Six trucks of explosives magically disappear in Yemen

It's magic! "Six trucks of explosives 'disappear' in Yemen," by Adrian Blomfield in the Telegraph, January 4 (thanks to Mackie):

Fears of a terrorist strike against Western embassies in Yemen have grown amid claims a convoy of lorries laden with explosives had been smuggled into the country's capital city, Sana'a.

In an apparently botched surveillance operation, militants driving six trucks filled with weapons and ordnance succeeded in giving security forces the slip as they entered the city, according to local media.

The revelations came as western diplomatic missions in Sana'a went into lockdown following threats from al-Qaeda's Yemeni affiliate, which has taken responsibility for a failed attempt to blow up an airliner over Detroit on Christmas Day....

I don't know why it is so difficult to keep track of explosives in Muslim countries!

Speaking of bombings.I have seen photos of the US embassy in
Yemen, and it's no wonder these buildings are easy targets.
The embassy is located right on a main thoroughfare. In this
age of multiple acts of Islamic terror,I would make sense that such a building would be located way back from the main road and with a specially constructed entrance to keep
local traffic at a distance.

Explosives distribution (Yemen):

Road building - 1 box; controlled demolition - 1 box; mining - 2 boxes; jihad - 9,996 boxes.

Why does anybody believe these press releases? Isn't it bleeping obvious "security forces" in Muslim countries are in cahoots with the "militants"?
