I can't help but reflect for a moment what Robert Gates, a good and smart man, knows, really knows, about Islam. So many times it's the good people who do far more harm than the evil folks. I think we have here a case in point with America's Secretary of Defense (never mind our current President who is beyond redemption).
Knowledge is power and ignorance is dangerous, arguably most so when it's the good element of mankind who are the ignorant ones. The new (and hopefully temporary) dark age of man continues. Interesting times.

Seeing the truly sickening place that America is in in failing to directly acknowledge the threat it faces, in the form of Islam, and seeing how even the Armed Forces, a group who if no one else is capable, should be dealing in facts, reality, hard-nosed tough minded reality, it becomes clearer how through history, through all of history, ONE MAN can have a drastic affect. One of these high ranking men must have enough fortitude to step out of line and speak the truth forcing the rest of the nation to face reality.
It may very well be that the systems in place to promote and regulate have in fact made sure that such a man is no where near the offices in control and we are doomed.

Are you telling me the thought of "internal threats" never crossed these brilliant minds after 9/11, or the many Muslim attacks (grenade tosser comes to mind) thereafter? Are you saying this is the very first time someone went "bad" in the military, that no previous wars with Germany or Japan or during the civil rights riots some black soldiers formed he black panthers in the 1960's had any impact or change in procedures?
