Over at Big Government, Pamela Geller discusses the U.S. government's willful blindness to the jihad:
They knew. Two years before the Fort Hood jihad massacre, the Army knew of jihadis in its ranks -- and did nothing.Investigative reporter Bill Gertz has revealed: "Almost two years before the deadly Fort Hood shooting by a radicalized Muslim officer, the U.S. Army was explicitly warned that jihadism -- Islamic holy war -- was a serious problem and threat to personnel in the U.S., according to participants at a major Army-sponsored conference."
Over 350 Army officials involved in counterterror efforts attended this February 2008 conference. One of the speakers, Lt. Colonel Joseph Myers, explains the topic of his lecture: "I noted that because of our lack of understanding of Islamic doctrines, Islamic Jihad and my view that our counterintelligence function is broken, outdated and being usurped in some cases by public affairs and equal opportunity officials, we were going to get soldiers killed in America, on our own bases for that professional ignorance."
And that's just what happened at Fort Hood.
What makes this so profoundly disturbing is that it shows that senior level officials knew. They were explicitly warned that jihadism -- Islamic holy war -- was a serious problem and a threat to military personnel and civilians alike. And still they did nothing. Not only did they do nothing, but they left known jihadis like Nidal Hasan, who murdered thirteen Americans at Fort Hood in his jihad attack of November 2009, in place and unsupervised.
They knew. And still they sacrificed Americans. [...]
This is surrender. And it isn't limited just to the Fort Hood report. Did you know in the FBI's Counter-Terrorism Manual, the word jihad is not to be found? Not once.
This is no accident. This is happening because for decades the Muslim Brotherhood (i.e., the Muslim American Society, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Islamic Society of North America, the Islamic Circle of North America, etc.), has infiltrated every agency and institution at the highest levels, and they control what is said and how it can be said.
Islam has achieved absolute intellectual dominance. The Muslim Brotherhood groups in the United States control the narrative. They control information and how it is processed at senior levels of the CIA, the FBI, the Pentagon, and the various branches of the military.
And so they knew about the jihadis in the ranks, and did nothing. Will the thirteen dead at Fort Hood move the American people to rise up and demand an end to the Muslim Brotherhood influence in our government? If that happens, they will not have died in vain.
If you're skeptical about the charge that Muslim Brotherhood groups "control information and how it is processed at senior levels of the CIA, the FBI, the Pentagon, and the various branches of the military," as you may be, since the relentless smear artist and libelblogger Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs has renewed his defamation campaign in connection with this piece, watch this video (and here is part two). They show a former Defense Department official and a former FBI agent blowing the whistle on the Muslim Brotherhood's infiltration of our government at the highest levels, and the Brotherhood's immense control over counterterror efforts. Transcript here.
Does Charles Johnson know that there isn't severe Muslim Brotherhood infiltration into the government? Of course not. He doesn't have a clue, and he ignores evidence such as is presented in the videos linked above. And so when he turns out to be wrong, he will bear a heavy responsibility for having misled his witless sycophants about the magnitude of the threat we were facing. But by then perhaps most of them will have awakened to the spectacular foolishness of following this tinhorn cult leader in the first place.
The reason why the West is willfully blind to Islam is explained by the First Law and Corollary of Majority/Minority Relations in Liberal Society.
The PJTV interviews were enough to send shivers down the spine. I'm a weekend drinker only, but after watching that, I'm popping a brew (or five or six).
I gathered five major points from watching the two interviews on PJTV. They are: 1) Islamic doctrine does not support so-called moderate Muslims and what they say about Islam; 2) Obama is a weakling; 3) The overwhelming number of government officials remain clueless about Mo's creed; 4) Much tragedy lies ahead here in America, courtesy of Islamic terrorism; 5) Islam itself is the ultimate enemy.
Hope you're well, Cornelius, and enjoying the very kind of drink Islam forbids. Catch you later, I'm sure.
Hey old buddy.
Your 5 points are dead-on.
Been thinking about myself, you, Graven, Dumbledores and the whole crew, wondering why we are the way we are. Many people are on to Islam, but they haven't made it an avocation like we have. For some reason, we can't let go of it.
I was recently accused by a friend of being obsessed over Islam...and I made no attempt to contest the point. My defense was that the source of my obsession was not based on irrationality (I once had a neighbor who bizarrely attributed all the world's ills to the British Royal family), but on a very real and present danger to human freedom and our physical security.
I'm convinced that we here at JW are exerting our intellectual energies on an absolutely worthy cause. I would only caution that we continue to smell the roses, live life to the fullest, and try not to become intellectually one-dimensional (as I sometimes feel I'm becoming).
Just some thoughts I wanted to share. Have a great night amigo. I'm in full partying mode, celebrating nothing in particular.
Well, you know the old line, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you. OK then, just because you're obsessed with Islam doesn't mean you shouldn't be. In fact, I would argue the real problem lies with those who are not concerned about Islam, which, of course, is the case with far too many people. But I also agree with you that enjoying life should remain a very high priority. Actually, doing so is one of the principal ways of giving the metaphorical finger to the world's biggest pain in the ass------Islam. Party on, my friend, and celebrate nothing in particular unless it be that existing as opposed to non-existing is an absolute marvel (preferably with a good beer in hand).
How could this happen? How could every agency that has protected our country for decades be infested with islamic moles, shackled by muslim liars and traitors posing as experts and intellectuals, and literally hogtied by political correctness? How?!
I worry incessantly about islam and the muslim invasion of our country, despite the fact that there aren't many muslims where I live. The mere sight of a lone, hijabbed muslima evokes contempt and sends chills down my spine. This intense emotional reaction to total strangers is completely new to me and I don't like it, but I can't seem to overcome it. When I see a muslim, I see my enemy.
We cannot fight them in our colleges and universities because they shout down our speakers and create chaos to silence them. We cannot fight them through our representatives because they are all too terrified of being accused of "islamophobia" or "racism". We cannot fight them in our public schools because they are full of left-wing relativists who are busy indoctrinating our children with Marxist, anti-American propaganda. We cannot fight them in the workplace because they are protected minorities. The only place we can disseminate the truth about muslims and islam is on the internet, but even the internet won't reach everyone.
What are we going to do? Several years ago, I went to over one hundred local churches and synagogues and left pamphlets and bumper stickers. Most were receptive, a few were not, but I know for a fact that many people read the brochures because several pastors called me and asked for more. It's up to us to warn those who do not know or understand because our government has embraced and enabled our enemy, empowered them with authority, and given them access to our most sensitive information. We can't depend on anyone but ourselves and I think we better get busy.
If everyone who comes to this site did nothing but print business sized cards with www.jihadwatch.org on them and discreetly left them in public places, that could start a chain reaction that would enlighten thousands. It's easy, cheap, and effective.

With you, Susanp. Everything you said also applies to me.
Just yesterday I gave Wafa Sultan's book as a b'day present to a friend (along with something else unrelated to the religion of hate).
And Cornelius - Just a week or two before 11/5, Ft. Hood, a family member also referred to me as "obsessed" by Islam and the Mohammedans. Then, Ft. Hood. Of course he said nothing to me about it except "Our president said don't jump to conclusions." So, you see how intelligent he is. He's a jerk, anyway.

Uh, yeah. Fighting the Muslims in the early 21st century is the same as fighting the Nazis in the 1930's and '40's. At present, there is no greater cause. And we must make haste due to the Muslims' over-populating demographics.
"Uh, yeah. Fighting the Muslims in the early 21st century is the same as fighting the Nazis in the 1930's and '40's. At present, there is no greater cause."
The parallels are just too similar.
"We cannot fight them in the workplace because they are protected minorities."
If we're very careful, we can fight them, one issue at a time, for whatever good that might do. Today I have the info on Geert Wilders, which I'm going to attempt to post at my workstation. I was politically correct, identifying the rabid Muhammedans in Fitna as "terrorists". And, yes, I have printed a few business cards with the Jihad Watch address, where my fellow employees might see the film.
The company is PC-crazed, but my supervisor is a decent person. At worst, I'll be asked to take the posting (two sheets of paper in plastic pockets) down. If no one asks for a card, I'll simply leave them in the breakroom. If the Union can leave political crap, in the breakroom, then so can I.
Yeah, Susan, that thumb we're under presses harder every day. I understand your visceral reactions, as I share them. Sometimes I get gastritis (no, really--I do) from the worry.
It sounds like you've been working hard. Hang in there, though. You have friends.
I feel we are kindred spirits and I sometimes actually feel paranoid to post here, since we all know "big brother" is watching! I also worry about the obvious plants, who advocate drastic/illegal types of solutions, that remind me too much of the "Final Solution", since they could be acting as bait. If you know what I mean.

i have been reading jihad watch for many years. thank you robert and company and all the posters here who have extended my knowledge with facts, as disturbing as those facts may be. i mostly just read here. i hardly post. most of you say what i think anyway, so my postings would be redundant.
i first ventured into the whole jihad mess awhile after 9/11. i wanted answers. when i still see video and pictures of that horrific day, i still get tears in my eyes. i cried on that day, not understanding why. i understand why now, thanks to this website and others that explain how muslims think and feel. now a days the tears that come to my eyes when i see the 9/11 videos and pictures are from more anger than, maybe, the tragic, non-understanding, confusion i had when it first happened.
when i first came to JW, i wanted unbiased, factual information. i didnt want to jump into the "i hate them crowd". i had no clue what i was getting into. back then, most of the posters where very optimistic, especially when they debated relentlessly about whether true moderate muslims existed. and we've debated about what the majority of "moderate" moslems feel too. over the years, we have come to this website, and others. we study, we learn. we see the horrible things muslims do on a daily basis and we have become more cynical, mor pessimistic. which is quite understandable. after the things we have read and seen so far that muslims have done, its only natural to feel this way. i've forced myself to look at beheading videos. they made me sick to my stomach (they still do). physically sick. but i needed to know the enemy.
i talk to everybody i can about jihad and what i've learned. i post stories on my facebook. my aim is to educate as many people as i can about jihad and why muslims do it. unfortunately, i'm not making much headway. people just dont seem to care. i never get comments on my facebook stories. i went through 2 girlfriends who think i am obsessed with islam and they refuse to get it, or even try to understand, regardless of how many facts i present to them. it seems like most Americans just dont care. i noticed there are some posters on here who say America is waking up. i hope they are right, but i just dont see that happening. i will never stop telling people what i know about islam, of course. i will never give up. sometimes its disheartening.
but i want to thank robert and company, hugh, and the posters here once again. you are all true patriots and you have the guts to stand up for what is right.
