that are endemic to the mahoundian world.

With all due respect to Micah Clark, executive director of the Indiana branch of the American Family Association (AFA), drawing any kind of equality between Christianity and Islam is itself an error, never mind Islam being raised above Christianity. Christianity is superior to Islam in every way. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, in Islam which trumps Christianity, not in the field of ethics, the Golden Rule, respecting a subtle interpretation of the cosmos, the intellectual architecture that buttreses each faith, each one's artistic heritage, the capacity to get along with those of other faiths, the overall theological blueprint of each religion and, probably most especially, the character of the founders of Christianity and Islam. In every category one can think of, Christianity is a superior religion to Islam.

Understand, I admire Mr. Clark for lodging the protest that he has but it is not conducive to the future well being of America and the West to ever proclaim that Christianity and Islam should be held in equal regard or anything like this. One is a great and noble religion and the other is simply a major religion which lacks greatness and nobility.

Lantern Road Elementary can be reached at (317) 594-4140. Make sure to ask why they're teaching kids to "kill any Jew [who happens to be a pig or monkey] who comes under your power" and why they're teaching that girls shouldn't be in school, but rather, should have been pimped into incestuous, pedophilic sex slavery at 6 and should be getting raped by a 53-year-old, mass-murdering uncle right about now. Because approval of Allah requires wholehearted belief in both of those things.

"teach inclusiveness"

No, schools should be teaching reading and writing, and history, and mathematics, and possibly even, if they are run by the right kind of school-marms (male and female), such seemingly anachronistic subjects as geography and penmanship. They shouldn't teach, in any case, as part of their program, an ill-defined and badly-understood "inclusiveness."

As far as programmatic propagandistic "inclusiveness" goes, the only proper response is: Count Me Out.

Philippians 2:9-11 (King James Version)

9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Saying "Allah is God" is NOT unintentional. It is a direct affront to Christian beliefs.

Wellington

Very well said and totally correct.

Here's what the school should've written for the Christian part of the song....

Jesus is God, and He's the reason,
For this wonderful Christmas season!
At this joyful time we pray happiness for you,
Jesus, be with you all your life through!

And then for the Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, pagan, and atheist/agnostic portions, simply replace "Jesus" with "Yahweh", "Buddha", "Krishna", "Saturn", and "No one". And replace "Christmas" with "Hanakkah", "Rohatsu", "Diwali", "Saturnalia", and "holiday". Respectively, of course.

And voila....everyone happy, yah?

To Shariq Siddiqui --- would you be happy with Muslim children at this school singing all the above? And if not, does that betray YOUR inner Christianophobia, anti-Semitism, Buddhaphobia, Hinduphobia, paganophobia, and anti-atheism?

Me --- they shouldn't even try to sing/write these songs in schools.

.......... and, of course, the three wise men were following the crescent moon towards Mecca when............

from the new MC PC Winter Holiday stories.

Indeed.

Inclusiveness of WHAT, exactly?

Why should a culture/religion that has NOTHING to do with, say, Christmas be included at all?

And how can one "include" obviously contradictory things (ie, if one wishes to "include" homosexuality as part of our society, how can we then "include" a hard-line belief system that atates homosexuals be exterminated? How can creationism be "included" in a science class when the best evidence refutes it? How can equality between sexes be included alongside a sharia system that excludes that idea?)

The purpose of immigration and such was that newcomers should include themselves into society, not that that society should include the ways and thought patterns whence the immigrants came.

And trying to make people believe in many contradictory things at once only leads to madness in the thinking brain.

Sorry, but the reality is, that not everything can be "included" into a stable society, and it's something the PC/MCs are going to have to grow up and deal with.

What better message for children than to say that:
Rape
Child Rape and Child Molestation
Murder
Torture
Theft
Robbery
Slavery
Sex Slavery
Amputation
Wife Beating
...and almost every other felony is not only allowed, but condoned or required, according to islam, as written in the koran.

Message to school administration, have the kids do the following crossword puzzles, word searches, and quizzes if they really want to learn about islam: Crazy Islam

I posted this way earlier on the "Knoxville Muslims" thread - so, what happened to "thanks to darcy?"

Related story from Boston TV 5:

"Second-Grader Suspended For Drawing Jesus"

http://www.thebostonchannel.com/news/21971287/detail.html

"The student drew the picture shortly after taking a family trip to see the Christmas display at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, a Christian retreat site in Attleboro. He made the drawing in class after his teacher asked the children to sketch something that reminded them of Christmas, the father said."

"Allah is God, we recall at dawn,
Praying 'til night during Ramadan
At this joyful time we pray happiness for you,
Allah be with you all your life through."
....................

Appalling–apparently these idiots have no idea what having "Allah" with you means for Infidels.

It may be poorly written, but notice how strong and assured the passage about Islam is. Followed by this positively illiterate bit about Christianity:

"I didn't know there was a little boy at the manger. What child is this?
I'm not sure if there was a little boy or not.
Then why did you paint one on your nativity window?
I just thought if there was a little boy, I'd like to know exactly what he (sic) say.
....................

This passage is incredibly illiterate and weak, and—after asserting that "Allah is God" questions whether there was any sort of child (not named, notice) at the manger at all.

It appallingly misuses the line "What child is this?"—intended in the original hymn to invoke wonder at the virgin birth and incarnation of the word-to cast doubt on whether there was *any* sort of child present at all, and then to castigate Christians for "painting one on [their] nativity window", when Jesus' very existence is here held in doubt.

This passage doesn't represent the "Christian part of Christmas" so much as it closely adheres to the Muslim line of considering Christians in error in "associating partners with Allah".

I agree with Wellington that the protests to this school event were weak—but I'm glad, in this atmosphere, that they were made at all.

This is a definite cause for concern for me. I grew up not a mile away from that school. The stealth-jihad seems to have writhed it's disgusting tentacles into my home town. I shouldn't be surprised. Once the local mosque (the Al-Huda Foundation) arrived we've had quite the influx of muslims. If the local schools are going to force kids to sing about allah being god, while denying the Christ-child, I'm not so sure I want to send my kids to Hamilton Southeastern schools. That's really too bad, because I feel I got a fine education in that system. Damn muslims had to go and screw it all up. This is a sad day for this town.

It is one thing for adults to have moral equivilence and double standards rammed down their throats but our children, come on! And as for the Christian lady who was not affended, can somebody get her signed up for JW today?
I don't know about the rest of you but this is where I will draw a line in the sand.

It [don't] rhyme,man.

Some people try to be inclusive by claiming to like and tolerate everything. You ask someone what kind of music they
like and the reply is,"I like all kinds of music."To which I
say to him/her,"You can't like all kinds of music, just like
you prefer one soft drink or beer over another."
Anyone who says that they like all kinds of music more than likely has two albums in their collection. The Beatles Bob Marley and maybe "Feeling hot hot."

Why don't we just eliminate all religions in public schools and in public places. They are not places for that. I am a staunch believer in the separation of church and state.

We put our kids in public schools to learn about reading, writing, arithmetic. Not Allah, Muhammed, Jesus, Joseph, and Mary. There are places for that. They are called churches, mosques, synagogues. We have Islamic academies, Christian academies, and Jewish academies. Save it for that!!!

We teach them to write a sentence, to read a book, and to add 2+2, not Ramadan, Hanakkah, or Christmas. I myself, could give a damn about any of these holidays.

Why don't we just take down all religious displays on courthouse lawns, schools (if any), and in town squares. That way the athiests will shutup, the christians do not have to be offended, and the muslims will have no bases for their incessant grievances about not having their religion or holidays honored. Problem solved.

"It's unfortunate if that was removed from the program just because of Islamophobic feelings," Shariq Siddiqui told the Indianapolis Star. "Schools are a place where we should learn more about each other rather than exclude each other based on stereotypes and misconceptions."

Put a hijab in it Shariq. You muslims have been tolerated long enough. You already have at an Oakland Elementary school in California, 3rd graders taking a 3 wk course in Islam. Taking Islamic names, praying to Allah, reading the Koran, and making a mock pilgrimage to Mecca. And the 9th Circuit Court there and the Supreme Court stayed on the side of the school and called it "being tolerant of other faiths." The parents of that school lost. You have at Harvard, muslim women having their own gym time, where men cannot enter. You have in San Diego, an elementary school there who allowed a mosque to be put on its property, going against church and state for 100 somali students.

No bibles allowed, no praying allowed for christians, or singing Away in a Manger, which it should be that way. Remember, not everyone believes in a god. We do have athiests and agnostics in our schools.

We have bent over backwards to allow Islam in public schools and have afforded accomodations to muslim students that is not adhered to other students of other faiths (or of no faith for that matter). Case in point, the Hertz car company, allowing its Muslim employees to take unscheduled breaks for praying.

The first admendment clearly states freedom of religion, but it also says that the government of the United States shall not endorse a religion. Shall not hinge on the freedom to assemble peacefully, shall not hinder free speech, and shall not fringe on the rights of the citizens to file grievances against the government. The ACLU, the 9th Circuit Court in California, and the Supreme Court should read over and over the first admendment until they understand it.

Our public schools who teach American Government and History,(when they are not busy ramming allah down our kids'throats),should read this admendment again and memorize it. The government should know this admendment that is in the constitution that they make a pledge to uphold.

The athiests and the ACLU are silent. Why?

Hey Shariq,

"Schools are a place where we should learn more about each other rather than exclude each other based on stereotypes and misconceptions."

How about schools should be a place where we learn about George Washington, William Shakespeare, Mark Twain, Abe Lincoln and not about false gods such as allah. False prophets such as Muhammed and a man who was not even born on Christmas.

Hey Shariq, how would you like your children singing praises to Jehovah, Yahweh, or Jesus Christ? Would you be singing a different tune?

It is not about stereotypes or misconceptions, but leaving religion where it needs to be, in the home, or in the proper house of worship. And if I am islamaphobe for that, I do not give a damn.

Let us stop ramming down our kids throats about any kind of religion in schools, and restore their self-diginity to go out in this world being what they want. Let them be free to choose and use their young minds to become the next generations of doctors, lawyers, and teachers.

Stop infecting our little ones in our public schools with any kind of religion, religion is poisoning their young minds. Let us save them from this abuse.

Blessed are the idiots, for even they can be forgiven.

P.S.- At least Lantern Road Elementary School in Fishers, IN removed the allah reference, but only when more complaints started rushing in like flood waters, this should not have to be.

Its the same kind of BS we saw not long ago when children were singing about the joker in the white house obama. If teachers spent more time teaching children the three R's, Reading, Writing and Arithmetic rather then trying to indoctrinate them into thinking Obama is the coming messiah and that Islam is is the greatest things since Mom's apple pie, perhaps our children would learn a little more. But then thats too much to hope for. Many of the teachers that now are preaching this BS, were probably given there jobs just because of their skin color. Afirmative action at its worst.
