An Indonesian Islamist nicknamed the "Prince of Jihad" will face trial accused of raising funds for last year's Jakarta hotel attacks but prosecutors admit they may struggle to convict him.Prosecutors will allege Mohammed Jibril was linked to terrorist Saifuddin Jaelani, also known as Saifuddin Zuhri, one of the chief planners of the July 17 bombings on the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels that killed seven, including three Australians.
They will allege Jaelani received funds from a retired Saudi teacher named Al Khelaw Ali Abdullah which he passed on to Jibril to open an internet cafe in 2008.
"From this internet cafe they could generate some more money as well as using it as a way to communicate their views to the outside world," prosecutor Totok Bambang told AAP ahead of next week's trial.
Before the attacks Jibril, 25, was well-known for publishing a popular radical Islamist website and a glossy magazine called Jihadmagz.
He is the son of prominent radical cleric Abu Jibril, a former student of Abu Bakar Bashir, the spiritual leader of Jemaah Islamiah (JI), the group responsible for the 2002 Bali bombings....

And can we be so narrow as to just refer to jihad as a holy struggle---how moronic, and simple can we possibly be about the determinations of the dar al harb of which we are all confronting Mr. Brennan?
Here are just a few of the forms that jihad can take, no doubt you can think of others:
BOMBING JIHAD - The objective is not only to cause death and destruction, but also to force the kuffars to waste vast amounts of money and military manpower on security , thus furthering the Economic Jihad.
CENSORSHIP JIHAD - The Islamic belief system is primitive, tribal and illogical and cannot withstand the light of rational analysis. All criticism of Islam must be shut down especially within universities.
CONTAMINATION JIHAD - Jihadists contaminate food to be served to kuffars with their faeces and urine
CORRUPTION JIHAD - The objective is to undermine kuffar public confidence in institutions such as the police , medical profession and immigration service.
DEMOGRAPHIC JIHAD - The objective is for Muslims to gain power by breeding faster than other sections of the population. Muslim women are breeding machines who produce vast numbers of children, and now that polygamy has been legalised Muslim men are free to import up to four wives each.
EDUCATIONAL JIHAD - Muslims are seeking gradually to remove non-Islamic subjects from the school curriculum and to Islamify schools by introducing Muslim observances and revisions of history.
ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL JIHAD - The objective is to weaken the economies of kuffar nations and if possible get control of their major assets. Sharia finance requires kuffars to mortgage their countries' infrastructure to Muslims.
HUMILIATION JIHAD - Islam is a culture obsessed with honor/shame and domination/subjugation. Islam will therefore look for any opportunity to degrade and humiliate the kuffars, such as the popular 'jihad-snuff videos' where kuffars are made to beg for their lives and then ritually slaughtered anyway.
IMMIGRATION JIHAD - Muslims are illegally swarming into Western Europe. Once established they bring in their very extended families by 'chain-migration' so that before you know it one Muslim has brought in his entire village.
INFILTRATION JIHAD - Similar to Corruption Jihad except that the objective is to infiltrate institutions in order to make them useful to Muslims.
INTIMIDATION JIHAD - Muslims are quick to take offence at the slightest provovation, even something so trivial as an ice cream wrapper. This makes the kuffar eager to appease their demands to avoid trouble. Of course appeasement only gives rise to further demands - give an inch and they'll take a mile.
LITIGATION JIHAD - Offended Muslims are very keen to sue kuffars on the slightest pretext. The objective is not necessarily to win the case but to harass the kuffars and force them to spend vast amounts of money on their legal defence, eg the security-probing
Flying Imams who sued the passengers who reported their suspicious behaviour to the authorities, the
hijab-wearing Muslima who didn't get the hairdressing job and Mark Steyn sued in a Canadian kangaroo court for telling the truth about Islam.
NARCO JIHAD - Muslims are the major suppliers of heroin. This trade supplies funding for jihad and helps destroy kuffar society. The drugs are also used to lure kuffar children into Islamic paedophile rings.
SEXUAL JIHAD - Rape and paedophilia are and always have been essential weapons in jihad. Kuffar women and children are booty to be enjoyed by their conquerors. Paedophile abductions of kuffar children by Muslim pimps have become commonplace.
STREET JIHAD - Young kuffar boys, usually alone or in small groups, are set upon and viciously attacked by much larger groups of older youths and men. These crimes are usually hushed up by the media eg Kriss Donald castrated, blinded and burned alive; Henry Webster skull smashed in three places and permanently brain-damaged, and many more only reported in the local press. .
We need to face the truth Mr. Brennan, and don't tell us we can't handle the truth!
That's a lot of jihads, but only too true. Wonder what John Brennan would say were he confronted with this list. Say it isn't so? Say it was composed by an Islamophobe?
Don't know and also don't know what Brennan's comprehension of Islam is (probably not much, though this is by no means a certainty). I'm very much inclined to the view that he, like so many others, has made wishing Islam is a good religion into Islam being a good religion. Bet also that if directly confronted with Islam's many built-in pathologies he would respond with tu quoque assessments to the effect that all religions have disturbing statements in their holy writings and leave it at that. In other words, willful blindness.

"Last month, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and her senior staff privately met in Washington, D.C., with a select group of Muslim, Arab, and Sikh organizations. Among the mix were three organizations directly associated with an outlawed terrorist entity — the Muslim Brotherhood.
Secretary Napolitano spent an hour and a half briefing them on Department of Homeland Security (DHS) counter-radicalization and anti-terrorist programs. The intensive briefings spanned two days (January 27 and 28) and were called by the DHS.
Although there is no evidence of an exchange of classified information, this meeting was the beginning of an Obama administration program aimed at devising a new information-sharing framework with the Muslim organizations — some of them regarded as extremist because of their ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. The group is to meet regularly with DHS senior aides and with Napolitano. This program was imported from the United Kingdom. The Obama administration has decided to replicate the UK program to win over Muslims and to get them to collaborate with the federal government.
Although Matthew Chandler, deputy press secretary and spokesman for Secretary Napolitano, refused to comment on the meetings or identify the groups that attended the two-day session, Pajamas Media has learned the identities of a number of the participants and interviewed them — including those linked to the Muslim Brotherhood.
The program requires bringing in Muslim groups as “partners” in a two-way information sharing program.
Walid Phares, director of the Future Terrorism Project at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, criticized the partnership concept:
“Through the so-called ‘partnership’ between the Jihadi-sympathizer networks and U.S. bureaucracies, the U.S. government is invaded by militant groups.” He warned that this policy embraced by the Obama administration “is how American national security policy has been influenced” by Muslim groups, who are duping administration officials.
A former U.S. intelligence officer told PJM:
The “counter-radicalization” program is something that the other side created for us. … It initially started in Britain. The Muslim Brotherhood groups suggested it. We went over there and got it. We thought it was a great idea and now we’re using it. It’s the enemy giving us a way to destroy ourselves.
The Muslim Brotherhood is the ideological foundation for today’s terrorist organizations in the Islamic world. Founded in 1928, it is the oldest Islamic fundamentalist political group in modern times. Originally called the Society of the Muslim Brothers, today it is a hardcore supporter of Hamas and Hezbollah and considered the inspirational “father” of al-Qaeda itself.
In 1981, Islamic radicals connected with the Muslim Brotherhood assassinated Egyptian President Anwar Sadat after he signed a peace treaty with Israel. Just this month, Egyptian authorities arrested 13 members of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Since the early 1990s the Muslim Brotherhood has created a network of Muslim-American front groups that operate as “moderate” in the United States. At least three of the groups that met with Secretary Napolitano have been identified by intelligence officials and congressional sources as those that have ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
One of the groups meeting with Secretary Napolitano was the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), which was created by members of the Muslim Brotherhood. ISNA was named in 2007 by the U.S. Department of Justice as an unindicted co-conspirator in a federal terror trial. The group was identified as a major financier of overseas Islamic terrorist organizations, particularly Hamas.
Ingrid Mattson, ISNA’s president, attended the Napolitano meeting. Mattson has been described by the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) as a Muslim leader who “has an established pattern of minimizing the nature of extremist forms of Islam and rationalizing the actions of Islamist terrorist movements.”
Another Muslim leader from the meeting was Salam al-Marayati, the executive director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC). MPAC has a long history of defending terrorist acts. Al-Marayati repeatedly defended the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, the Muslim “charity” which was convicted of nine federal criminal counts and in 2001 was identified by the U.S. Treasury Department as a “Specially Designated Terrorist.”
In a 1999 PBS interview, al-Marayati called Hezbollah attacks on Israel “legitimate resistance.”
Obamus Carterus, Brennan, Biden and Napolitano have now fallen behind even Muslim Indonesia in their anti-terrorism credentiials. They won't even speak jihad's name. And Napolitano even refuses to use the word "terrorist". Meanwhile, Iran is on the brink of unleashing Global Nuclear Jihad, a foreighn Muslim terrorist came close of blowing an airliner out of the sky over Detroit, and a suicidal non-Muslim domestic terrorist, taking a page from the Muslims, took out a US government building in a kamikaze attack just this morning.
