First off, Israel has missile interceptor technology capable of destroying a missile in mid-air.

It is true that one nuke would be enough to effectively wipe out Israel as we know it (not forgetting Israel's 'lovely' neighbours, the Palestinians). But why do the Ayatolla's think Israel will only respond with one missile? Israel has more nukes than Britain and France combined...

But historically, Israel is the master of pre-emptive strikes. I'm sure it won't let things come to that. The international community has to play Iran like a chess-board now. Obama's message to the Iranian people was great. The Iranians claims sound like they're made out of desperation. Also a diversionary tactic from their own problems...

Your research article sounds interesting, good luck. Have you thought to take a look at what Jimmy Carter did to our intelligence and counterterrorism in the late 70s? He practically dismantled our hub in Lebanon and pressured France and The UK to install the Ayatolla. And it was he, not Reagan who provided the first assistance($500mil)to Afghanistan which later became Taliban seed money. As a result several prominent terrorists to be who were previously scheduled to meet Allah a little early got to hang around for many years. Theres no telling how many lives that cost.

Iran successfully launched a satellite capable of earth orbit. They have also had success firing missiles capable of a nuclear payload which would be well suited for the creation of an EMP effect, which is more likely what the plan is, as opposed to landing one in a city. Why dig a small expensive hole when you can destroy all infrastructure for line of sight from low orbit? Same is likely for the US. I hope major US infrastructure such as water and urgent systems uses EMP proof wiring and circuitry but I highly doubt it.

Anyone with a pre 1970s Chevy hang on to it. Store some gas in handy containers above ground as well.
