Muslims in Egypt hit Swiss minaret ban, force Copts to hide in fear for their lives

These two actions are completely consistent from the standpoint of these Egyptian Muslims. The consistency is that the spread and dominance of Islam should never be impeded in any way -- not by Infidels who (for the moment) have the upper hand in Switzerland, and not by Infidels in Egypt who have the temerity to get out of line and not accept their second-class status with equanimity.

"Egypt Forces Copts to Hide as Muslims Hit Swiss Minaret Ban," by Daniel Williams for Bloomberg, December 15 (thanks to Kisan):

Dec. 15 (Bloomberg) -- On a side street in the far northeast Cairo suburb of Ain Shams, the door of a five-story former underwear factory is padlocked.

This is, or was supposed to be, the St. Mary and Anba Abraam Coptic Christian Church. Police closed it Nov. 24, 2008, when Muslims rioted against its consecration. Since then local Copts have had to commute to distant churches or worship in hiding at each other's homes.

While Muslim leaders criticized the Nov. 29 vote in Switzerland that banned construction of minarets, they don't support Christians who want to build churches in some Islamic countries. Restrictions in Egypt have exacerbated sectarian violence and discrimination, say Copts, a 2,000 year old denomination that comprises about 10 percent of the population.

The day after the Swiss vote, Ali Gomaa, one of Egypt's top Muslim clerics, called the decision "an attempt to insult the feelings of the Muslim community in and outside of Switzerland."

Copts quickly said that neither Gomaa nor any other Islamic leader mentioned the Christian situation in Egypt.

"Without the merest attempt to put our house in order, are we in any position to taunt others to put theirs?" Youssef Sidhom, editor-in-chief of the Cairo-based Egyptian Coptic weekly newspaper El-Watani, said in a telephone interview. "They should be ashamed."

The contrast between criticism of the Swiss and silence about local parallels isn't limited to Egypt. Censure of Switzerland, where about 5 percent of the population is Muslim, was widespread in Islamic countries where Christians face restrictions on practicing their faith.

'Xenophobic, Prejudiced'

"The decision of the Swiss people stood to be interpreted as xenophobic, prejudiced, discriminative and against the universal human-rights values," said the Organization of the Islamic Conference in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which represents 57 Muslim-majority nations.

Members include Saudi Arabia, where non-Muslims are arrested for worshipping privately; Maldives, the Indian Ocean atoll where citizenship is reserved for Muslims; Libya, which limits churches to one per denomination in cities; and Iran, where conversion from Islam is punished by death, according to a 2009 U.S. State Department report on religious freedom.

"The Copts are a minority. Why do they need more churches?" Ain Shams café owner Harbi Muhammed Ali said in an interview. "There are other churches around. If you have one car, do you need two?"

Human Rights

As for Switzerland, "the West is always preaching human rights," he said. "It's their problem."...

Well, then, perhaps the West should start preaching a different tune vis a vis Muslims.

What's good for the goose, after all ..

The hypocrisy in no way bothers them. The idea is to push Islam on everyone and injure all other religions. They will use the argument of "human rights" in the West if it furthers their objective. At home they will trample on the human rights of Christians and others. There is no disconnect, no soul-searching. It is Islam, so all is permitted against the infidel religions. The western media have pretty much played down all of this, but I have to give credit to "World Focus", which I see on channel 21 in NYC at 7 PM. It showed a man being stoned to death for adultery last night in Somalia. It is the best and most honest news source around.

The excerpt above is enough to show why anyone with a shred of decency in the West should simply shrug off all the mahoundian whining and crying about the obstacle courageously placed by the Swiss in the way of their barbaric, misogynistic, inhuman, inherently violent, racist and supremacist bundle of bedouin savagery and 7th-Century backwardness masquerading as a religion.

Islam is not a religion, Islam is not a religion, Islam is not a religion.

By the way, I was surprised in a bad way at how the Financial Times newspaper covered the then-upcoming minaret ban referendum. They painted the party bringing the referendum as manipulative racists and the Swiss as ruining their country's reputation if they voted "yes", and besides, predicted this article, the referendum would lose. Well, the Financial Times was wrong, and they revealed themselves to be tightly in the pocket of the Islamists. It was the same issue of the paper that implored Obama to mount all-out pressure on Israel to force them to divide Jerusalem. I don't think you need to be a conspiracy theorist to wonder exactly what is going on at the Financial Times. Is Saudi and emirate money infiltrating all western institutions?

There's another important point here, too. as enshrined in the hideous "Pact of Umar", the ur-document of dhimmitude, the "protection" of second-class Infidels is subject to revocation at any time, if *any* member of the subject community breaks the pact.

This was bad enough when an Infidel might suffer for something his neighbor did, or someone in the next village—now, due to improved communication, Copts in Egypt can be made to suffer for the actions of Swiss Infidels, hundreds of miles away.

I suppose the Pact of Umar should henceforth be considered null and void, since there are always uppity Kaffirs somewhere in the world.

I would like to see the figures for, say the last ten years, respecting how many churches (and dare I mention synagogues) have arisen in the 57 Muslim nations of the OIC versus mosques which have been constructed in Western countries over the same time period. The gold standard of reciprocity for the West should be how much religious toleration exists in Saudi Arabia. Whenever Muslims howl about discrimination against their religion, the response should be to point out Saudi Arabia's ban on any religion being practiced or preached there except Islam. Of course, numerous other examples could be provided illustrating how repressive Muslims treat with believers of other faiths in Muslim countries but SA, I would argue, should be exhibit number one.

I understand the concept that Muslims aren't really being hypocrites when they deny true reciprocity to other religious folk because Muslims believe Islam is the true faith and thus deserving of indulgence and preeminence that no other religion is entitled to, but I reject this argument. One's narrow-mindedness, worldview and ungraciousness should never be invoked to remove the charge of "hypocrite" against the offender. After all, one doesn't have to know he is a hypocrite to be one. And thus the Muslim world is the greatest hypocrite of all. None bigger (or more repulsive).

Okay, we get it....OIC don't like non-Muslim countries banning minarets. Now, any comment from this same OIC about killing children in mosques?

Seriously, inquiring minds want to know....

When you mix power with the almighty feeling of supremacy, you get something very equivalent to Nazism. There is no antidote except all out war or to join them in their diabolical world of slavery and opression. The copts are slaves of Muslim opressors.

Unfortunately enough of the world has forgotten what it feels like to see, feel and touch or hear the Nazi message and they cannot recognize the common theme.

BTW, the Nazis were best friends with the Muslims and birds of a feather do flock together.

Ha !!

What a CHUTZPAH !!

Copt have been kidnapped and sloughed in Egypt long before Ali Gomma knew how to pronounce 'Switzerland' !

( I doubt if he can today!...).

No new churches in Egypt -- no new mosques in Christendom.

Screw the bastards.

You cannot deny human rights and then claim to have them.

And no ... I'm not ashamed of appearing to "sink to their level".

Reciprocity.

Pure, simple and universal reciprocity.

=============

And so far as America in particular is concerned, the constitution is not a suicide pact.

So reciprocity should be practiced here as well.

No American financed Christian schools in Arabia -- no Arab financed mohammedan schools in America.

And the same for the rest of them.

This happened in Sydney a few days ago. Curiously, it is not online:

Santa-suit bus driver showered in glass
Report from Sydney Daily Telegraph p.3
Rhys Haynes

A bus driver dressed as Santa was attacked in Western Sydney by three young men who smashed in one of the bus windows, showering him in glass.

Police are searching for the men who approached the 45 year old driver while he sat in his parked vehicle during a break at Park Terrace bus terminal at Bankstown about 1pm yesterday. The man was dressed as Santa complete with white beard as he has done for many years......

Three males of Middle Eastern appearance walked towards the bus, yelling abuse and then one of them has thrown a glass bottle at the window, smashing the window and showering the glass all over the victim"...

Bankstown is a Sydney suburb notorious for Muslim thugs and their wars with other Muslim thugs - usually over drugs.

Christmas in Australia is celebrated with no regard whatsoever for the whining of Muslims, there are Christmas trees and decorations in every mall and shopping centre. Looks as if it was all too much for some of the local 'men of Middle Eastern appearance' (Aussie code for Muslims).

Thanks for posting this disturbing story, Warcat. We can add this to the appalling story about the Rabbi in Vienna who had his finger bitten off by a crazed Jihadist infuriated over a public Hanukkah menora lighting.

We can expect more of the same in the West if we don't wake up.
