The lead investigator ought to be demoted for the content of this report...and Hasan's superiors who promoted him in spite of everything ought to be severely reprimanded if not honorably discharged.

...when pigs fly...

"...and Hasan's superiors who promoted him in spite of everything ought to be severely reprimanded if not honorably discharged."

How 'bout DIS-honorably discharged? Seems to me it should be "DIS" - 13 American soldiers died due to their idiotic political correctness.

It would have been the ideal time to make a stand.

Where are the likes of Patton and Churchill now we need them?

That 50 slide PowerPoint demo is not going to go away.

FT. Hood was devastating to the Islamists.

I hear you...my hedge was based on 2 premises;

1) Hasan's superiors didn't create the stultifying, politically-correct climate that was ultimately responsible for his flying under the radar

2) Reality being what it is, even an honorable discharge is too much to expect

PS - I suppose 'general discharge' was the status I wanted.

It does make one wonder how anyone can claim with a straight face that the U.S. military is "deliberately waging a war on Islam". Such denial and downplaying of Islam's role on the Pentagon's part is not how a true, opportunistic wager-of-war-on-Islam would act.

It amuses me how often islam promotes the war against 'unbelievers' (every Friday prayer, every mosque) and yet we are too scared to call our war a 'war against islam', which it is.

Until there is a level of honesty applied to this war we cannot possibly win or even hope for a draw.

I read the Time Magazine piece linked to above, and was surprised, although guardedly so, that it more or less reflected the same views as are expressed here - albeit using somewhat softened journalistic prose. Still, the main ideas were right. It actually went out on a limb and flatly stated, in regard to the lack of mention of Islam "But without a motive, there would have been no murder..." and then went on to implicate Islam on account of Hasan's deep Muslim faith.

Maybe a few flickers of recognition of what appears obvious to everyone else but them are starting to occur in some of the citizens of MSMville. Will now be on the lookout to see if this is a one-off, or if it signals the first stirrings of a broader trend in reporting truthfully about Muslim matters. In any case, I hope there are plans being made for senior members of the military responsible for producing this whitewash to "spend more time with their families."

OT - sorry.

Is it me, or has anyone else noticed that "Dilbert's" Elbonians are often striking close to some other retrografe group (that I won't name, but you get 3 guesses)???

The Fort Hood report is all the explaination needed to let anyone with a brain know how the shootings were able to happen. But it explains nothing? Exactly. The military culture of "head stuck in anus" regarding the religion of peace continues.

Well, the Americans r waking up - time for us Canadians to wake up as well.

Well, maybe a stretch (at the moment anyway, but in time he may prove he is truly worthy) to compare the guy to those 2 great Men who you mentioned, but Mr Wilders is being made an example of in the Dutch courts. Allah willing he will win his case and lead by example.

It is encouraging to see some in the MSM dealing with this issue. It is a disgrace that there isn't at least one, there should be many more, senator or congressman using their open speech time to blast this issue on C-SPAN and into the Congressional Record. They should be screaming at the top of their lungs, red-faced, really making a huge scene practically having to be carried out of the chambers. But no, silence, or maybe a very carefully worded statement vetted by their lawyers. There has to be someone in the military as well willing to risk it all to state the truth about Islam. Everyone is kicking the can down the road, everyone thinks that someone else in the future can do the hard work. But the time will come when it will be too late. Now is the time for our leaders to act. Islam has to be dealt with, it has to be excluded from the West. Business as usual is death for the West.

I hope the article above, and one put up yesterday by Robert Spencer on the same subject, is placed in the hands, not of staff members, but of Senators and representatives themselves, so that when they grill the Leaders Of Our Nation's Security Apparatus, they will have in front of them exactly what they need to know about that ludicrous, hollow, and essentially worthless report, with its ungrand and unacceptable silences.

Karl Kraus famously wrote that "Psychiatry is the disease for which it is supposed to be the cure."

The report, whose lead author is Togo D. West, Jr. (a quick review of his life and works suggests one of those bland mediocre company-men, a presentable retired general of the sort who gets put on the well-paid boards of directors of all sorts of companies, and who has likely never had an independent thought in his life, much less dared to express it), is – copying Kraus – part of the disease for which it is supposed to be the cure.

Togo D. West, Jr., I would guess, was named after a place: the country of Togo. Perhaps Togo D. West, Jr. would be interested in what, right now, is happening in the country, once majority Christian, of Togo.

In Togo, a country whose Christians are now living in great fear because Qaddafy has bought off the presdient (a dictator, who enjoys racing his Lamborghini, another present made possible by Qaddafy, over the 30 km. of paved roads in Togo), and the Muslims are building mosques everywhere, especially between churches (as a symbol of their power and might), and have cut down many trees around the mosques, under which Christians used to enjoy the shade. Now the Muslims have taken over the trees around the churches -- this comes to be in a report directly from a Togolese. Furthermore, Qaddafy has sent money to Togo to pay for sound-systems so that the muezzin's call can be magnified electronically throughout the city. Christians feel as though their country is being taken from them, thanks to Libyan and Saudi money, and a dictator who will take money from both.

Are the Americans watching this? Is, for example, General Togo D. West, Jr. (ret'd.) taking any note? I would guess not, any more than the Americans, with all their gigantic expenditures, have been monitoring the wahhabi takeover of mosques in Niger (a leading producer of uranium, as we all remember), or how Saudi money is now being sent to the Pomaks in northern Greece and Bulgaria. One wonders just what the Pentagon and the C.I.A. do with all of their information-gathering techniques.

If there is not a wing of the Pentagon, off-limits to Muslims, where one room is devoted to Black Africa, another to Western Europe, still a third to Southern and Central Europe, and others still devoted to other parts of the world, where all the information about Saudi and Libyan and other money, the takeover of academic departments, the bribes given to government officials, to journalists, to academics, the imams now paid with Saudi money, and all the reset of it - if this is not being done, more than eight years after the attacks of 9/11/2001, and nearly seven years since the two-trillion dollar folly, the Light-Unto-the-Muslim-Nations distraction, in Iraq began -- then everyone who has allowed such negligence should stop, think, re-think, and begin to carefully, coolly, soberly study the ideology of Islam, and look around the world, and get a grip. A much better grip than the political and media elites in North America and Western Europe have heretofore exhibited. They are being outrun by their own citizens, the very people whom they in government (and in the press) presume to protect and instruct -- but fewer and fewer are impressed with their efforts, inhibted and hobbled and even crippled as they are by a refusal to think clearly about the ideology of the Total Belief-System of Islam, and its effects on the minds of its adherents.

DoD and FBI former agents tell it like it is: they report about Islamic supremacism, after extensive study and their bosses don't want to know about it. Here's one extract from interview with one, that's on video and transcript at the link below:

Bill Whittle (PJ TV): So, you got out, you did this research, that you were tasked to do by the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Department of Defence, you come back and you say to them, “it’s the radicals that appear to have the doctrinal basis, not the moderates”.
Former Agent: That’s correct.
BW: Well, presumably this would be an interesting piece of information for our Department of Defense to have. What were the consequences of you coming back with this information?
FA: Shock! Because what my experience brought me back to was the complete unresponsiveness to facts, that as a practical matter they experience every day. I think, that gives way on a different level that has me believing or holding that, if you have no factual basis to hold a position, you have no professional basis to support it. If you’re professionals, then you have a duty to be competent. That includes the duty to know. If you are national security analysts who have a professional requirement to know, or you’re in breach of your oath to be competent, you’re in violation of your oath to protect and defend.
We’ve picked up our whole security apparatus and moved it from one that supported facts to one that supported beliefs....

As a retired Lieutenant Colonel, United states Army/Army Reserve, the results of this committee's report does not surprise me. Political correctness has shown its' ugly face again, and is the cause of this murderous rampage by the Muslim terrorist Nidel Hasan who considered himself a soldier of Allah.

When General Casey said he was worried about diversity in the command instead of the killing of thirteen American soldiers, and the wounding of forty more on United States soil, it demonstrates the problem in our military and our government. General Casey and the people who investigated and wrote this report should be Fired! Political correctness caused this tragedy!

John F. Kline Jr.
LTC. (ret.), MI, USA/USAR

"Political correctness caused this tragedy!"

That, and the Jihad doctrine in Islam.

political correctness kills..eventually .Political correctness in matters relating to islam kills immediately.

And that is two attacks on America on Obama's watch. And it's only his first year in office.
Say what you want GWB had no succesful attacks after 9/11.

"Togo West" is definitely a symbolic name. He wants to turn the West into Togo. The report says that there were no standards for reporting religious beliefs that were out of the "mainstream" yet the media reported that the doctors at Bethesda are going to be punished for not reporting Hasan. I would like to see the content of the emails Hasan sent Al-Alwacky made public.
