The "telling blow to global powers" is very likely the explosion of a nuclear device.
The IAEA and Mohammed El-Baredei, Nobel Peace Prize winner, have of course repeatedly certified that Iran is weapons free and there's nothing really to worry about. And IAEA is of course the final authority on these matters, so they must be right. If Iran does carry out the nuclear explosion, there is no way to punish El-Baradei for misleading the world and giving time to Iran to develop nuclear capability. Firing him is not a punishment.

These fools will explode something akin to what the North Korans did a few years ago. As you recall it was almost nothing. It was about 1/10 the power of our first test and was quickly realized that they had no delivery system. So, it was almost a none event.
Some even speculate that the N. Korans fudged by blowing up several tons of regular explosives to enhance the effect. I would not put that past the wannabees. Less the nuclear part. Remember war is deceit.

Unfortunately Iran fired a somewhat sophisticated rocket today. Their technology is improving, as does most technology when trial and error is allowed to go on unabated. All one has to do is look at our rocket development during the 1960's to see quantum leaps in rocket improvement.
Our universities are filled with Iranians, Pakistanis, Saudis, Palestinians, and other students from Muslim nations, most of which study engineering.
If 1% of them are closet Jihadists we are in big trouble.
Does the West really believe another Muslim nation, besides Pakistan, will be unable to produce a nuclear weapon within 2-3 years??

Many, if not most historians, agree that human history is rife with conflict and war. The victors of these conflicts are inevitably decided by who has the better weapons,(troops are considered weapons) either at the onset of the conflict, or developed (recruited, conscripted) during the conflict.
The Islamic fundamentalists have been fighting a ideological conflict since the 12th century, they will not give up!!!

Ice Star--everything you said is extremely accurate. Islam does create a ritualized Obssessive-Compulsive anxiety--I was raised a Muslim (but left!) and I remember that anxiety well. Even though I am no longer a Muslim I can still feel the symptoms of OCD at times...:(

If something is going to happen on 2/11, it won't happen here in America. Too many of the regular people are more vigilant than the authorities, TSA agents, flight school teachers. Think of how America can be brought down financially. Always follow the money. Money is king. How can they screw us that way?
