I would like to separate Muhammad from the Judeo-Christian tradition to create a bridge to safety for Muhams that still have a capacity to reason.

This is not only for Christians. It is for anyone who wants to know if Muham belongs to the Judeo-Christian tradition. I apologize for the amount of material but I wanted to be certain the separation was clear. It has taken me over thirty years of intense study of religions.
Jesus was a Jew and while he walked the earth his message was primarily intended to save the lost sheep of Israel. His message was a spiritual evolution or refinement of Judaic law. Here are some passages from the (N. A. B.) bible that expose Muhammad as a fabricator of Judeo-Christian connections, looking for earthly power. These are much higher spiritual values that were presented by GOD through Jesus 600 years earlier, that Muhammad and his followers after him do not understand or are not aware that they exist because of the compulsion to ignorance. There is little or nothing in Muhammaden source materials that comes close to these spiritual principles. Much of Muhammad’s creations are completely opposite these principles or what might be called demonic.
This is not a blanket release for errant humans from any faith or non-faith and it is not an exclusion of Buddhists, Hindus, ex-Muhammadens, atheists, agnostics and others who philosophically, intuitively or naturally follow the path towards being better individuals while participating in making this planet a more peaceful and loving world to live.

Egyptian governmental authorities and Islamic religious authorities, to say nothing of the average Muslim on the street, need to start treating people better than this. And they can do so, if they really want to. There are no excuses for this.
Jew_Lover: As a Jew who has converted and embraced Christ and his Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, I am subject, in theory, to punishment and even execution in any future halachic Torah nation-state. Hope you'll be standing by me and loving me then.
Patrick: If you've spent 30+ years involved in your religious studies, I might suggest you throw in the towel and cut your losses. If you still believe there is a Judeo-Christian tradition, you have seriously missed the boat on that account alone. Rabbi Jacob Neusner, in his book 'Jews and Christians: The Myth of a Common Tradition', agrees with me, a traditionalist Catholic, on this. And if you don't understand the normative, authoritative Catholic framework of Christianity as the truth of Christianity, then you're well off base there as well. And anyone who understands these fundamentals can see that Islam, for all its problems, errors and deficiences, is closer to true Chritianity, rightly understood, than most any other belief system.
By the way, since you apparently don't have a very high view of Muhammed, how about drawing upon your religious studies to explain exactly how Moses and Joshua, in their attitudes and conduct, were vastly superior to Muhammed?

Partitioning Egypt (for the Copts) is an interesting concept just beginning to be discussed, statehood for the Copts, how is that? A fantasy perhaps, but it would be easy to predict which of the two states would prosper.

Here's my idea.
Boot all the Mohammedans out of Gaza (which was under Egyptian control as late as 1967) and Sinai, into Egypt; all Copts who want to remain in the Middle East then leave Egypt proper and settle in the Sinai and Gaza as an independent Free Coptic State, in a defence-and-trade symbiotic relationship with Israel. Fishing, oil, tourist and pilgrim trade (focused on the St Catherine monastery), reclaiming the desert oases, and guarding the east bank of the Suez.
I think it'd work...The Israelis and the Coptic Sinai would, by this arrangement, act as each other's friendly non-Muslim neighbour, to give a bit of strategic depth and watch each other's backs vis a vis the murderous treacherous Ummah.
Don't listen to the Pope when it comes to similarities between Christianity and Muhammadenism. The Pope is a politician looking for votes. He is practically Muhammaden and very close to being an Anti-Christ himself because of his pale stance on Islam. Whoever accepts, tolerates, aides, supports, looks the other way, simpathizes or defends Muhammadenism is a Muhammaden. Read the Koran and then read the Biblical quotes that I printed. If you cannot see the clear separation between Jesus and Muhammad then you are a Muhammaden. Your statement that they are similar puts you right in my sights as an aider and abbetor of the enemy.

Jesus' message is the refinement of Mosaic or Jewish law. His message can not be found in the old testament and it is lacking in Catholicism (the Pope feels himself too important to share the limelight with Jesus).
I do not want Mosaic laws nor do I want Muhammad's fabricated connection with the Judeo-Christian tradition. His claim that he is the seal of the Judeo-Christian tradition is absolutely false. Both are contrary to complete harmonious loving union with ourselves and the world around us.

Evangelical missionaries to muslims (and I know some), like catholics, try to find points of contact and 'bridges' between the belief systems and cultural structures of Islam and the path of Truth in Christ. Putting aside everyting else, you wouldn't even be able to respond to the most fundamental of points I pose to you in this area. Such as, for instance, how do you know which books belong in the NT and which don't, without the Catholic Church. You won't be able to answer that. I was glad to see Bret Baier on FOX News cover the story of Maher El-Gowhary and his daughter Dina, and their life on the run. The segment also touched on the Christmas massacre of Copts outside a church, and the issue of Christian churches being denied building permits in Egypt. I'm not sure anyone else in the MSM has been covering these stories.
El-Gowhary and his daughter want to flee Egypt, and have approached the US Embassy. But the Egyptian government has seized the El-Gowhary's passports, since they can no longer travel under "Muslim" passports, and the government will not recognize their Christian conversion and issue them "Christian" passports.
This leaves the increasingly vulnerable El-Gowharys in bureaucratic limbo. I'm not sure what the legal ramifications are, but I believe the US should grant them sanctuary and bring them to the US on humanitarian grounds.

Regardless, it's widely known among even those with a LIMITED knowledge about the story of Moses and the children of Israel, that Moses was long-suffering with them, and in no way condoned many of their foolish choices. I have been in street and bar fights where people in attendance would grab me by my hands, arms and whatever while I was in the middle of 'it'.
