In The American Thinker today, Pamela Geller chronicles the ongoing CAIR machinations and chicanery in the Rifqa Bary apostasy case:
There is a war of attrition going on in the Rifqa Bary case. Rifqa is the girl who converted from Islam to Christianity and fled from her family in fear for her life -- and the Islamic machine is attempting to wear her down, grind her down by constant mental abuse. The persecution is so obvious, and yet so mundane that no one seems to take notice. The banality of evil.Some sources say that a Muslim psychiatrist was assigned to Rifqa while she was in Florida, where she fled from her Ohio home (now she has been returned to Ohio, where she is in foster care.) How cruel and inhuman. And Omar Tarazi, the CAIR-linked lawyer for Rifqa's parents, asked the court to hold her in contempt to force her to attend counseling sessions with a Muslim counselor. The counselor that her parents were demanding she see also filed an affidavit in support of Rifqa being held in contempt. Psychological abuse, that's what that was.
The Barys' lawyer had also demanded that all the Christmas cards sent to Rifqa in the Christmas card campaign for Rifqa that I originated at my website AtlasShrugs.com be banned and seized. Rifqa has received hundreds, perhaps thousands of cards -- and the Islamic machine saw every one of them as a threat. They wanted Rifqa isolated from everyone except those who will break down her resistance and run roughshod over her conscience and her religious freedom. The judge ruled against them on that one Tuesday. But the fact that it was even an issue was the real issue.
The Barys, in league with the Islamic machine, are now prosecuting their pious, straight-A honor student daughter on a fallacious charge of "waywardness." Further, they hope to prosecute any friend of Rifqa who helped her. Why? Because she converted out of Islam. The pastor who took Rifqa in and provided her shelter when he fled to Florida is constantly being threatened by CAIR-appointed attorneys with some trumped-up charge. Why? Clearly to discourage anyone from helping apostates escape Islam.
The latest warning is that Brian Williams, a missionary and the pastor in Ohio who baptized Rifqa, may very well be arrested. He was, at one time, a big brother to her -- unlike her actual brother Rilvan Bary. Rifqa has made no secret about not wanting to see her brother and has repeatedly refused, and with good reason. Rilvan Bary is a hooligan who in October leaked her whereabouts to a Muslim stalker-blogger. Rilvan gave the address of Rifqa's Florida foster family to San Francisco-based Islamic blogger Davi Barker, who then bragged at his blog that he knew Rifqa's present location and issued this veiled threat: "I'll tell you one thing reader... if she's not safe in Ohio, she's not safe in Florida."
No one involved in Rifqa's case in Florida or Ohio took note of this threat, or of Rilvan's role in it. But Brian Williams and the Florida pastor who took Rifqa in may very well be arrested; they have been so warned. Making this even more ironic is the fact that Rilvan Bary has been arrested -- for underage drinking -- and brags in lurid language about his sexual prowess on his Facebook, MySpace, Windows Live pages. Typical of Islamic misogyny, misplaced priorities and encouragement of the worst behavior in males is the fact that Mohamed Bary was enraged by his daughter's conversion to Christianity, but seems to have had nothing to say about his son's sleazy sexual trolling on the Internet....
Wannabe jihaddis and jihaddi-sympathizers and plain moochers keep very loudly "fearing", and secretly no-doubt hoping for that anti-mohammedan backlash that never seems to happen.
We collectively decided to put the days of the lynching behind us many years ago.
But when viewing this sort of brazen inhumanity and obvious provocation I wonder whether the society isn't going to get worn out maintaining it's civilized restraint, and at some point just say "Oh to hell with it. This isn't like lynching innocents" and just drag people like the senior Barys out into the street and, well ... do something primitive to them.
I'm not promoting the idea.
But even Americans aren't angels. And people like the Barys richly deserve some swift and painful justice.
Will our justice system provide it? Or will the public be left feeling abandoned, deceived and betrayed?
Folk justice grows where institutional justice becomes too scarce.
BTW, why haven't those SOBs been deported yet?
When will America yell, "Enough is enough?"
The answer is a function of the amount of Muslim provocation this is being dished out. As you know, Muslims are probing at every opening (dry runs on planes, footbaths, refusing rides to blind people, etc.), acting as a school yard bully taunting others to hit him. When someone takes the challenge the coward bully runs to the teacher, "He hit me, he hit me," in the attempt to evoke sympathy and play the victim. This will only go so far.
The answer to the question can be reasonably found in the response of the Europeans. They have put up with Muslim nonsense for far too long. It is only now that some backbone is being shown. Yes, battles will be played out in the streets of Europe, but these will provide excellent models of how Americans should react to the constant Muslim provocations yet to come. Europe is our mine canary.

imo theres the key to proving that the brays are bad parents when they act the way they have towards there daughter yet let there young son run wild . under 18 its illeagle to have a minor trolling for sex on the net or drinking underage and i believe parents are suppose to watch for it and take action against the offending child and if they dont i belive a complaint can ne filed with cps
Pray that this case ultimately upholds the First Amendment. After all, if all under the jurisdiction of the USA enjoy the equal protection of the laws, that means that First Amendment rights to the free exercise of religion apply even to young girls in doubtful immigration status.

You are exactly right. The hypocrisy found in this statement is unbelievable. Check that, it is actually quite believable.
I am ( proudly ) not a lawyer, but I would think this brother and his actions as well as the veiled threats on those websites could, no SHOULD lead to the undoing of the Bery's. I hope her lawyers take full advantage of this situation.
The Bary family appears to consist of co-dependent, dysfunctional, unauthorized visitors. It cost Sherrif Joe Arpaio 8 million $$ per year less to operate his Tent Jail near Phoenix, AZ than a normal one *, & he can expand it to hold 3000.

The similarities between CAIR and the KKK and the way muslims act in general is quite astounding. You would think that the knee jerk so-called civil and human rights activists would be all over this, not to mention the femists. I have never seen so much hypocracy and illogical thinking on behalf of so many non muslims here in the USA.

You're exctly right in what you say but, the problem with the majority of American people is they are too apathetic when it comes to this situation.
As long as no one bombs the local Wal-Mart which would limit their ferocious "hunting and gathering" stints and limit the number of flat screen TV's available, what do they care? And sadly, if not frighteningly, they're not really interested in taking the time to read and learn anything about the true spirit of Islime and the very real threat that lies therein.
Sadly, it's usually a very small percentage of the total population that's willing and eager to "do something" about a threat that's directed towards everyone. But, hopefully, those who "need" to wake up and smell the camel will do so soon!
Rifqa will turn 18 on August 10th, 2010. Under Ohio law she must either remain under her parents or the state's care until she is 18. Unfortunately, unlike many states, Ohio does not have an emancipation option.
Rifqa Bary needs our prayers for protection and safety. We are up against evil.
The entire religion of Islam could be dismantled if USA would garner up the courage and determination to do just two things...to start.
1. Destroy Mecca.
2. Destroy Medina.
Just those two things would bring Islam to a screeching halt. Talk about chaos in the Islamic world! This would give present day Muslims pause to realize that their "powerful" religion is not so powerful after all. I've been stunned and appalled by how Rifqa Bary has been treated. Thank God for the support she has received from Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller.
The more I hear about this young girl and all that she has had to go through, the more impressed I am by her. She is a fine anti-dhimmi of the year, indeed!
I hope, despite all her troubles, that Rifqa had a great Christmas, and that she has had a chance to receive (or at least hear about!) all the Christmas cards she has been sent.
Has the rally for Rifqa that was originally been planned for December 22 been rescheduled?
