Iraqi Archbishop: A policy of "ethnic cleansing" against Christians under way in Mosul

"The situation is very tense. Just last week to Christian brothers were killed and two more were abducted. Where was the local government? And the Central government? Where are the representatives of the ruling parties?"

They're supporting it, of course.

"A policy of 'ethnic cleansing' against Christians under way in Mosul, Mgr Sako says," from AsiaNews, December 16 (thanks to C. Cantoni):

Kirkuk (AsiaNews) - A policy of "ethnic and religious cleansing" is underway in Mosul; in fact, it has worsened as Christmas approaches, Mgr Louis Sako told AsiaNews. For the archbishop of Kirkuk, this means that "security measures must be strengthened or the holiday season". Meanwhile, tensions and fear are palpable in the city, made worse by a new attack against two places of worship, killing one person and wounding 40 more. A Christian source, anonymous for security reasons, said that the "community is destined to die".

In the late morning, a car bomb exploded in front of the Church of the Annunciation in the al- Mohandiseen neighbourhood, damaging walls and windows. The attackers also threw grenades against the nearby Christian school, killing a baby girl and injuring 40 more people, including five high school kids. Saad Younes, father of the 8-day-old child, said that the blast occurred when his daughter and sister-in-law were leaving the nearby hospital.

A second attack targeted the Syro-Catholic Church of the Immaculate in al-Shifaa, a neighbourhood in northern Mosul. An explosive device went off in the street in front of the building's gate. No one was killed or injured.

Yesterday's attacks are the latest episodes in a series of violence against Christian places of worship. On 26 November, terrorists razed to the ground the Church of Saint Ephrem and the Mother House of the Dominican Sisters of Saint Catherine. A source told AsiaNews that most nuns left; only a few have remained but "are afraid of going out".

Such attacks are a "warning" for Christians to leave en masse. Many "families have fled north, into Kurdistan, but are jobless and have no hope for the future. The Christian community is destined to die," the source said.

Mgr Louis Sako shares this concern. For the archbishop of Kirkuk, "ethnic and religious cleansing" is underway in Mosul. The central government and parties are concerned only about the elections, scheduled for 7 March 2010, especially about "sharing the oil"....

"The situation is very tense," Mgr Sako said. "Just last week to Christian brothers were killed and two more were abducted. Where was the local government? And the Central government? Where are the representatives of the ruling parties?" the prelate asked....

This is how it works in Muslim communities. Any more questions as to why Rifqa isn't safe?

Don't forget that we were told by Bush that Islam was a tolerant religion of peace, and that we were on a Wilsonian project on the Middle East to help the Muslims throw off their oppressors. We were told that Muslims are essentially trapped by evil dictators who are forced upon them by wicked western trade policies. Bush told us that if we spilled our most valuable resource in Iraq, that naturally the Muslims there would create a western like social democracy, one that we could be peers with on the world stage. Instead what have we learned? Muslims will use democracy for genocide against non-Muslims, based upon the sharia norms that we let them base their government on. It seemed logical at the time, after all all religions are equal according to the American way, to say anything other than that would go against some of the fundamental things for which this nation was built upon.

I'm not saying all Muslims are evil, but the type of system they will create when they organize politically will be a regime based upon a totalitarian ideology, and therefore at its core evil. By giving Muslims democracy, we have given them western legitimacy to create their evil system of governance. This is what our sons and daughters die for, essentially the empowerment of hell on earth. That is the horrible truth.

The only war worth fighting in the Middle East at this point would be the establishment of a western backed and defended Christian state. The only way to prevent a Middle Eastern Christian genocide will be to arm them, and help them create an autonomous region of their own.

Yes, Ethoman. It's about time an independent state of Assyria was formed in northern Iraq. The disadvantage is that Christians will be immediately forced from Baghdad, Mosul and other cities, the same as Jews were expelled after Israel was formed. The advantage is that they will no longer have to be dhimmis in at least part of their native land. Armed and empowered by the US and Israel, they can worship freely and provide a refuge for the other persecuted Christians of Iraq. Similar states could be formed in other countries for Copts, Maronites, Kurds, southern Sudanese, Darfuris, Pandits, southern Nigerians, Berbers, and many more.

And in other news: Fairfield City Council, within Metropolitan Sydney, has voted (God bless them!) to *approve* the construction, within their jurisdiction, of a monument to memorialise the Assyrian Christians mass-murdered by Turkish and Arab Muslims in the early 20th century; and the local Turkish Muslims are *howling* and whining and declaring that the construction of this memorial will 'split' the 'community'.

Seems Muslims don't like being reminded of their forefathers' evil actions, and don't like the public naming of those actions as evil.

Tough bikkies, Muslims. Once the Assyrians have fully informed the Australian non-Muslim public about the facts of the 1300 years of hell on earth - dhimmitude - that Assyrian Christians have suffered under the boot of sadistic Turkish, Kurdish and Arab Muslim oppressors, you'll get exactly as much sympathy as neo-nazi holocaust deniers. Namely: NONE.

I am to the point where I am going to take this on myself and start blowing up their minarets and mosques.
I'm sorry but I've had enough of the bloodshed, and these Islamists don't care about killing Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Atheists, whomever doesn't go their way of thinking.
It it's fire they want...it's fire they'll get!
"Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword!"

I would refrain from such remarks. It only provides juicy quotes to Islamists, and accomplishes nothing.
