Iranian media says US fighter jets attack Yemeni Shi'ites

It is unlikely that American pilots, using American planes, are bombing in Yemen, especially since the bombing has apparently been so indiscriminate. But the Iranians would like to drag in the Americans and they are not alone. Qatari-based Al Jazeera tries in its headlines to similarly focus attention on "U.S. war planes" when, as everyne knows, the Saudi Air Force consists largley uf "U.S. war planes" -- what else could they have? Saudi planes?

Considering the source of this report, one must regard it as doubtful. On the other hand, King Abdullah has but to command, and his loyal servant Barak will obey.

The US has been involved in that futile enterprise, attempting to train a Muslim army—Yemen, in this case.

But the direct attacks sound entirely unsubstantiated—it is only Houthi Jihadists who make the claim that US fighter jets have been directly attacking them.

The US barely notes "the brand" of Islamists, in most cases——here Iran is implying that Americans are directly targeting Shi'ites—which seems damned unlikely to me, but is sure to further inflame the oh-so-imflammable Iranians, to ever louder calls for "Death to America".

The Saudis fly U.S. built F-15 aircraft. It's impossible to make out roundells (Nationality markings) on aircraft flying 600 MPH.

I used to work on Air Force training ranges and the Saudis would exercise with us on occasion. There is a slight difference in the shade of paint on the Saudi airplanes but even that would be difficult to pick out on an airplane flying at combat speed.

The Saudis have been conducting airstrikes against the Yemeni Houthis for the past four months using aircraft purchased on very attractive terms from the US.

These "attacks by US airplanes" is nothing more than an attempt to shift the blame for an internecine conflict onto the US in order to rouse enmity against the US among the Arab "street." Of course the Arab on the street will slavishly follow these indoctrinations as he has been taught to do by the brainwashing memes of Islam.

The mullahs of Iran would be the obvious benefactors of this agitprop characterizing the US as an agressor against Islam. The Houthis also might benefit by getting non-Yemeni Muslim public opinion behind their efforts to overthrow the government of Yemen.

In the end, nothing will come of these gross lies. The vastly superior military forces of the Saudis will prevail against the Houthis, who after all are considered heretics.

You can move along now. Nothing to see here. Just Muslims killing Muslims, continuing a tradition started about 10 minutes after the death of Muhammed.

Those ungrateful Jihadis, they should be elated that we are going to send to them Allahland for eternity and all for free mind you.

Is it really news that U.S. has sold jet fighters to Saudi Arabia? This has been going on for decades.

I would not put it past the Iranians doing the bombing. Next they will say the Jews did it.

Just for the record I would love it if our boys got a little training in. It never hurts. Remember the Russians did it in Korea. And possibly Viet Nam.

I am surprized they are not blaming the JEWS....let's see...which Muslims nations have purchased or acquired US jets?...Saudi Arabia?, Egypt? Qatar? Jordan?, Syria? Pakistan? Afghanistan? Lebanon? ...Heck, maybe Yemen or Somalia have US jets in their inventory graciously donated by Saudia Arabia , Pakistan, or Egypt...

Maybe Yemen is attacking their own people with air power...they certainly have been attacking their own people on the ground with Muslim radical groups and Muslim mercenaries....

These whacky Muslims will try anything to keep the violence flowing...even killing their own people...and both attackers and victims cry out "Allllaaaahhh Akkkbaaar"....Islam...feel the love?.

Hopefully, our people are not involved in this, as we need to learn to get out of the Middle East, not more deeply mired in it.

But cannot help but chuckle how we seem to have such good relations with Saudi Arabia, while having poor ones with Iran. If we want to make human rights a litmus test for foreign policy prescriptions, which one of those two countries has legally established and functioning Christian churches, Jewish synagogues, and Zoroastrian temples, and which one does not?

I am very confused. Saudi Arabia can train and fund 19+ hijackers to kill innocent Americans on September 11, 2001 and export their brand of jihad throughout Africa, the Middle East, Kosovo, France and Britain, but cannot defend itself against Yemenis? I understand that Bush was owned by the Saudis and committed US Troops to get rid of Saddam Hussein, Saudi's number one enemy, but this status quo thing Obama is obssessed with is getting out of hand.

If Obama wants to change how people look at the US, then maybe we should evaluate our position with countries based on the old Monroe, Jeffersonian, Reagan approach- if your society is in line with US principles of democracy, equality and freedom, then you are our friend. If not, like Saudi, or if you attack us on our own soil like Saudi- we will invade. This way, the rest of the world will respect our country like leaders, not look upon us as a cheap oil whore.
