Italy's Berlusconi compares Ahmadinejad to Hitler

Silvio!

If only we had a politician in America who was this honest and forthright. "During visit, Berlusconi draws parallel between Ahmadinejad and Hitler," by Nir Hasson for Haaretz, February 2 (thanks to Pamela):

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi drew a connecting line yesterday between his visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem, the Iranian nuclear program, and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's denial of the Holocaust and calls for Israel's destruction.

"We must watch out," the visiting premier said. "We've already had one such madman in history."

Berlusconi also said his great dream is for Israel to join the European Union.

Speaking at a welcoming ceremony hosted by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shortly after his arrival in Israel, the Italian leader said he would like to his visit produce "a shared commitment to work together for the future."

"I hope that all of us together can look forward to a future of prosperity, and mostly of peace for your people, whose existence is still doubted by someone whom we all wish to oppose," he added.

And by some who should be opposed more energetically than they are.

In response to the Italian leader's statement, Netanyahu said that "Rome and Jerusalem laid the foundations of Western civilization. Thus it is important for Italy and Israel to stand beside each other, determined to defend our future and our cultures."...

Hmm. Well if Ahmadinejad is Hitler, what would be his Mein Kampf? Any opinion, Mr. Wilders?

Bravissimo, Signor Berlusconi! Evviva la bell'Italia!

Sure wish our erstwhile and fearless (feckless) leadership was possessed of the same level of forthrightness as the Prime Minister.

Bravo, Silvio! Tell them where they can put that statue while you're at it!

Why the Koran of course, for what other tome comes equals or surpasses Mein Kampf in terms of hatred and violence.

"Berlusconi also said his great dream is for Israel to join the European Union."

Hurray! Someone of substance over there supports this idea, which has been discussed and generally approved of on this blog on numerous occasions. But, I wonder how an application to join the E.U. would fare realistically. Don't all the existing nations have to approve of new members joining? If so, it would only take a single veto, by any member who is significantly under the sway of either entisemitism (old problem) or Islam (which as far as Jews go, is an even older problem), to block entry. In spite of these hurdles to Israel's joining the E.U., it would be worth mounting an effort induct it in the union, if only to smoke the antisemites, of whatever stripe, out of the woodpile.

Israel should also be invited to join NATO.

Viva Silvio!
Evviva Italia!
Can we swap leaders with Italy?!
We did not have to. We had our own awesome Italian, an even better one, just 2 years ago.
The horrible blunder by the Republican primary voters who swiftly ditched the true American hero Rudy Giuliani in favor of the Insane McCain and Rev. HolyBee (the totally unqualified Mike Huckabee, the record-holder among American governors in mass-pardoning of robbers, rapists and murderers) had altered the destiny of our country for the worse and put it in great peril as the mad suicidal-homicidal-genocidal Islamo-Nazis are about to get their hands on the ultimate bomb.

Votes against minarets, proposed bans on burkas, now the truth from Silvio that Islam is evil!(I'm extrapolating a bit, of course.) Perhaps Europe is finding its backbone!

Netanyahu said that "Rome and Jerusalem laid the foundations of Western civilization.

Pretty good for a political critter.

That would actually be Jerusalem, Athens and Rome.

The Bible, Aristotle and Roman law at the core of it. With much else that came out of those cities.

But he's basically got it right.

May heaven shower it's favor on Berlusconi. He's certainly seen his share of trouble.

You see , believers of the koran, it's not just JW, 911 victims, those aware of islamic History rape and pillage, "The Jews', or Mr.Wilders, it is also a president.
Snap out of your 1400 year trance before it is too late.
Burn your hate filled manual, or simply stay in the lands long invaded by earlier crazed mohamedans. Your terror manual is your passport back. Goodbye, good riddance.

Ayatollah Khomeinis book "Islamic Government" is often compared to "Mein Kampf":

Not sure about this anymore. Since the Lisbon treaty became law, the EU commission can do virtually anything it likes. There could also be stuff in the Lisbon treaty which no one has seen.

Netanyahu said that "Rome and Jerusalem laid the foundations of Western civilization.

This wont go down well with all the Lefties in Italy -and they can be very violent.

Silvio may skirt at the edges of morality and ethics but you gotta love hime...he's not one of those slimy politicians who is sickeningly politically correct. He speaks his mind loudly and with clarity and let's the chips fall where they lie.

Caro Silvio,

Da un Italiano a un Italiano io ti saluto e ti reccomando a continuare alla strada di Oriana Fallaci.

The Cycling Tuscan

Bravo Silvio. How's the nose?

Propaganda Due, Licio Gelli, Michele Sendona, strategy of tension, defending Mussolini.

Strange bedfellows indeed.

Hugh, please tell me you don't admire Silvio.

I don't think Israel should ever join the EU. As nice as that sounds from the European perspective, the reality is that Israel would be overwhelmed by Islamic migration which is precisely what the Jihadists want.

I am surprised Berlisconi would even suggest it. To me it indicates he doesn't understand what Israel is up against.

Bravo, Silvio. Glad someone in public office has some "gatz" of the right kind.
