Any sensible person must have by now realised, it's not a question of if, but when.

A possible sequence of events:

1) The Iranians assemble an A bomb.
2) Israel launches a all out pre-emptive strike involving her Jericho III ICBMS (non nuclear HE tipped) and completely wipes out all Iranian nuclear installations in a matter hours.

What will Iran do? Will she go to war against a nuclear armed country? Will she invade Iraq and drag NATO into the conflict? Will she choke the Straights of Hormuz to send oil prices sky high and try to tip us back into recession?

Any one of these scenarios seems suicidal for Iran, but given the nature of her leadership, its difficult to assess their reactions.

It's a bit disappointing. I think the strategy of this administration is quite clear. It is often said that humour is a great weapon. Clearly by making themselves the laughing stock of the free world the Obama administration intends to overwhelm Ahmadinejad through their own stupidity and incompetence.

By not showing a clear and united strategy the US has cornered Ahmadinejad who will have no idea what to respond to or how to respond. He must be a very worried man right now!

We only have four days left before Ahmadinijad's promise of something special on Feb 11...I can hardly wait...

I don't share in that ascribed "hate for the Obama Administration." It's more a case of pity and fury. Pity, for those who in that Adminstration who are in over their heads, and don't seem able even to recognize what it they must find out about Islam in order to effectively defend this country, and its natural and unshakeable allies (Canada, the countries of Europe, Israel, Australia, New Zealand)) that share the same civilization, and other countries farther afield civilizationally, that are nonetheless threatened, from within or without, by some of the same enemies (India, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, the Philipines), and in that last category one would add those countries that, while they recognize a domestic threat from some Muslims, are not yet willing to connect the dots to Jihad worldwide (Russia, China) or to make common and heartfelt cause, on this matter, with a confused and tentative West.

Fury, of course, over how much squandering of men, money, materiel, and morale (civilian and military) continues to go on, and how little is being done, it seems, to recognize the things that have the highest priority -- keeping any further acquisition of weapons of mass destruction by any Muslim state or group, and halting and then reversing the Muslim presence within the historic heart of the West, the naively-open and too-generous and insufficiently vigilant countries of Western Europe -- and then all the things that can be done if

1) we recognize, and exploit, the pre-existing fissures within the Camp of Islam, and especially emphasize, for the 80% of the world's Muslims who are not Arabs, that Islam is, has been, always will be, a vehicle for Arab supremacism and

2) understand just what the connnection is between the political, economic, social, intellectual, and moral failures of Muslim polities and peoples, and Islam itself.

Neither is difficult to do. For JW participants it is a waste of time to write about the unprecedented danger the world faces, existential and otherwise, and not just Israel, form the proliferation of nuclear weapon within the radical (redundant) islamic sphere.
Yes we are living at the proverbial tipping point in history where the road ahead diverges, one ascending upwards and forward the other plunging into an irreversible spiral of darkness for perpetuity.
If Obama remains consistent he will fail America’s and the World’s future by allowing his sympathy of the adversary to override his principle responsibility to ensure the security of the American people.
Even when the next administration comes to the rescue, the options left for them will involve a more entrenched enemy a significantly greater sacrifice and effort on our part to remedy the problem.
Something not mentioned is the essential step that unless the top leadership is destroyed along with the promise of depriving them indefinitely of these weapons lasting peace will not be achieved.
Thus the following two items are necessary to achieve success, , and not just for the next few years
1) Destruction of their nuclear, WMD’s capabilities post haste.
Now and in the future immediately if they persist with these efforts.
2) Decapitation of their leadership or forced cave isolation ala bin laden.
A bomb in their bedroom will awaken greater lucidity than the distant destruction of an inanimate edifice. Item two is the key.
You have to not only destroy the weapon but more importantly you have to extinguish those who are ready to kill you. Rain fire on the bastard lunatics of Tehran, and any leader who will kill you the first opportunity they get.
If item number two is done to them where they sleep, peace will be extended until a generation forgets the consequences of attempted genocide

I recall the Hitler or some Nazi insider later said that if the Allies had confronted them then and there, they (the Nazis) would have had to go back, humiliated with their tail between their legs. Let's see, now, we have

1. Uranium enrichment boosted from 5% to 20%, on a clear trajectory toward reaching the 85% needed for weapons grade; weaponization (bundling into a small package, such as a warhead, suitable for delivery) likely following close behind.

2. Intermediate range ballistic missiles already tested and ready to go for delivering said warheads.

3. Belligerent Iranian leaders who regularly and publicly describe their intentions for using such weapons as soon as they get them.

4. Russia providing advanced ground-to-air defense technology to Iran to allow itself to protect against any possible disruptions to 1. and 2. above.

5. Western leaders unable to grasp the theoretical foundations underlying Iranian aggression, instead employing inappropriate, and discredited, Marxist theories to fashion ineffective economic half-measures whose effectiveness, such as they are, relies on the endorsement by a United Nations where Islamic obstructionism is the rule.

6. China silently waiting in the wings, fashioning plans about how best to benefit from the economic chaos that would follow an explosion in the Middle East that would topple the existing U.S. led world order.

So, is there anything about this that suggests a perfect storm is brewing? Hmmm .... Naw, nothing to worry about here ... Let's have another beer.

With a few exceptions, every Iranian nuclear installation is buried deep underground under a mountain. A Jericho will not take it out. A sustained air campaign is needed hitting the same spot again and again. Moreover, a large aerial armada of fighter-bombers will be needed to totally destroy Iran's Air Force, followed by an airlift of commandos aboard transport planes, so they actually storm nuclear sites and command-and-control centers. The biggest obstacle to such a campaign is ... the United States of America.

It is terrifying to watch this unfolding, and to have very little idea of what one can possibly do, personally, as an individual citizen, to avert absolute disaster.

My own country, Australia, can - practically speaking, as a small to medium range power with no real global reach - do nothing much. Our current government abandoned the idea of trying to arraign Ahmadinejad at the Hague on a charge of incitement to genocide. I did my best to try to inform the PM *and* the Opposition leader as to the impeccably mainstream Islamic sources of Ahmadinejad's venomous antisemitism, and to warn them that all his threats against Israel must be taken absolutely seriously, but I don't think it made even a dent.

I am forced, therefore, to watch, and to pray, and to try to hope beyond hope.

Pursuant to my posting above: about the best advice I can give to my fellow Australian jihadwatchers, both lurkers and posters, re this matter, is to make a concentrated effort to educate our sitting MPs, both state and federal, about Islamic antisemitism; the fact that it is hardwired into the core texts of Islam.

Somehow, we have to keep at our politicians, at them and at them, telling them over and over that the entire Muslim world, because of its Islamic 'programming', really, really wants to destroy Israel, and will try to do so the minute it (the Ummah) has sufficient power to do so; and that the assault on Israel, not just by the local Arab Muslims but by all Muslims - after all, Ahmadinejad is not an Arab but a Persian - is just one part of a global Jihad against *all* non-Muslims. That *nothing* Israel does, short of total surrender and self-dissolution, would ever do; and that even if the Jews of Israel agreed to the dismantling of their state and submitted to the near-slave dhimmi status that many of their ancestors endured for 1400 years inside dar al Islam, this would not end Muslim hatred of Jews nor make Muslims any less inclined to bully, harass, slander, rape, kidnap, enslave, rob and murder Jews whenever they, the Muslims, felt like so doing.

We also have to keep telling our politicians that *every time* another Mohammedan 'migrant' or 'asylum seeker' steps onto Australian soil, the likelihood that our Jewish Australian fellow citizens will suffer a jihadist attack (an attack motivated directly by the Jew-hatred explicitly taught by the Islamic texts), increases perceptibly. We are *endangering our Jewish fellow citizens* unnecessarily and recklessly and indeed cruelly, by permitting the Mohammedan colonies within Australia to grow, and grow, and grow.

If we want to keep antisemitism in Australia at a manageable level, the simplest and quickest way to achieve that, is to stop any further immigration of Muslims into Australia!

And as regards the international scene, perhaps the best thing Australia can do is to resolutely vote NO to every 'let's hate Israel' resolution that the OIC nations try to ram through the General Assembly. We Aussie jihadwatchers have to screw up the courage to tell our politicians, and keep on telling them, that if Israel does, in utter desperation, strike Iran in self-defence (and we will have already told those politicians why such a strike is completely justified), then...supposing per miraculum that things don't escalate into World War IV, but remain at the yelling and stamping stage, Australia must stand in the UN as a friend of Israel, *no matter what anyone else does*.

It would be good, too, if we could find the guts to shift our embassy in Israel, from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and loudly announce that we henceforward recognise an undivided Jerusalem as the permanent spiritual and political and national capital of the Jewish state of Israel. Let's tell our politicians that we - and most of us are non-Jews - are prepared to vote for the first political party that a. puts this move on its platform and b. follows through and actually *does it*.

I suggest to Canadians and New Zealanders here present that you do your best along the same lines, with your own politicians.
