Mahdi Bray, supporter of Hamas and Hizballah, is baffled
Mahdi Bray of the Muslim American Society just can't figure out how these young Muslims turned to jihad violence. The Muslim American Society is the Muslim Brotherhood:
"In recent years, the U.S. Brotherhood operated under the name Muslim American Society, according to documents and interviews. One of the nation's major Islamic groups, it was incorporated in Illinois in 1993 after a contentious debate among Brotherhood members." -- Chicago Tribune, 2004.
The Muslim Brotherhood "must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions." -- "An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Brotherhood in North America," by Mohamed Akram, May 19, 1991.
The Islamic Circle of North America is also a Brotherhood organization.
Are you starting to get an idea as to how these young men became "radicalized"? So am I.
"At Virginia mosque, a struggle to understand why young men may have held terrorist ambitions," by Bob Drogin and Sebastian Rotella for the Los Angeles Times, December 12 (thanks to all who sent this in):
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The bungalow-turned-mosque has no sign out front. It sits behind a Firestone tire store and across from a busy Dunkin' Donuts in a working-class neighborhood of modest homes in suburban Virginia.Members of the unmarked mosque struggled on Friday to understand how and why five well-liked members of an Islamic youth group embarked on a dangerous odyssey from Alexandria to their arrest this week in Pakistan on suspicion of seeking to fight alongside militant groups.
"Those are our children," Essam Tellawi, the imam, said in an emotional sermon to about 30 men and women who attended noontime prayers at the ICNA Center, which is affiliated with the Islamic Circle of North America. He added: "I could never describe the difficulties and hardships that our five families have been afflicted with."
None of the worshippers who gathered on a bitterly cold Friday had an explanation for how the five were radicalized. The young men belonged to a Muslim youth group of 12 to 15 young men that went camping, played basketball and performed community service projects.
"Our group never talked about politics" or waging war, said Mustafa Maryam, the youth group leader, who has known the five since 2006.
He called them "fun loving, career-focused children" who "appeared to have a bright future." He also called them "very goofy" and "laughing kids."...
The mosque plans an internal inquiry to see if the young men were secretly recruited by outsiders, or if they followed firebrand sheiks or extremist videos on websites.
"We want to know: What did we miss?" said Mahdi Bray, head of the Muslim American Society, an Islamic advocacy group based in nearby Falls Church, Va. "We saw these kids every day. In hindsight, what could we have done?"...
Well, Mahdi, for starters, you could institute programs in mosques and Islamic schools teaching against the jihad and Islamic supremacism. Once you've done that, get back to me -- there is more!
I have no doubt tht these guys were CIA.
Are you listening over tere in Paki and Afghanistan???? When western "Muslims" come over to train on jihad, they are almost 100% certain to be CIA moles. Deal with them accordingly.
The problem is when Muslims go to mosque, there is not and can never be anything called "worship" simply because there is no Allah to worship... only their adolescent, selfish, stupid rage.
I was a "goofy, laughing kid" once.
Funny thing is, becoming more observant in my Infidel religion as I got older didn't change that. Now I'm a goofy, laughing adult with no interest in traveling abroad to "slay and be slain" for the promise of a hedonistic paradise in the hereafter.
How about that.
I expect the real culprits will be the "firebrand" Sheikhs.
None of the worshippers who gathered on a bitterly cold Friday had an explanation for how the five were radicalized.
Of course. And we are all sympathetic, because this could happen to anyone. Just look at the recent epidemic of radicalized baptists, catholics, baha'i, LDS, etc. No, wait...
I have been listening to NPR, first as Scott Simon introduces Nihad Awad (one of the most sinister of CAIR operatives), by telling a nation-wide audience that CAIR has repeatedly denounced "terrorism" -- Scott Simon is apparently unaware of how many people who are connected to the inner circles of CAIR have been found to have expressed support for named terrorist groups, and how CAIR itself is not a "civil rights organization" but one dedicated to protecting, from prying government eyes, the doctrines of Islam, the preachings of imams, and the behavior of Muslims who, naturally, are deeply affected by what has been inculcated in them since childhood, and which flatly contradicts not only the letter and spirit of the Constitution, but also represents a permanent threat to all non-Muslims.
Nihad Awad has been busily re-inventing himself, no doubt because he was placed in a position where he simply jhad to go along, once one or more of the Muslim parents, not worried about what might happen to American soldiers, but worried that American soldiers might end up killing his son, decided to report his suspicions to the FBi. Nihad Awad did not dare to interfere -- why, for all he knew, this might have been a clever FBI sting to catch him, Nihad Awad, counselling people not to report anything.
Besides, Nihad Awad and Mahdi Bray and many others, at CAIR or MSA or ISNA, are running scared, not least because of all the material collected by Dave Gaubatz and his son, from inside CAIR, material that is now in the possession of the FBI and that will reveal a great deal that NIhad Awad, that CAIR, wishes had never been revealed.
So he has to change his tack, and his tone, and now he presents himself as just one more loyal American, indistinguishable from all the rest. Did he once declare that Islam was here not to be the equal of other religions, but to dominate, to take over? Why, yes, but that was a while ago, and though of course it would be impossible for Nihad Awad ever to stop believing that Islam should dominate, and Muslims rule, right now he is going to do what he can to deflect scrutiny, to dampen criticism.
But who is dumb enough to believe any of this for one minute? Well, Scott Simon, that's who. And probably a great many others. They need to find out what CAIR, and Nihad Awad, are all about, and what they are all about no matter what, at this point, they pretend. For the members of CAIR know what the five defendants in New York wrote in their own defense, that "war is deception."
Keep in up, Awad. Among the ill-prepared, the wilfuly ignorant, you are sure to do fine.
That reminds me, the other day I heard Barbara Walters going on and on about "A-wad" and I thought she was talking about this CAIR loser. Turns out it was a report on Alex Rodriguez. :)
"None of the worshippers who gathered on a bitterly cold Friday had an explanation for how the five were radicalized."
By following their prophets example, of course. HELLO! ...drrrrr
As it is, the Mahdi's and the Awads' seem to be more worried about "Catholic terrorists" than their own:
http://washingtontimes.com/news/2009/dec/11/muslim-leaders-vow-cyber-response-luring-youths/
I may be beating a dead horse but-- MUSLIMS LIE TO US! There is little sense talking to them. We need to get serious by dismantling these fifth column operations within our country and culture.
"We want to know: What did we miss?"
Don't ask me, I can't stop laughing at the video long enough to type it out...
Church lady ON:
What could have caused these nice boys to become terrorists? Hm. Tricky one, isn't it? Yes, hm. Let's see. Could have it been ... the ISLAM?!'
"None of the worshippers who gathered on a bitterly cold Friday ...."
What does that have to do with anything? Is the mosque unheated as well as "unmarked"?
Why is this a surprise?
Virginia has become a perfect petri dish for these 'disenfranchised' youth to thrive in because of PC, the Demicrat's unbridled spending and taxing and destruction of the workforce. So what else can these youths get for their trouble?
Many a youth involved in this kind of life turns out comes from a middle class family, goes to a good school, etc. Unlike those who are recruited in the mideast - where unemployment of men aged 17 and well into their 30s is chronic of their culture - these young people live in a country where opportunity, or better yet, the abundance of freedom enables them to choose to follow radicalism whether they subscribe to these ideas or not. And why not? These schools are sprouting all over the Commonwealth and who's to say that the radical doctrine is not being taught? I bet you can't get the government to insist on taking over Islamic education, right? See how far that goes. Oh to be a fly on the wall.
The fact that the subversive leadership of CAIR is allowed to exist baffles me. How about we take out their business model and starve their organization of money? No, wait...I bet there is some SEIU connection here. Nothing happens without money.
Why do stories of Americans joining the jihadist ranks overseas pop up in the media (like Daniel Boyd and Jude Kenan Mohammed), cause an outrage then die quickly? The FBI should be already aware that people who convert to Islam at first may not be a threat. Many of these people travel a lot to Pakistan and other places, and we know these are not friendly beach resorts. Why are they allowed to come back to the US without investigation?
Some people are very easily turned to murder by glorifying it as an honorable quest to defend principles of peace we all know do not exist in this religion. This bunch of kids are no exception. All it takes is access to their minds, their needs and wants, exploit their teenage fears and voila. They systematically take over our culture by making it harder to complain about Islam. It's happening.
When it is your base culture and base morality that promotes criminal action ... then it follows logically that perfectly normal people who are socially and morally well adjusted will engage in criminal action.
There really is no other logical explanation.
Were it only one or two, or even just the odd and rare case over time, one could conjecture that something quirky and strange was happening. But the constant heartbeat of normal-nice-guy-turned-destroyer demands a logical explanation.
I will add that the constant denial of the obvious does not generally produce desirable, positive results.
Despite such scenes as this I sense the awareness noose is beginning to tighten. Honestly, I don't think this story would have made the MSM outlets a year ago. And nobody, and I mean nobody, bought obama's "let's not rush to judgment" Ft. Hood remarks and subsequent obfuscations. While yet reluctant to voice it every news outlet has the M-word on the tip of their tongues. Questions have been raised that demand answers. "Shock and surprise" is no longer working. This self imposed censorship cannot last much longer and when it breaks it will break big. PC be damned.
Where it may go from there is beyond my ability to guess. I am grateful to people like Robert and Hugh who have raised awareness despite being castigated as hate mongers. I believe their (and others) efforts are beginning to bear fruit.
"Those are our children," Essam Tellawi, the imam, said in an emotional sermon to about 30 men and women who attended noontime prayers at the ICNA Center, which is affiliated with the Islamic Circle of North America.
........................
Here, they are not even "youth"—they are "children". The ages of these "children"? Ramy Zamzam is 22. Waqar Hussain Khan is also 22, Ahmed Minni is 20, and Aman Yemer, at 18, is the only one who might conceivably be considered "a child".
I haven't seen any indication of how old Umar Farooq is. Since he is an accounting student at George Mason University, though, I would assume he is likely in his late teens or early twenties like the others.
Oddly—and this has gotten less attention—Umar Farooq's father, Khalid Farooq, was arrested by Pakistani authorities along with Umar and the four other young men. It's unclear what the older man's role was in the episode, but it seems quite possible that these "children" were not exactly on their own.
None of this stopped a well-meaning but clueless Kaffir neighbor who lives across the street from the Farooqs from chiming in:
"They seem like a nice family. I feel sorry for her [Umar's mother, Sabria Farooq]. I'm sure she's going through a lot of misery right now," Miller said. "It's too bad kids do bad stuff," he said.
"It's too bad kids do bad stuff"—you'd think little Umar had embarrassed his hardworking parents by being picked up for marijuana use, maybe, or joyriding—not for *conspiring to wage violent Jihad*.
Of course, it is not only gormless Infidel neighbors who feel sorry for the families:
Imam Essam Tellawi continues: "I could never describe the difficulties and hardships that our five families have been afflicted with."
........................
More self-centered whining. No concern for the people who might have been murdered by these "children"—just self-absorbed resentment over the "difficulties and hardships" that the families of would-be violent Jihadists have suffered.

So, now we know from their own words that Muslim leaders don't know why some of their flock turn into manic murderers, and are not able to identify them among their congregation.
They shouldn't object then if outsiders hide among Muslims in order to assist.
One day you could be walking down the street and, bang, you’re radicalized. I mean, that’s how it happens, isn’t it? Catholic, Baptist, bowling club member; it happens to us all. You’re minding your own business and suddenly you’re convinced that killing anyone who doesn’t agree with the bongo directions from the Moon God, “Kill! Kill! Kill!” It’s a common enough, everyday experience for which Moose-lams really don’t have to offer any explanation.
It’s getting harder and harder for these real-life Moonies to keep up with the growing number of folks who are becoming quite knowledgeable about Islam and its evil ways. What are they going to do, stamp their feet and promise to hold their breath and turn purple unless everyone stops noticing the truth about Islam. “You people there. Yeah, you. You are to believe us, not your lying eyes.”
It's interesting watching this whole episode play out. CAIR gets to improve it's tarnished reputation by coming in and slanting this story as #1. a champion of poor innocent Muslim families who are completely victimized and astounded that their darling innocent boys were found in BF Pakistan. #2. recieve relevance and respect for encouraging these families to come forward.
Come on, your 18-20 year old son goes missing and you don't file a police report or put up posters or SOMETHING??? I don't buy it for a second. I have kids and I would be camped out at my local station wanting to know what they've found out and what they were doing about it. Hell by the time a week went by, I'd be calling the media and raising holy hell yet they just came forward?
As the mouthpiece for these families, get used to CAIR championing their cause on any news site that can stomach having them appear. You can't tell me that CAIR didn't process these families thoroughly and I read (sorry don't have link)that it was the families that went to CAIR and THEN came forward.
Like dog years and other things that multiply inexplicably, this one story is going to be worth more than they could have dreamed of and none too soon being that there's that horribly unflattering book out there likening them to the mafia. Funny how this one story will be spun five ways from Tuesday and we'll all be expected to lap it up and pat them all on the back for doing the "right thing".
Don't get me wrong. It's fantastic that they were apprehended before they could kill innocents but from a CAIR perspecive, this may just be the best thing that could have happened for them - the PR on this will be milked to the hilt.
Scott Simon holds the box of tissues. Mr Hooper used them to dry the tears of those fine young boys who really may have went to Pakistan only seeking Virgin Brides. According to the Boys spiritual leader, all such young boys have nothing more on their minds.
Has Scottie really ever learned anything over the years or is he there to maintain the character of National Propaganda Radio?
I would love to hear him interview you! We could all experience what a Stroke sounds like on air. Unfortunately, the Polar Ice Cap will melt long before the invitation arrives.
Don't get me wrong. It's fantastic that they were apprehended before they could kill innocents but from a CAIR perspecive, this may just be the best thing that could have happened for them - the PR on this will be milked to the hilt.
True, CAIR will try to play this like the hero but it may be too little too late for them. Robert reported earlier that the FBI swooped in and recovered the CAIR documentation that was used in "Muslim Mafia" right before it was to be returned to CAIR (by a judge's order).
After considering the FBI's actions I tend to believe they actually plan to investigate and build a case against CAIR. If not it would have been much less problematic to simply allow those documents to revert back to CAIR.
I think what you see now is part of a desperate PR attempt by CAIR to blunt any investigations and subsequent findings. Investigations like this take time so I don't expect to hear anything soon. However, if the FBI can build a solid case against CAIR it will be the end for them. Even announcing an investigation will force most politicians and media outlets to distance themselves, robbing CAIR of a national platform from which to speak their soothing lies.
Either way it sounds like some serious trouble is heading CAIRs way. Couldn't happen to a bunch of nicer guys.
Warning to America: 'A False Sense of Security Will Destroy You'
Exclusive Interview With The Shah of Iran
U.S. News & World Report, March 22, 1976 [2nd of Farvardin, 1355]
Photo: "The Shah of Iran: The Emperor of Oil"; Time cover page, 1974
[Shah Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi of Iran:”…let me ask you a question. Could the United States afford to see Iran lost? Could the whole world afford it? You can't just live in your dreamland - your "fortress America" - and let all the countries of the world eventually disappear. A false sense of security will destroy you - like nothing. If you pursue that policy, Iran is one country that, if it goes, you are going to feel it badly. If we disappear, don't think that the rest of the region will stay as it is. If we go, the inexorable fate of the region will be that the present source of energy to Europe and Japan, and to some degree to the U.S., will not only be in jeopardy but will probably be cut off… If you remain our friends, obviously you will enjoy all the power and prestige of my country. But if you try to take an unfriendly attitude toward my country, we can hurt you as badly if not more so than you can hurt us. Not just through oil - we can create trouble for you in the region. If you force us to change our friendly attitude, the repercussions will be immeasurable… I am afraid that today America's credibility is not too high. You look rather like a crippled giant. Angola has contributed substantially to that. This kind of policy will only lead you into more Vietnams in the future. Many things happen before an election, but after the election the world will be the same place and you will have to tackle the same problems. I only hope that after the election you can take decisions and move ahead…”
Question: Do you plan to buy nuclear power plants, even a nuclear-fuel reprocessing plant, from the U.S.?
Shah Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi of Iran: I intend certainly to buy nuclear plants from the U.S. if they are competitive...On reprocessing [plants], not yet, because it is only economical if you process large amounts. Maybe one day we shall have so many atomic plants that we will have to do that in our own country. But don't forget that we signed the nonproliferation treaty, and when we sign something we feel obligated to it…]
HIGHLIGHT:
A key Middle East ruler counts on the U.S. for weapons, modern industry, and technology. Americans view Iran as a stable supplier of oil. Yet the once-warm relationship shows signs of fraying. The Shah explains why.
BODY:
Q. Your Majesty, we hear Iran is running into serious money problems despite its oil wealth. Are you going to have to cut back your ambitious development plans?
A. We have a budget deficit of over 2 billion dollars, and our income has dropped by about 4 billion, if not more. We are going to try to save as much money as possible, inside the country. We have started a very serious and meaningful drive against corruption. In many cases we see that our internal corruption is due to the relation of some of these people with foreigners. And, my God, these foreigners are very, very corrupt people! I am not going to speak about cases, but they are awful.
The foreigners would not hesitate to make a dirty deal or any kind of bribery they can. We are going to weed this out, and probably this will save money.
We are not going to scrap any of the programs. Maybe some will be delayed by a few months, but that is all. I think we will be capable of carrying out the plan with some little delay.
Q. You are spending billions on defenses. Do Iran's security needs justify the build-up of an armed force of such size?
A. Obviously, because of what is going on around us and the amount and type of weapons that we see around us. Just envisage the next 20 years in the general region of the Indian Ocean. And, by "the Indian Ocean," I mean all the countries riparian to that ocean. The East African coast is far from being completely stable and immune to eventual developments which might be harmful to stability in the region. Berbear [site of a Soviet-built naval base in the Somali Republic] is not the only case; there are other sore points.
The Persian Gulf delivers about 70 per cent of Europe's energy needs and about 90 per cent of Japan's. If these lines of communication are not secure, then Japan and Europe will crack. So while we are doing this for ourselves, at the same time I think we are rendering a great service to the whole of Europe and Japan. I wish the responsibility could be shared by as many other countries as possible. But for the time being we are doing the job.
Q. The U.S. Congress has expressed concern about American involvement in Iran's military build-up. Is there a risk in having a great number of U.S. advisers here?
A. First of all, I don't know what the concern is about. We are paying for the arms and the experts. I also don't see what you mean by “involvement," because the contracts state that these people will not be involved in any war between my country and any other country. These are the terms of the contracts.
But let me ask you a question. If we go, the inexorable fate of the region will be that the present source of energy to Europe and Japan, and to some degree to the U.S., will not only be in jeopardy but will probably be cut off.
Q. What would you do if Congress embargoes arms sales in the Persian Gulf region?
A. That would be so irresponsible that I am not even thinking about it. But if it happens, do you think our hands are tied? We have 10 other markets to provide us with what we need. There are people just waiting for that moment.
If you remain our friends, obviously you will enjoy all the power and prestige of my country. But if you try to take an unfriendly attitude toward my country, we can hurt you as badly if not more so than you can hurt us. Not just through oil - we can create trouble for you in the region. If you force us to change our friendly attitude, the repercussions will be immeasurable.
Q. Are American weapons and technology too sophisticated for your people?
A. Well, so far we have been able to handle it, the ratings of units are almost the same as yours. If the rating is lower, it is because of lack of spare parts, and that is your fault. You are not providing the spare parts at the necessary rhythm demanded and required. All our people receive the exact same education that you give your people, and they graduate from your schools, so if they are not good it is a product of your schools.
Q. Will Iran continue to buy American arms even if the U.S. doesn't buy more of your oil?
A. Sure - if we have the money. We never planned to buy more F-14s than first ordered, but we have plans to buy hundreds and hundreds of other types of aircraft from the U.S. This includes F-16 aircraft and other things. I think the advantage to this country of the AWACS [airborne warning and control system] is without dimension.
"YOU LOOK LIKE A CRIPPLED GIANT"
Q. Does Iran consider the United States a responsible and credible ally?
A. Well, I am afraid that today America's credibility is not too high. You look rather like a crippled giant. Angola has contributed substantially to that. This kind of policy will only lead you into more Vietnams in the future. Many things happen before an election, but after the election the world will be the same place and you will have to tackle the same problems. I only hope that after the election you can
take decisions and move ahead.
Q. Some U.S. officials - Treasury Secretary William E. Simon is one - say America should turn away from Iran, move closer to Saudi Arabia!
A. I think that relations between our two countries are based on such a high level of interest that they couldn't be influenced by the pleasure or taste of individuals with momentary careers. This is a lasting relationship, and even if people have opinions and influence they are not everlasting.
Q. Do you anticipate another Arab-Israeli war this year, or more fighting in Lebanon? If there is a war in the Middle East, what will Iran's policy be?
A. I can't say the situation is rosy. And, again, maybe the American election has something to do with that. I am sure that after the elections in the U.S., things will get moving. In the meantime we must try, all of us, to do whatever we can. I think the best thing to do is to reconvene the Geneva Conference and find a formula for the Palestinians to participate there.
The events in Lebanon were heartbreaking, and that poor country suffered terribly. For the moment it looks like a stalemate - a very dangerous one, too.
I see that the Israeli Prime Minister [Yitzhak Rabin] is saying that he expects a war in May. I have always expressed the opinion that [U.N. Security Council] resolutions 242 and 338 [basically calling for cease-fires, troop withdrawals, peace negotiations] must be implemented. We can't just accept fait accompli - the acquisition of land by force - because if you accept it one place, why should you oppose of someplace else?
Israel and the U.N. must seek real guarantees and formulas within secure boundaries for the future. You can't just risk war every time.
The PLO [Palestine Liberation Organization] should be at Geneva in some form, because you cannot ignore the existence of so many Palestinians. We have got to accept this. Just as we accept the existence of Israel, we have to accept the existence of the Palestinians, too. It is a reality. In the event of war, I see no reason to change our attitude. But I hope war will not occur, as it can produce some very unpleasant surprises.
Q. Your Majesty, do you still believe that Iran will become a world power?
A. Yes, I think we can do a lot in 25 years' time. I probably won't be around myself, but the foundation will be laid.
In 12 to 13 years the main infrastructure in every field will be solidly laid down. And from there we will just pursue the same policies using momentum to generate new possibilities and power - economic, industrial and human power, which is so important.
Maybe the oil will be finished by that time, although I hope we can start the conservation of oil in 10 years. In the meantime we will go all out in atomic and solar energy. We shouldn't have ecological problems in dealing with progress. The country is large, we have barren land, and pollution should not be a severe problem. We shall pursue sources of energy and save oil for petrochemical purposes. We also have fantastic reserves of gas. We will educate the people in various fields needed to make this country a sophisticated one.
Q. Do you plan to buy nuclear power plants, even a nuclear-fuel reprocessing plant, from the U.S.?
A. I intend certainly to buy nuclear plants from the U.S. if they are competitive with those offered by France and Germany.
On reprocessing [plants], not yet, because it is only economical if you process large amounts. Maybe one day we shall have so many atomic plants that we will have to do that in our own country. But don't forget that we signed the nonproliferation treaty, and when we sign something we feel obligated to it.
GRAFT IN IRAN: "HEADS WILL ROLL"
Q. You talked earlier about anticorruption, antiprofiteering campaigns. What new measures do you have in mind?
A. The fight against profiteering has resulted in a zero inflation rate this year - hopefully zero.
On corruption, we are in a position in this country, through our internal stability, to fight corruption at all levels, not just petty white-collar crimes. If we find corruption at the highest level, heads will roll. And don't doubt that this will be pursued. Other countries may be willing to live with corruption as an existing fact, but not in our case.
Apart from that, we will need some time to establish correct commodity prices, both for local goods and imports. We have been cheated badly by foreigners - foreign companies and firms that were overpricing things. It will take a little time to know the real prices.
Q. Is Iran a "police state," as so many outsiders charge?
A. No. I don't think I am divulging any important state secret, but the whole number of people in our secret police or security organization is about 3,400. I have seen fantastic figures saying that there were millions of people in our secret police and that we have more than a hundred thousand political prisoners. That number is also about 3,200 or 3,300. It is fantastic how things are exaggerated.

Speaking of jihad.Hope all those who have seen "Terror in Mumbai"on CNN and insist Islam has nothing to do with terrorism should have their heads examined. The world would be better off without Pakistan. That country is terror central.
My, my, my, how these Imams can lie.
I'm a poet and I know it.
BTW. I missed that CNN special "Terror in Mumbai".
I know it will be rebroadcast so I'll catch it then.
You know what's really weird?
They're saying exactly the same thing about a convicted jihad plotter in Australia!
http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/12/14/2770802.htm?section=justin
Headline reads: "Terrorism {tr: jihad - dda} plotter a 'happy-go-lucky boy,' court hears".
Then, from the article - "A lawyer for one of the men described his client as "happy-go lucky" and "unsophisticated." {yeah: but that doesn't mean he won't go happily out and smile and laugh while he's killing the kafir - dda}.
The lawyer said "He's one of the boys. Nothing more than that."
He called for a "stern sentence" but one that is not "disproportionately crushing."
The men smiled and waved to supporters in the public gallery before the hearing started." END QUOTE
Yeah, such happy, laughing lads, they couldn't *possibly* want to kill people.
Time to revisit a classic from the jihadwatch archives:

Please keep in your thoughts today Geert Wilders, just about the only politician in the Netherlands who understands the threat of these jolly muslims (i.e. Theo van Gogh's slaughter), who is accused of offenses against muslims and the islam and will have to appear in Dutch court today.
This country has gone down the drain almost completely.
Catholic school serves halal christmas meal, because 10 muslim children of the 400, shouldn't be isolated. College in the Hague refuses to allow a christmas tree, because it might offend those who don't believe in christmas.I could go on and on. I'm not one for trees at christmas, but what bothers me is that this custom has been all over Europe for more than a century and now we are going to be very humble to please a minority. I'm a member of a minority for 66 years. Can't recall any adjustments to please me (kosher)! Happy Chanukkah to all.
I'm very sorry friends; I made a mistake in the date of Geert Wilder's trial. It starts January 20, 2010. Thanks
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The bungalow-turned-mosque has no sign out front. It sits behind a Firestone tire store and across from a busy Dunkin' Donuts in a working-class neighborhood of modest homes in suburban Virginia.
Members of the unmarked mosque struggled on Friday to understand how and why five well-liked members of an Islamic youth group embarked on a dangerous odyssey from Alexandria to their arrest this week in Pakistan on suspicion of seeking to fight alongside militant groups.
Hmmmmm let me see what could have possibly sent these 5 young Muslim males to Pakistan for a date with jihad,(holy war), a term that "moderate" muslims will tell you is just an "inner struggle." But, why would 5 young muslim men travel thousand of miles away to Pakistan, a hotbed of Islamic extremism, for an "inner struggle."
Could it be the lure of the "Islamic paradise that offers 72 "dark eyed" virgins? Which the Koran says.
Qur'an 56:33 "Unending, and unforbidden, exalted beds, and maidens incomparable. We have formed them in a distinctive fashion and made them virgins, loving companions matched in age, for the sake of those of the right hand." [Another translation reads:] "On couches or thrones raised high. Verily, We have created them (maidens) incomparable: We have formed their maidens as a special creation, and made them to grow a new growth. We made them virgins - pure and undefiled, lovers, matched in age."
Qur'an 37:40 "Fruits, Delights; they will be honored in the Gardens of Pleasure, on thrones facing one another. Round them will be passed a cup of pure white wine, delicious to the drinkers, free from ghoul (hurt), nor shall you be made mad or exhausted thereby. And with them will be Qasirat-at-Tarf (virgin females), restraining their glances (desiring none but you), with big, beautiful eyes. As if they were (sheltered) eggs, preserved."
Or it could be the many verses of the Koran that teaches its followers and reiterated by the shouting Death to America and Israel, jihad spewing Imam at the mosque to wage holy war. Were they visiting jihadi websites that enticed them like our friend Nidal Hasan did before he went on his jihad mission?
Qur'an:2:216 "Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims), though you dislike it. But it is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and like a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knows, and you know not." [Another translation reads:] "Warfare is ordained for you."
Qur'an:33:22 "Among the Believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah and have gone out for Jihad (holy fighting). Some have completed their vow to extreme and have been martyred fighting and dying in His Cause, and some are waiting, prepared for death in battle."
Qur'an:9:111 "Allah has purchased the believers, their lives and their goods. For them (in return) is the Garden (of Paradise). They fight in Allah's Cause, and they slay and are slain; they kill and are killed."
Qur'an:47:4 "So, when you clash with the unbelieving Infidels in battle (fighting Jihad in Allah's Cause), smite their necks until you overpower them, killing and wounding many of them. At length, when you have thoroughly subdued them, bind them firmly, making (them) captives. Thereafter either generosity or ransom (them based upon what benefits Islam) until the war lays down its burdens. Thus are you commanded by Allah to continue carrying out Jihad against the unbelieving infidels until they submit to Islam."
Could it be these verses that have allocated their duty to fight the infidels wheverever ye find them be responsible?
Why is the so called "moderate" muslim community so quiet. And to put the cherry on top, CAIR, comes across as the "heroes" that helped when the families noticed that those 5 "goofy laughing kids" were missing.
No points for you CAIR. No get out of jail free card for you all. No getting out of your indictments or the evidence of supporting terrorism that is against you. But, I am sure CAIR will only say they are misunderstanders of Islam and did not want to participate in jihad. Not that they only admitted to it and traveled thousands of miles not for an "inner struggle." Just like the Fort Dix that were going to shoot soldiers there, CAIR said they were not terrorists but only discriminated against as so many other Islamic extremists who fight that "inner struggle" to murder infidels worldwide are.
They chant "Death to America" and Death to Israel". I chant "Death to Islam."
Blessed are the idiots, for even they can be forgiven.
