Osama adopts more Democrat Party talking points, blames U.S. for global warming

But with Obama working so assiduously to give him what he wants here, his rhetoric rings a bit hollow this time. "Bin Laden Blames U.S. for Global Warming in New Tape," from AP, January 29 (thanks to Twostellas):

CAIRO -- Al Qaeda leader Usama bin Laden has called for the world to boycott American goods and the U.S. dollar, blaming the United States and other industrialized countries for global warming, according to a new audiotape released Friday.

In the tape, broadcast in part on Al-Jazeera television, bin Laden warned of the dangers of climate change and says that the way to stop it is to bring "the wheels of the American economy" to a halt.

He blamed Western industrialized nations for hunger, desertification and floods across the globe, and called for "drastic solutions" to global warming, and "not solutions that partially reduce the effect of climate change."...

"We should stop dealings with the dollar and get rid of it as soon as possible," he said. "I know that this has great consequences and grave ramifications, but it is the only means to liberate humanity from slavery and dependence on America."...

Don't worry Osama, Obama is doing all this very well without you.

actually islam helped destroy the environment in the ME, while the Jews of Israel bringing green to their parched deserts. something the islamists cannot stand to see.

Okay Chuckles, let's just look at the effects of centuries of Islam rule on the countries where is it the major religion and "infidels" are fully dhimmized. Hmmm. All of them seem to be deserts. Surely that must be a cowinkydink.

Of course, all that oil drilling must be having an effect on the Islamic paradises as well. Perhaps the west should stop buying oil from Islamic states. I mean, look how much "global warming" is caused by burning Islamic fossil fuels. We owe it to the Muslims. Without our "colonial" interference (and oil revenues), Islamic paradises will return to their natural states.

Sand and camels.

What an utter moron.

1. The world has been cooling for the last nine years.
2. Food shortages have been brought about because of 1/3 of agricultural land being used for biofuel production. An idiotic policy to reduce global warming.
3. The Sahara Desert has been shrinking in recent years.
4. If he checked his ancestral history he would discover deserts existed before Western dominance and use of fossil fuels. I thought he liked deserts anyway.
5. No evidence of increased flooding.

He is wrong on every point.

He's just another idiot trying to use the junk science of global warming to destroy the Western economies. At least he didn't try and blame the Haiti earthquake on global warming.

How embarrassing for the Party of Slavery that bin Laden is in lockstep with their delusions.

Of course, he's only gaming them, but won't they have to admit that this is the Osama/Obama common ground?

The government of Saudi Arabia, that over the last three-four decades has done more than any other to block the kind of legislation that might lead to a reduction in the use of fossil fuels, and did the same at Copenhagen (China received all the attention, but behind the scenes Saudi Arabia was doing everything it could to block action) may not be delighted with this sudden, entirely factitious interest, of Osama Bin Laden, that celebrated climate scientist, in global warming or, more exactly, global climate disruption.

Nor, one suspects, will real climatologists welcome the sudden solicitousness expressed by Osama Bin Laden, Ph.D. in global climate disruption.

What's next? Osama Bin Laden on health care? On aid to education? On repairing our infrastructure? Why not? Pile it all on.

And don't forget to discuss global poverty and the role played in impoverishing many nations and peoples by the fantastic greed of OPEC oil states, that since 1973 alone have received twelve trillion dollars, without lifting a finger to deserve it. Make the manner of living of those in Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E., Kuwait, Qatar and similar places an issue -- go right ahead. Somehow, I don't think that topic will be part of the next tape, or the one after that -- or any, in fact, at all.

Democrat talking points? Party of slavery? I've never heard any Democrat talking about re-instituting slavery. I know that plenty of Republicans are in favor of out-sourcing to third world countries where the people are treated not much better than slaves. And they get a tax break for doing it! What great patriots they are.

Actually, this is a rather pitiful ploy by Usama bin-Laden to remain in the news. What has he ever done to help the world? Send out his psychopath buddies to kill innocents? We should all just laugh our asses off at this clown...... then kill him already. (Which we could have done when he was trapped in the Tora Bora highlands but the Neo-Cons were more interested in using 9/11 as an excuse to start an oil war for their Saudi masters.)

Umm, is this an Anti-Jihad site or a Republican propaganda outlet? I'm starting to wonder.

Maybe Usama bin Laden is going for the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in his tape, whilst keeping one, "War", for himself.

If so, it's a bit biblical and UBL should know the consequences of going away from Allah and the Qur'an to become "People of the Book" better than most.

There has already been talk of the oil-producing countries shifting from the US dollar to the Euro. Perhaps UBL is just getting ready for his jizya in a new currency.

Even Osama Bin Laden doesn't get it, but then he never has. Global warming, cap and trade is all about big money and big power, climate change, Global warming are the biggest hoaxes ever perpetrated on the American People as well as numerous EU Countries and Canada.

The credibility of those scientists who perpetrated this fraud for the purpose of gaining grant money that would only go into their pockets if they tried to make CO2 the culprit should be run out on a rail. Their fabricated science needs to face the courts. Their phony science is collapsing on every single front from Iceland,Greenland, and Antartica. It is collapsing faster than a stack of cards on melting Glaciers and so-called decreasing Polar Bear populations.

Al Gore is a leader and one of the hoax perpetrators of this phony enviromental religion, he is liar, and he is a shameful disgrace to this nation.

With Obama still pushing this as if he had some inside information is laughable on every level if it wasn't so pitifully untrue. But then again Obama has not managed to tell the truth on most of what he says-- his credibility is not only going south fast but it is also going south with more and more disenchanted Democrats as well.

The Oceans,.volcanic action, cattle, dead leaves, etc' contribute thousands of times more C02 into the atmosphere than humans do.

I believe 'Global Warming' is due to the Twelfth Imam coming out of the Occultation. He disappeared at age 5, in 874 AD hidden by Allah, and is now about to make his reappearance to set the world straight. Believe it or not... (I'm with the Zaidi on this one)... but this is the real cause of global warming.

Osama's scientific knowledge is wrong and heretical, blaming wrong causes, and wrong parties. Real fault is with Twelver Muhammad al-Mahdi to come manifest. Iran is feverishly working on it. Reappearance is imminent:

* Mahdi is reported to have said:

Shi'as believe that Imam al-Mahdi will reappear when the world has fallen into chaos and civil war emerges between the human race for no reason. At this time, it is believed, half of the true believers will ride from Yemen carrying white flags to Mecca, while the other half will ride from Karbala, in Iraq, carrying black flags to Mecca. At this time, Imam al-Mahdi will come wielding God's Sword, the Blade of Evil's Bane, Zulfiqar (Arabic: ذو الفقار, ðū l-fiqār), the Double-Bladed Sword.

Believe it or not? What's all the ME oil burning got to do with it? Pay attention OBL.
Ride on Twelver!

It doesn't surprise me he's using "global warming". That's what happens when you live in a cave, you don't keep up to date. IMO global warming caused by man/countries/industrialaztion is a pile of horsecrap. Guess OBL hasn't seen the latest stories of phony emails and hidden results.

I think he's screaming for attention, which in itself is frightening. Lord knows what he'll do to get it.

Thanks, Al Gore ...and since you and your team of "experts" are such gifted garbage collectors, then perhaps a better use of your time would be in finding this piece of garbage, bin Laden (poem be upon him).

...............

Why not indeed. His view on health care seems to be to leave it to the filthy Kaffir—he always jetted off to Great Britain for any ailments he or his many children may have had.

The Great Satan took care of the bin Laden family's medical needs at one point, as well. This, from his first wife, Nawja, about an incident during the family's trip to America in 1979 (from "Growing up bin Laden"):

"I was worried about Abdul Rahman [one of the children] because he had become quite ill on the trip and was even suffering with a high fever. Osama arranged for us to see a doctor in Indianapolis. I relaxed after that kindly physician assured us that Abdul Rahman would soon be fine."

This kindness would be repaid twenty-two years later.

Education? Well, he refused to let any of his children attend school—he was too busy running over their pets or making them sleep in ditches to toughen them up to worry much about that. He preferred private tutors, he could keep a close eye on what they were learning.

As to our infrastructure, he has already indicated that flying planes loaded with jet fuel into our most famous buildings is the preferred way to deal with that.

Don't forget that he has already commented on the best prescription for the American economy, as well, which is to bring the entire thing to a grinding halt.

Luckily, our own president is already working on that last point!

Some of the comments lead me to assume that Bin Laden's
screed on global is being taken seriously. Why would someone
who wants to use weapons of mass destruction to commit mass
murder--and create a holocaust-- care for the future of
the earth and human life? His "PARADISE" is not here on earth.

"Nor, one suspects, will real climatologists welcome the sudden solicitousness expressed by Osama Bin Laden, Ph.D. in global climate disruption." -- Hugh

Maybe al-Gore and his fellow IPCC Nobel Peace Prize winners will now want to petition the Norwegion committee to induct OBL, post facto, into the circle of winners. This would allow his extraordinary contributions to climate science, undoubtedly inspired by, if not described in detail in, the Qur'an, to be properly recognized, while at the same time better balancing the ethnic and cultural distribution of the awardees. After all, since it's the same committee that awarded the Peace Prize to our president, no doubt they could gin up a similarly creative rationale to celebrate OBL.

Joint AQ/ELF operations on the horizon?

The more fools we have who endorse the idea of man-made climate change, the faster this piece of nonsense will go away (although, sad to say, it will be replaced by a new piece of medical or environmental hysteria-----count on it). Since you can't get a much greater fool (not to mention a greater despicable person overall) than Osama bin Laden, I welcome this piece of vermin who passes for a human being opining as he has on man-made global warming, what John Coleman, meterologist and founder of the Weather Channel, has called "the greatest fraud in history." Personally, I would choose Islam as the greatest fraud in history but man-made climate change would still easily make the top ten here. After all, when discussing history's greatest frauds, reasonable minds can differ respecting in what order they should be ranked.

Agreed.

Perhaps the next thing will be a Y2K scare? Or perhaps avian flu or swine flu? Or perhaps the fact that we are in danger of over populating the world? Or perhaps we are in danger of running out of the second most common molecule in the Universe - H2O?

Whatever it is, you can guarantee that it won't be an actual threat such as Islamic supremacy or that there is a Marxist in the White House.

I quite liked Richard Lindzen's analogy when he said that the science behind anthropogenic global warming is worse than the science behind intelligent design.

What I find most stunning about all the man-made climate change nonsense is that to date not a single scientific study exists which proves that any warming in the atmosphere since the late nineteenth century is due to man. Not one.

All that is proffered are correlation studies and computer model projections, both of which have a notorious track record for accuracy, and both of which have never constituted true scientific proof, though in this pathetic age in which we live such non-scientific assessments have been put forward as scientific evidence and accepted by many, including those who should know better. Such is the state of the world in which we now live. The Age of Nonsense continues for the time being. Hopefully, this new dark age in which we now exist will end sooner rather than later (this would entail, among other things, the complete discrediting of Islam in the eyes of most of the world-----not there yet of course).

LOL! "... this new dark age in which we now exist ..." Love it!

I see you've looked into this in detail. I am in absolute agreement. No scientific study of which I am aware makes the link. Both the IPCC and the Copenhagen Diagnosis make the claim that there is 1.4 watts per square metre which cannot be accounted for, so we are going to attribute it to human activity. Fair enough!

The fact that it can be accounted for by both the urban heat island effect and cosmic ray theory never occurs to the IPCC authors. These are both outside the IPCC's remit.

All the computer models predict a hot spot in the troposphere above the tropics. This has never been found. I have spent months looking for this (though maybe it is not observeable by the naked eye!)

Apologies to everyone for going so far off topic.

...when he [bin Laden] was trapped in the Tora Bora highlands but the Neo-Cons were more interested in using 9/11 as an excuse to start an oil war for their Saudi masters.)
--------------------
Your pal Bill Clinton blew that one. As for the Party of Slavery, it was the Southern Democrats who tried to block the voting rights act. It is a sitting Democrat senator (Byrd-W. VA) who once donned the robe and burned crosses.

This isn't a political site, but the Democrat Party has more in common with Osama bin Laden, CAIR, Hamas, and the Muslim Brotherhood than you'd like to admit. Maybe that's why you're so upset.

@Medina - About the Slavery thing - I know the history of the Democratic party. Can you point to any current Democrats or any in the last 30 years who have spoken in favor of bringing it back? (By the way, I'm not a member of the Democratic party nor am I a liberal.)

Also, Bill Clinton is not my pal. Never met him. He did however issue an Executive Order telling the CIA to go ahead and kill UBL. They hemmed and hawed and didn't pull it off. Is that the CIA's fault or his? He told Bush when he came into office that Terrorism was going to be his #1 Problem. He was ignored. Bush had a report on his desk that read "Bin-Laden determined to Strike in the U.S." But he doesn't like to read and he ignored that to. But somehow the conservatives have twisted this into being 'Bill Clinton's fault'. I thought Bush was an idiot being led around by the nose by Cheney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz. Truthfully, I didn't care much for Bill Clinton either, but he's a rocket scientist compared Bush the Retarded.

What I was referring to in my previous post was when the our troops had Al-Qaeda trapped in the Tora Bora highlands during the post-9/11 war. The CIA had a man in there as a forward controller who said they should put 7,000 troops between them and the Pakistan border to prevent them from escaping. He was ignored and then removed from Afghanistan a week later. Bin Laden escaped over the border. The extra troops were sent to Iraq. Perhaps you can explain how that monumental failure was Bill Clinton's fault after he was out of office.

And if I'm upset at all, it's because I use to be a Libertarian who was in favor of free-market solutions to everything, and had my faith shattered by the Bush years and the craven kow-towing to corporations. I disliked Bill Clinton when he was in office because I thought he was going to bring some kind of totalitarian socialism to America (sound familiar?). It never happened. And in retrospect, reading about what really went on during his term in office and the things he did, like increasing spending on bio-warfare defense, and the fact that he not only eliminated the deficit, but gave us a surplus, I came to realize that I was wrong and he actually had been a decent president.
(Even if he was a horny-dog! :-D :-D )

Now, as to the Democrats having things in common with the terrorists, I've read that stated hear several times, but I have yet to be convinced of it. I will continue to read and learn as i have always done and reach my own conclusions. Sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm wrong (and admit when I am {ok, you got me on the Democrats use to support slavery thing :-P }), but I am always open to hearing new information and opinions and if I believe that the facts warrant it, I'll change my mind.

Peace be upon you my fellow American.

(ah shit, now he's gonna think I'm a Muslim.... :-D :-D )

Can't disagree with your assessment, Wellington. The scientists overreached on this one, and hopefully the chastizing experience will send them back to their labs to ponder what went wrong. But I understand these guys, and I can guarantee you they'll be back. Maybe not next year, or the year after, but sooner or later they'll fix the deficiencies of the models, new satellites will be launched to fill the holes in the present data grid, important physical processes not presently known will be identified, and a detailed model of the earth as a machine will be constructed. And when this is done the temptation will be to twiddle this or that knob to see what happens, to induce rainfal in the Sahara to make it bloom again, to regularize the weather patterns so that it's always sunny on the weekends, to shift ocean currents to rebuild the polar ice caps, whatever. There's already a field devoted to this called climate engineering. It's part of a more general field called terraforming, which concerns itself with the problem of making other planets human inhabitable. Watch the Science Channel.

I happen to disagree with much of this activity, partly on technical grounds, partly on the grounds that it's dangerous to experiment with technology that has the potential to create wide spread havoc. But I know my colleagues. This setback is only temporary. They'll be back.

I guess word has not yet reached sheik Osama's "hidey-hole" that global warming is a proven hoax.
