Al-Qaeda urges young Turks to wage jihad

"Suicide attacks are the best because they inflict the greatest damage on the enemy."

"Terrorism: Al-Qaeda 'urges young Turks to wage Jihad,'" from AKI, February 22 (thanks to Twostellas):

Dubai, 22 Feb. (AKI) - A video allegedly by Al-Qaeda's media arm features a young Turkish suicide bomber urging young Turks to follow his example. The video posted on Islamist websites on Monday traces the man's final journey to Afghanistan's eastern Khost province, where he is seen apparently carrying out a car bombing against a US military base.

The 22-minute video begins with the young suicide bomber, Muadh, preparing to travel to Afghanistan to carry out his deadly mission.

Later, the video captures his final moments, as he carries out a car bomb attack against a US military base. The video bears the logo of Al-Qaeda's As-Sahab media arm.

"Suicide attacks are the best because they inflict the greatest damage on the enemy," says Muadh, speaking in Turkish with Arabic subtitles.

"Didn't you see what happened on 11 September? It was an operation that changed the course of history.

"The financial cost and the human cost in terms of lives lost is still not known," Muadh says.

Note how he glories in death and destruction.

The video is entitled 'Suicide attack against the headquarters of US forces in Khost' and is the latest in a series of propaganda films by Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan called 'The killing of Crusaders and apostates in Afghanistan'....

Crusaders and apostates.

Noted!

Note that islam feeds on hate and violence.

Note that islam is a malignant spiritual cancer that feeds off its host and eventually kills the host.

Note that allah-cadabra is really Satan.

What's with this Young Turks theme that keeps coming up? Shouldn't the Old Turks be aked to participate too?

Yankel,

Correct on all points.

That is, of course, not our only problem.

How do we say to our fearles leader, Barry Hussein ...

"Pssssssssssssssssssssst, hey, Barry, after you waste all our guys'/gals' lives in Afghanistan, and kill lots and lots of Al-Qaeda/Taliban, take your pick, we still haven't done a damn thing about all these shariah ***holes who live next door to me in Dearbornistan." ... ?

Shouldn't the Old Turks be aked to participate too?...

Don't worry Hugh. I think these guys urge the jihad for more or less everybody, young and old alike. It's called dawa or something. They invite you to islam.

nabi ZK (pbum)

Evidently Islam doesn't want its young men to grow old..

Typical. Boring. TheY should just blow themsleves up without including any of us nonmuslims in the picture and be done with it already. Or if they like we can place Barbie dolls and all the symbols of us they want on a wall in the deserts of Arabia and they can bomb those all they want. All they want to do is see some gore, death, pain and destruction anyway right? Meet their virgins in their whatever place and be done with it. The faster their gone the better. (ouch I sound so bitter haha)

And the perennial political conflict re-surfaces in Turkey today.

The BBC report appears to sit on the fence politically (after all, it pushes for the Islamization of the European Union through Turkey's admission):

"Turkey top military figures* arrested over plot claims"

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8528512.stm

*(CNN puts the number at 40.)

This BBC report doesn't mention the name of ERDOGAN, the Prime Minister of Turkey. Perhaps the BBC does not want to remind us of this:

"The Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, publicly read an Islamic poem including the lines: 'The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and Muslims our soldiers'..."

I really wish the Western media would replace the word "martyr" that the Muslim bombers keep using, as well as the "suicide" in suicide bomber.

In English, "Martyr" refers to someone who chooses death over renouncing their faith or their god or their brethren. Basically, someone who would rather die than bear any false witness. But importantly, it means dying ALONE. The Islamic "martyr" never dies alone, and never dies as a consequence of refusing to renounce Islam or anything else, he dies as a byproduct of the true goal: murder. The "suicide" in these "operations" is, to Western eyes, far less important that the mass murder aspect.

I really wish Western commentators would start using "homocide bomber" or "mass-murder operation" for these incidents, it might make the notion less heroic and noble for prospective houris-seekers.

Thank you Thomas Pellow! Islamikaze is a fitting word.

This is just a rare incident. Turks don't have any sympathy for al-Qeada. There are more than thousand Turkish soldiers in Afghanistan so it would be absurd. There may be some uproar if Afghan civilians killed but Turks don't have any sympathy for Taliban or Al Qeada.

The main problem of Turkey is extreme nationalism. Turks usually hate Kurds, Armenians and Greeks. You may say, Turks killed them and stole their land, why would they hate them? Who do you think write the Turkish history textbooks? Do you think young Turks learn the truth in school? No. But thanks to the internet, we started to learn real history of Turkey. There are many initiatives in Turkey to teach the real history.

Sonsuz: I followed your links and pressed the "translate this page" button, since I know no more than three or for words of Turkish. I gather that the word "ermeniler" means "Armenians"? Some articles were not retrievable, and many seemed pretty garbled (I guess Google hasn't worked out Turkish-English translation kinks), but I was rather impressed by the archive your countrymen put together, and the seriousness with which your writers try to come to grips with what must be a very difficult issue for an "extremely nationalistic" people to deal with (we Americans have a number of issues with which we wrestle, too). I would urge many of the people here to try to access your link, too. It's a reminder that the ferment going on in the world is many sided, and that no culture has a monopoly on conscience. You have my ["fundamentalistic" Christian] prayers. How do you say "peace" in Turkish?

I've met two Turks who live locally. One guy is only Muslim by ancestry; he laughed hard and told me "My religion is making money; I don't believe in any of that bullshit." He was pretty shocked to see me reading the Quran at Starbuck's last week, and said "I've never read the Quran."
Both of these guys don't know ANYTHING about the Armenians. In fact, one told me that he was taught that it was the Armenians who were aggressors against the Turks. He first confronted the issue on a corner in a southern California town, where some Armenians, thinking he was one of them, shouted out something in their language, then began cursing at him when he identified himself as a Turk.

Allah is just the Arabic word for God. Jews and Christians from Arab countries used the word "Allah" for "God."

I own a Chassidic commentary on the Haggadah shel Pesach, printed in Boston, which contains the Arabic-language song "wachad man idrin" once sung by Chassidic rebbes in Old Jerusalem and which is a translation of "Echad ani yodea" which any Jew anywhere in the world is familiar with. It repeatedly says "Allah" in this song.

WHAT Muslims ascribe to Allah that is negative and damaging to al kufar, or what they project into Him, now, that's another issue, and I think that issue forms the crux of why we're all here.
