Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Israel is terrified of the Lebanese resistance and people. The Iranian leader made the comment in a phone conversation with the Hizbullah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, ISNA reported on Thursday.
"The Zionists are really terrified of the resistance and people in Lebanon and the region," Ahmadinejad emphasized. "But they (the Israelis) are looking for opportunities to make up for their past defeats in Gaza and Lebanon as they feel their credibility and existence are in jeopardy."
However, the Iranian leader insisted, "They don't dare to do anything as they are afraid of the consequences."
Ahmadinejad underlined the need for maintaining readiness against any potential Israeli threats adding, "If the Zionist regime want to repeat the same mistakes they previously made, they must be gotten rid of once and for all, so that the region will be saved from their nuisance for ever."
President Ahmadinejad then reiterated that to this end, the Iranian nation will remain along the side of the Lebanese and other regional nations.
According to the report, the Hizbullah chief, for his part, said that Lebanon and the resistance movement are in favorable conditions. "We are not afraid of the Israeli threats and the Israeli threats will not work," Nasrallah said. "Strategically, Israel is not in a situation to wage a new war, but is after a psychological warfare with its threats... and of course, either way they will not get anywhere."

There is one thing we european freedom lovers are expecting from USA in this subject:
Send them a clear and strong message telling them that touching one part of israël with any kind of mass destruction weapon would imply such a retaliation that Iran would be immediatly wiped of the world.There is only one thing these totalitarians djihadist understand: military strength.
Any friendly pace in their direction is considered as weakness and therefore should be strictly prohibited.Any so called "accomodement raisonnable" with their demands should be strongly rejected.we are unfortunately confronted with that in France.And few among us seem to be aware of...
In any case free world must not allow any nuclear weapon in Iran as they will use it for sure. Those fanatics are longing for armageddon and what worked during cold war, terror equilibrium, will not work with such insane islamists.

Who said the Israelis made any mistakes, how about the mistake that Ahmadinejad is doing 24-7 right now when setting his goal is a nuclear weapon arsenal. He will push the button because he has God on his side who tells him that the Jews must be eradicated.

Let there be no mistake about it, the 2006 war with Lebanon was a game-changer for Israel. For the first time since Syria lost control of the Golan in 1967, destructive havoc was reigned down on Israeli cities from Arab territory. But unlike the mortar and artillery fire in the 50s and 60s that could only threaten Jewish communities in close proximity to the Golan, in 2006, Hezbollah rockets reached deep into Israel, repeatedly striking the major coastal, urban center of Haifa.
Today, we can assume Hezbollah's arsenal has been upgraded with rockets capable of reaching Tel Aviv and anywhere else in Israel. And we can also assume that Hezbollah is undeterred by Israel's capacity for destructive retaliation in response to a rocket campaign. Hezbollah will do the bidding of their Iranian masters, and Iran is unperturbed at the prospective destruction of Lebanon...in fact, it would welcome it for political reasons.
The next war is coming...and soon.
Should Israel under-react, allowing major destruction of its own cities and infrastructure without an overwhelming retaliatory razing of Lebanon, its populace will lose faith in the government's ability to provide security and significant Jewish emigration may result, jeopardizing the entire Zionist enterprise. But should the Israelis retaliate in a manner commensurate with its survival needs, i.e., the necessity to project adequate deterrence through destructive retaliation, we can anticipate a plethora of new Goldstone reports, new divestiture campaigns, and perhaps even a break between Israel and its American patron (particularly under the current Administration).
Israel - with all its military and technological might - today lives almost as precariously as it did before 1967. The Arab/Muslim goal is not destruction of the Jewish state in one fell swoop. It is rather using leverage on the "international community" to force Israel into fighting with one hand tied behind its back...so that the use of rockets to destroy Israeli cities becomes episodically normative...and increasing numbers of Israelis lose faith in the Zionist dream and pack up and leave.
The ultimate goal is to bring Israel to its knees...and compel the Jewish state into withdrawing from the West Bank in search of that elusive peace. Doing so will seal her fate.
And what mistakes would those be = Allmadinjihad? The fact that they just happen to be Jews? And when you terrorist bast**ds attack them they fight back and have won every single war you Arabs have started? Quit attacking them, leave them be, and they won't have to humble your worthless butts any longer.
Its just a matter of time, and Tehran will have to be nuked to shut you down, and what do you gain? A lot of good people will die, so they can kill you. It is refreshing to hear this point of view from your side of the water...I have been following what has been happening to the continent for years and frankly it scares me. I pray that your president is able to do something to turn it around. And by the way...I am afraid you are right, more parking lots are on their way to some oil wells in middle east.

So grotesque. It was Lebanon—along with Israel, of course—that was the brightest light of the Levant in the 1950s and '60s. Beirut was known as the "Paris of the Middle East".
When I first heard that term as a child in the 1970s, I thought it was a sarcastic joke-since what Beirut was known for by that point was bombed-out buildings and carnage.
What happened? Well, after Lebanon foolishly gave sanctuary to a large group of 'Palestinian' Arabs, they brought their sense of Muslim supremacy to the country that took them in, and launched a "civil war" against Lebanon's Christian population.
The idea that Hizb'allah now represents Lebanon's "resistance" against Israel could not be more twisted—since it is Hizb'allah that is continuing to weaken Lebanon's legitimate government, carving out an area of its own power, and using it as a launching pad of Jihad against Israel.
Hizb'allah is not "defending" Lebanon—it is destroying that nation, that previously stood as a guiding light in the region.
