Actually I'm not surprised that Muslims r trying to marry more than one wives - polygamy's being fought for here in Canada (Bountiful, BC case with a lil' help of the ol' Bill C-250) the Muslims will want their religious rights/freedom to have their (up to) 4 wives.
For those who don't know, Canada's Bill C-250 prevents hate speech against religion/sexual orientation - it also promotes freedom to practice the religion in a reasonable manner. Muhammad allowed 4 wives & is one of the basic doctrines/allowances of the faith.

WE have been fighting against Sharia here for years now. It is however allot like playing whack a mole. Every time you think you bonked one of the buggers down, another one pops up.

3. Muslimahs are trained to obey their husbands, fathers, uncles, nephews and sons. Anything with a penis.
4. Women occupy a honored (if not sacred) position in Western culture.

It is at least 6 years since alBBCera Radio 4 did a programme on polygamy in Britain that took the line "Gosh its quite common". It featured interviews with the husbands ("Asians" of course) and one of the wives (English). I realised then the they were testing public reaction in the face of creeping shiria.
If that is not enough posters may remember about a (year?) back an "Asian" escaped a speeding fine in Scotland(?) because he was in a hurry to get from wife No. 1 to wife No. 2.
So why the fuss with this guy?

If polygamy is being tolerated by the government to the extent of giving taxpayer funded benefits to multiple wives, the government is actually encouraging people to violate its own laws. IF polygamy is illegal and government bureaucrats are rewarding the wives of polygamists with welfare benefits, wouldn't said bureaucrats and the parasitical recipients be culpable for violating the law if someone brought charges against them? I thought muslims were obligated to obey the laws of the non-islamic countries in which they reside until there are enough of them to overthrow the government and implement islamic law, or to at least practice discretion when ignoring or violating infidel laws. They're getting bolder and bolder with every concession they win.
I expect the issue of muslim polygamy to become a major problem in all Western countries as the muslim population increases. They are guaranteed religious freedom and polygamy is a fundamental tenet of islam. If they are denied the right to emulate their abominable prophet's practice of polygamy, they'll say it's a violation of their religious and human rights. I'm surprised this issue hasn't already made it to the courts in Europe and the U.S. but it's definitely coming. Multiculturalism is bound to create more legal problems and court battles than our judicial system can handle, and islam will be front and center.
