Tehran - Allegations that Iran is seeking to make atomic bombs 'make us ... just puke,' President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday.'These constant allegations against Iran have become an unfunny joke and make us and our nation just puke,' Ahmadinejad said in a speech in Shiraz in southern Iran.
'If we wanted to make an atomic bomb, then we would have been courageous enough to say that we were doing it,' the president said in the speech, carried live by the news network Khabar.
He added that Iran was engaged only in a peaceful nuclear programme and would not allow any country, 'neither the United States nor the US servants,' to interfere in Iran's internal affairs and deprive it of its legitimate nuclear rights.
'If they come up with documents [regarding secret Iranian military programmes], we do not even look at them, and if they make deadlines [for making concessions in the nuclear dispute], then we in return will make deadlines for them to correct their policies,' the president said.
Ahmadinejad was mainly referring to documents disclosed last week by the Times newspaper claiming Tehran was working on a four-year plan to make a nuclear bomb.
The president and the Foreign Ministry had rejected the report, saying the documents were fabricated....

Certainly it is an unsavory regime with regard to the poor human rights situation in Iran at present. But I fail to see how unsubstantiated claims and possible, apparent implications become the rightful prerogative of Jihad Watch as a result of this.
Perhaps JW can share with us the solid, irrefutable proof that Iran is pursuing nuclear weaponary, if that is indeed the claim here. And why the UN should have any more rightful involvement in this - if it were somehow true - than the situations with Pakistan, India, and Israel, that is, other than having Iran expelled from the NPT.
And I am unaware that the Iranian regime has committed any form of genocide since it came into existence over 30 years ago.
Of course, I'll expect the usual remove-Israel-from-existence comment to be the sole evidence offered in support of such spurious claims. Perhaps JW can explain how thousands of Iranian Jews, the largest contingent of Jews in the Islamic world, haven't been systemically carted off and killed in more than 30 years of Islamic theocratic rule, if the Iranian powers that be are so desperately genocidal.
Oh, and one other thing. How much does Iran spend on defense spending, both per capita and as a percentage of naitonal GNP, and how do such figures stack up to other countries in the region, most especially our 'friendly' little Zionist entity?

A Russian An Il-76 cargo plane carrying 35 tons of weaponry was seized during refueling at Bangkok's Don Muang airport on December 12.
