This is just face-saving and window dressing. As long as the military remains pro-Sharia and pro-Islam, and refuses to explore or discuss the elements of Islam that jihadists use to justify violence and terror, there will be more Nidal Hasans. "Officers could face rebuke in Ft. Hood shooting," by Anne Gearan for The Associated Press, January 15:
WASHINGTON -- As many as eight Army officers could face punishment for failing to do anything when the alleged shooter in the Fort Hood rampage displayed erratic behavior early in his military career, a U.S. official says....The official said Thursday that a Pentagon inquiry finds fault with five to eight supervisors who knew or should have known about the shortcomings and erratic behavior of Hasan, who's accused of killing 13 people at the Texas Army base on Nov. 5.
The official described the confidential report on condition of anonymity because it has not been made public.
According to information gathered during the internal Pentagon review and obtained by The Associated Press last week, Hasan's strident views on Islam became more pronounced as his training progressed. Worries about his competence also grew, yet his superiors continued to give him positive performance evaluations that kept him moving through the ranks. That led to his eventual assignment at Fort Hood....
Folks,
This is OT, but periodically here at JW, I've advertised this Oriana Fallaci tribute song I once wrote and produced. I recently had it downloaded to Youtube.
I emailed Robert, asking him if he'd feature it here. For whatever reason, he chose not to. I hope he doesn't mind me plugging it here.
It was written a year or two before she passed away. Consider it my little contribution to the anti-Jihad.

Charged and found guilty of Political Correctness?
When are Americans going to admit the truth about ritual murder and human sacrifice in Islam ?
The day must surely come when Islam and Jihad come to be recognized in the West for what it really is. If that happens before it is too late then it will be entirely due to a few people like Robert Spencer for their unstinting work.
Cornelius - I love it, and let's hear some more. Thanks. (I left a ms @ utoob)
When you contemplate the failure of those in authority to figure out what should have been obvious, you realize how ridiculous and utterly impossible it would be to have government bureaucrats weed out radical from moderate Muslims in the immigration screening process, as Dan Pipes has suggested.
We just need to make a decision: Will we allow Mulims to immigrate? Will we allow Muslims in our military? The answer should be binary.
I like your song, Cornelius. A very nice tribute to a remarkable woman.
Exactly. They should have reported Hasan's shortcomings, but they would have been labeled "racists" and bigots, if they had. There's no winning with PC fanatics.
And this is a surprise how? The leaders aren't going to admit their policies were wrong.
Bill Whittle at PJTV has an excellent, two-part interview covering the infiltration of the Muslim Brotherhood into our highest institutions. It is a depressing thing to watch, but you leave, knowing that if you are going to protect yourself, your loved ones and your community, you are going to have to do it with like minded folks together, and not depend upon your government agencies to do it.

Since Major Steve Coughlin, and Lt.Colonel West have confirmed that they will be at the February 19th meeting presented by Pamela Geller and Robert it would certainly be of interest as to what they might have say in regards to the Military behavior when it comes to Islam.
Hopefully if it is not included in their presentations, that question can be asked of both of them, especially Major Coughlin who wrote that excellent thesis on Islam that got him into trouble with Hesham Islam in the Pentagon.
Can you say "white wash"... The criminal political correctness that infects the all government agencies, not just the army, is fostered and promoted by those in the top ranks. Namely the so called commander in chief. So to insulate the real instigators of this nonsense, a few lackeys will be sacrificed on the alter to calm the mob. Meanwhile the damage continues.
The big questions might be: Where these supervisors performing under established Pentagon guidelines that reflect institutionalized political correctness when it came to Major Hasan's growing jihadist behavior?
Does the Pentagon have established specific guidelines in place to require any and all military personal to recognize the threatening behavior that Hasan had been repeatedly displaying? If not then the Pentagon needs to be fully accountable as well as to what happen at Fort Hood.
Cornelius:
Very nice tribute to Oriana. It might help to put her last name on the You tube tribute if you can. Unfortunately many out there don't know who Oriana Fallaci was.
If they see her last name on the You Tube title they may make inquiries on Google about her.
He exhibits threatening behaviour and jihadist tendencies. but no one at a senior level in the US military reports him for fear of being labelled "Islamophobic" - and then promote him.
Just wonderful!
Perhaps they should take a lesson from Al Qaida's highly successful staff development program. They identify talented individuals worldwide and turn them into fully-trained jihadist fanatics with unwavering loyalty. Of course they have no "Kuffarphobia" and "Racism" issues to worry about. To them all kuffar of any sort are fair game.
In the well-known phrase "Trust, but Verify" we need a bit less trust and a lot more verify.
I'm just waiting for a similar problem to occur in the UK military. They are just as shackled with political correctness.
OT (kinda)
Pat Condell's take on that rat choudary.
http://www.patcondell.net/
What about diversity-is-job-1 General Casey? He's the moron ultimately responsible for the PC policies or lack of safeguards that allowed this almost predictable Islamic jihad slaughter.
His immediate stupid response lament about a possible tragic reduction in "diversity" has got to be a big embarrassment. He should be top on the list of officers to be punished, but as usual, we hear only of mid-level officers who could face punishment.
Thanks for the positive feedback @ Stephen, Krazy Kaffir, & Mackie.
Mackie, I'll follow through on your suggestion. I just located a much nicer version of the song in my archives, one that sounds a little less "tinny" and with reverb, so, when I get around to posting it, I'll include her last name.
Thanks.
I consider this a move by the SOB's on top covering their collective asses by punishing their underlings. Just as obama scolded the CIA for not doing something about the underwear bomber, after he had scolded them for doing their jobs too well in securing america.

Well, well. They are finally waking up to the reality of jihad.
Hey, I have an idea: Who's the current Commander-in-Chief?
Wouldn't the buck stop there?

So long as politicians, journalists, military leaders, and so-called terrorism experts refer to Anwar al-Awlaki as a 'radical Muslim cleric' and to now devout Muslims--like Army Major Hasan--as having been 'radicalized', you will know that political correctness still trumps telling the truth.
For no one lives in a vacuum and it is ludicrous to believe, in all the years since 9/11, that not one of them has bothered to conduct personal research on the subject of Islam and Muslims.
While many of them are getting closer to spilling the beans, the ongoing public assertions by some that Islam is a religion of peace that has been hijacked by 'a tiny minority of extremists' is not the result of an honest assessment of Islam's true teachings.
As television personalities like Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity--along with President Obama and other elected officials--have research staff's, their misrepresentations simply cannot be driven by a desire to tell the American public the truth.
The buck only stops with him as long as he won't be damaged, otherwise it is always "Bush's fault." He'll keep whipping that dead horse even once he is forced out of office.
There is no such thing as being "radicalized". There is only taking action in devout support of the Qur'an, ahadith and sunnah.
The day we see some media persons dare to openly discuss the jihad imperatives in the Quran,Syrah and hadiths we will began to finally make some progress in the Western world when it comes to understanding what drives the jihadists.
Even 89 year old Helen Thomas last week asked the question of one of Obama's intelligence staff, what drives these terrorists? she did not get enough of a definitive answer so she pressed him 2 more times on it but to no avail.
Bill Oreilly ran with that and said he had the answer for Helen Thomas---"Helen, they want to kill you was Oreilly's answer"
That's right Oreilly didn't have the correct answer either and the media talking heads simply have made the real source off limits because they don't want to offend the Muslims and their holy Quran---So as usual it is checkmate again when it comes to political correctness in the media.
Kevin : He'll keep whipping that dead horse even once he is forced out of office.
That can't happen soon enough for me.
Worst President since Nixon.
Bugger! Bugger! Bugger! I meant CARTER!
The ranking SOB's will do nothing but apply window dressing because they know that's what Obama wants and the media will not question it.
Thanks gymgal for Pat Condell link. He's such good value.
