Nothing surprising in what these children were saying: we have seen adult Muslims saying similar things many, many times over the years here at Jihad Watch. Nor is there anything very surprising in the fact that in Absurd Britannia today it is this teacher who suffers for reporting this, while the students aren't disciplined in any way -- nor is there any scrutiny of what is going on in their communities that led them to make these statements.

'Some children were expressing delight at the death and killing of people of other cultures and religions: In the last week of November 2006 a child was talking about stabbing another child and I told him this was dangerous talk and that a lawyer had recently been stabbed by teenagers; his reply was:, "I'm glad that man died", 'Why?' I asked. "Because he's a Christian and English and we're Muslim".'
During a religious education lesson about Jonah and the whale, he claims one of the pupils asked if Jonah was a Jew, before shouting: 'I hate the Jews, they're our enemies.'
Mr Kafouris said he again tried to speak to the headteacher about it.He said: 'The head's response was hostile and offensive again. The very first thing she said to me was: "Oh you again! You're the only teacher that reports these things! Nobody else does!".

I mean who in his right mind would not take these kids seriously with this kind of attitude. Are we sure about the teacher's intentions and motives? As much as I would've loved pointing fingers at Islam but aren't we exaggerating just a tad? I know that Britain is turning into a dhimmi state but come on!!! It doesn’t make sense! His headteacher needs to read her government documentation on the Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL).

Maybe the reason that this teacher was the only one that was complaining is that the others knew that their complaints would only fall on deaf ears. Because no one complains doesn't mean it isn't happening. If the headteacher really wanted to know what was going on in the school, she would have reached out to the other teachers instead of dismissing Mr. Kafouris. The fact that she didn't speaks volumes. Mr. Kafouris should take this a few steps further and try to get her dismissed.
It just gets worse. The school's recent UK government inspection report (OFSTED) states that "Pupils understand and share the school's values, including respect for others and a commitment to racial equality".

Politically correct or just inaccurate?
Muslim anti-Semitism is blamed on Israel and is excused as a sympathetic reaction of muslims worldwide for the "plight" of their brothers in Palestine. "Progressives" like George Galloway and his friends on the left conclude from this that if there were no Israel, there would be no anti-Semitism and thus spend their time demonising and vilifying this small country and its people. Smart people like us know that actual hatred of Jewish people in muslims date back to mohammad and his repugnant outpourings at them when, not being taken in by his murdering cult, they refused to convert.

Tower Hamlets used to be part of the Cockney East End—now it has a large population of Bangladeshis, Pakistanis, and now Somalis, and is largely Muslim. I agree with other posters here that this is in many ways the most chilling aspect of all—but also not a surprise. Notice the headteacher didn't actually claim that what he reported wasn't true, or that other teachers didn't have these problems with their students, but merely that no other teacher had the temerity to report such things.

gravenimage's description of the neighborhood which this school services makes me wonder if this Christian teacher wasn't one of those starry-eyed bleeding heart liberals who thought he could help "poor Muslim children" -- for why was he in a school full of them, and being the only Christian teacher there? If so, now perhaps his mind is a little more open to the ugly reality (though knowing PC MCs, there are always mental ways around that ugly reality -- "these kids only represent a tiny minority, most Muslims are decent people" or "these kids are just acting out their frustrations at their lives of poverty and disadvantage and racist prejudice they have to suffer from their surrounding English society" etc.).

The following is an adumbration of points that illuminate the PC MC madness of the dogma of anti-racism, as illustrated in this case. As the reader will note, not every point in this adumbration is madness -- which is how and why PC MC has been successful in achieving mainstream dominance. Points that are not in the PC MC framework but which express sanity from a point of view outside that framework will be denoted by square brackets and by being italicized. The first point falls both inside the framework, and outside it, as generally accepted as a good principle though without the obsessive-compulsive twists we notice lurking in (a) and then becoming more visible in (b).
1) Racism is terrible and must be avoided at all costs.
a) Racism is terrible because unless it is stopped at its source, it leads to horrible mistreatment of ethnic minorities, from discrimination and the emotional trauma of insults, to lynch mobs, rounding up, abuse by police, internment in camps, and ultimately ethnic cleansing and genocide.
b) Racism must be avoided at all costs -- by stopping it at its source: thus, laws must be enacted to prevent people from promulgating ideas that promote racism (e.g., cf. the perfectly legitimate (if not direly necessary) -- in terms of this framework -- trial against Geert Wilders). Indeed, for the PC MC, even stopping racism at the level of laws and politics is not going back far enough to the source: thus, PC MCs even suppress in their own minds anything they fear might lead to bigotry and racism.
2. Racism is only, and always, unilateral: it only flows in one direction: only Western whites can be racists, and only people perceived to be ethnic may be the victims of Western white racism.

After 911, Muslims have become the Ethnic People par excellence in this framework, such that if a conflict arises where Muslims are the perpetrators and another ethnic people are the victims (Egyptian Copts, Buddhist Thais, Catholic Filippinos, Christian or pagan Malays, Hindu Indians, etc.), the other ethnic people are usually thrown under the bus to placate the Muslim. These other ethnic people are, in effect, "Honorary Whites" in this framework, for they are impaired in the same way by the points of this adumbration as are white Westernerns. (Thus, the Greek Cypriot teacher in this case might physiognomically look like a Brown Person and would otherwise be granted extra deference and privileges for that congenital fact by the typical PC MC white Westerner; but in this case where he comes up against Muslims, the PC MC white Westerner must throw Mr. Kafouris under the bus. I.e., were the pupils in this case white kids who had maligned Mr. Kafouris with BNP-style epithets (e.g., "You're an oily Greek, you're not a white, you don't belong in England!" etc.), then there is no doubt in my mind that the headteacher Jill Hankey would have punished those pupils in an Old York minute and would never have sacked Mr. Kafouris.)
[4. In fact, however:
a) Western whites for the past half century -- and only increasing exponentially with each passing decade -- have been bending over backwards anxiously trying NOT to be racist against any and all peoples perceived to be ethnic, and indeed the 20th and 21st century West is the least racist and the least tribalist civilization not only in the world today but throughout the history of the world;
meanwhile:
b) it is non-Western non-whites -- and most especially Muslims -- who show the most racism, both against whites and against other ethnic peoples of various flavors who don't happen to belong to their particular tribal subset.]
Thus, we have the insanely Alice-in-Wonderland situation in the PC MC West where Westerners consider themselves to be the only racists and do everything they can -- culturally, socially, politically and legally -- to suppress their own innate potential toward racism; meanwhile, the real racists (most especially Muslims, but to a noticeable degree also blacks and other ethnic peoples) are not only forgiven their racism: their racism is completely expunged by the anxious PC MC Westerners out of existence.
There is a logic to explain why PC MC Westerners indulge in this madness: It involves points #1-#3 above. In their anxiety to protect society from the implications of #1-#3, PC MCs know -- albeit only semi-consciously -- that if they allowed themselves to notice the racism of ethnic peoples (and most especially of Muslims, the Ethnic People par excellence today), this would logically trigger negative thoughts & feelings against those ethnic peoples, and then these negative thoughts & feelings (cf., point 1(b) above) would logically arouse in the white Westerner ideas of bigotry and racism which are naturally -- and uniquely -- innate in the white Westerners; and from these feelings and then ideas, the white Westerner would have no choice but to go down the slippery slope that leads to lynching Brown People and then genociding them.

Excellent point by Robert Spencer. Some years ago, I taught GED classes to high school dropouts. Most of the students had actually *been sentenced to the classes by Juvenile Court* as a point of their probation. Most of these kids didn't really want to be there.
After awhile, I could tell which instructor had the class before mine by the behavior of the students—if it was the more disciplined instructor, the kids were fairly quiet and at least vaguely attentive. If it was the lax instructor, the kids were chatting on their cell phones, talking to each other, out at the vending machines or taking bathroom breaks.
Whether the teacher was a good disciplinarian had a huge impact on how fast I could actually get down to the business of teaching, but laxity didn't turn the kids into ravening anti-Semites or Muslim supremacists—nor could it.
Some still think we can appease the beastliness out of the savages.

Sometimes it's just the fact that teachers in the UK are so overloaded with paperwork that they turn a blind eye to the problem of Islam. One of these days one of those children will walk into the classroom strapped with a bomb, stand close to the teacher and push the button. Then we will hear "How could this have happened?" Fort Hood all over again. I have seen video of Muslim preschoolers, girls as well as boys, screeming into the camera about how they live to die in jihad. Your colleague may be on the right track, quite unwittingly.
A child who is subjected to severe abuse by a parent or by some other person, can react in three main possible ways.
One involves denial, suppression of memory, etc; the person may even be so 'programmed' to be a victim, that they will be attacked by other abusers as their life proceeds. Since Islam is inherently and severely abusive, such a damaged person may, if they come into contact with Islam, even convert; just as a girl who's been raped or beaten by her father may end up with a succession of abusive 'lovers'. If you have no boundaries - because your sense of having any boundaries was destroyed early on - then you will let yourself be eaten.
Another response, identification with the abuser, will lead the sufferer to *become* an abuser themselves in later life; thus, the boy who is beaten, may himself grow up to beat others. Such a person, in the modern West, may be attracted to Islam because it mimicks the abuse he suffered and also offers 'power'.
But there is a third road: the person neither suppresses the abuse he or she suffered, nor mimicks it (indeed, the person may consciously vow NOT to become an abuser), but 'learns' from it; escaping at the first chance they get, he or she is thenceforth intelligently wary. And when such intelligently wary people, survivors of traumatic childhood abuse in a non-Muslim family or institution, encounter Islam - Islam that is a quintessence or formal codification of severe physical, sexual, mental and spiritual abuse [just read Wafa Sultan or Nonie Darwish or Brigitte Gabriel! or watch 'Submission'!] - they are repelled. They may not be able to articulate why. They may just, simply, feel in their bones that a very high proportion of the Muslims that they meet "smell" exactly like the (non-Muslim) abusers they've already endured and survived and escaped. And they are not to be ridiculed or belittled; for their 'negative attitude' is 100 % correct; it's their survival instinct kicking in, their alarm bells ringing.
