GAZA CITY (AFP) - A member of the armed wing of the Islamist movement Hamas was killed while handling explosives in the Gaza Strip overnight, a Palestinian medic said on Friday.Imad al-Selkawy, 25, suffered fatal injuries in the accidental blast, which occurred at Deir el-Balah in the centre of the Palestinian territory, the medic said.
Hamas's armed wing the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades confirmed the death in a statement, saying its activist had been killed during a "mission of jihad," a phrase it uses to describe such incidents.
My understanding is that the Arabic version included the word "wed"...meaning that yes, he got his virgins.

How sad is a religion that lusts for flesh after death and desecrates flesh during life. A religion striving for the pleasures of the flesh when an individual passes from earthly life is in a sense denying the sacred spirit God placed inside the transitory flesh in the first place.

This is an example of the double indemnity clause found in a large number of life insurance policies - only its opposite. Instead of receiving more (double) for an accidental death, the benefactors receive less. I wonder if the Intifada's financial backers, like their Western counterparts, life insurance companies, routinely reject such claims and if so, how are disputes settled and by whom?
