More 'legal Jihad'. What is the point here, since Faith Freedom is not out of India?
I believe that like the arrest warrants sought for Israeli officials and Geert Wilders in Britain, and members of the Bush administration in Spain, that the ultimate goal of this is to make anti-Jihadists afraid to travel, lest they face arrest abroad.
I believe it is also to set as many legal precedents as possible, in case there is ever a fully recognized "world court".
Ali Sina's retorts are brilliant. I'm not sure about the reference to Muhammed's supposed achromegaly, but everything else Faith Freedom says about the "Prophet" is verifiable—*through Muslim texts themselves*.

However well intended I doubt very much that you can prove or disprove anything about Muhammad, because the character of Muhammad is a manufactured myth, acording to the studies by the great historian John Edward Wansbrough. (Quranic Studies: Sources and Methods of Scriptural Interpretation (1977) and The Secterian Milieu: Content and Composition of Islamic Salvation History (1978).
Wansbrough caused a furor in the 1970s when his research on early Islamic manuscripts, including the analysis of the repeated use of monotheistic Judeo-Christian imagery found in the Qur'an led him to posit that the rise of Islam was a mutation of what was originally a Judeo-Christian sect trying to spread in Arab lands, rather than by simple cultural diffusion.

Isn't this the truth? Muslims had always had the 'freedom of speech' in the West, while they tried to restrict such freedoms for everyone else, a freedom they twisted to their own end to malign all who are non-Muslims, especially those who give them an inch. How can you disprove that Islam or any other religion for that matter is not a true religion?
Religion is based upon irrational faith and is as such a subjective truth. If I say that I love Jesus and believe in him or in Muhammad, how can you prove me wrong?
You can not. All you can do is saying that from experience we know that a given faith leads to actions which are unacceptable according to a different moral or cultural paradigm you believe is true.
Until such time we have a universal ethic principle that apply to all persons qua persons which is based upon rationality and not belief we are mostly wasting our time claiming that one belief system is better or more true than another.
Or we can let the selective forces of evolution determine the outcome. ;-)
