Are there any Jews left in any of the "Arab" lands? Is the corruption in Egypt, a corruption that one sees in almost all the Arab lands, where the rulers help themselves to a large chunk of the nation's wealth (no one, of course, can outdo the Al-Saud in that competition, and there is not a single Jew living in Saudi Arabia), the result of non-existent Jews? Is the poverty of ordinary Egyptians, a poverty that is also experienced by a great many people in the Arab-populated and Arab-dominated lands, to be attributed to Jews who do not live in those countries? Is the Arab mistreatment of all non-Arabs -- Kurds, Berbers, black Africans in the Sudan, Copts, Assyrians, Chaldeans, Maronites, and others -- to be attributed to the non-existent Jews? Is the despotism of Arab lands attributable to Jews, or to an ideology, Islam, that insists on blind obedience, to Islam, to the example of Muhammad, to the clerics who issue the fatwas, to the rulers as long as the rulers are Muslims? Is the economic underdevelopment that even the thirteen trillion dollars received by the Arab and Muslim states as oil (and gas) revenues, since 1973 alone, due to the hatred of bid'a, the inshallah-fatalism, and the despotic control of all economic activity by the governments of the region (itself a reflection of that Islam-promoted despotism) the responsibility of non-existent Jews, or of Islam, Islam, Islam?

I could, you could, anyone could go on. There's no need. When a sufficient number of non-Muslims grasp all the ways that Islam explains the impoverishment and wretchedness of Arab (and many non-Arab Muslim states, and the more they wish to mimic the Arabs, the more likely the people of those states will have to endure similarly wretched polities), and cease to think that they owe the Arabs and Muslims anything, and when the Arabs and Muslims themselves become aware of what we understand, and they show themselves completely unable to rebut what we have concluded, and some of them indeed echo what we say, embarrassedly no doubt but also unavoidably, then the Camp of Islam will be on the defensive, as it should be, so we, especially in the advanced West, can reduce the threat from Muslims and Islam to manageable proportions, and stop squandering so much time, so much money, so much weaponry, so much everything, on a matter that reallly can be handled, if the foolish in our governments are ignored, and the well-informed and cunning brought in.

So all those whorehouses in Pakistan are flourishing thanks to the Jews. And all those Muslim countries in Africa and Asia are mired in poverty and ignorance due to the Jews.

And no doubt that all the modern medicines, science, technology and techniques that are saving lives and improving the quality of life all around the world is the unique handiwork of Islam!

Muslims and Multi-Culturists want to have it both ways:
A. They protest heavily against any suggestion that Islam/ Islamic countries are backward, insisting that all cultures are to be equally appreciated, despite being different.
B. But when the consequence of that attitude is to take what the Islamic culture, Muslims, do in their own habitat, then they come up with: "Give them time, they will develop. You can't compare what happens there with what happens here. And: Oh, but since the Westerners are democratic and advanced, precisely because of that we primarily or even only focus on criticizing the Westerners."

It is time more and more Westerners and Western Muslims themselves hold Muslims accountable for what is said and done in the name of Islam worldwide, just as much as they would hold Westerners accountable for the same thing.

Imagine a rabbi or pastor saying on TV saying the same things about Muslims or Arabs (because the imam does not distinguish between faith and race either) as the imam says about Jews? How the PC MC people would come howling after the rabbi/ pastor. But we must have single standards worldwide!

The alternative for Muslims and PC MC's is to admit that Islamic countries is backward! but that would be bad publicity for Islam's effectiveness and truth about it being Gods literal word! It would even give God a bad name!

When others offer the consolations of bomfoggery, take it in, see what in practice it might mean or might lead to if practiced unilaterally (and that's the problem, isn't it: the unilateral nature of its practice), but never let it get in the way of realism and common sense, and in dealing these days with mass-murderers, common sense may demand bombs away.

And as for Justin's little "the Jews and the Arabs have been killing each for for thousands of years" -- such a statement contributes nothing to understanding the Lesser Jihad waged against the State of Israel, and is merely an expression of unwillingness to learn a bit of history and a bit about Islam. The Muslim Arabs have been killing non-Muslims (first Jews and Arabs in the Hijaz, then many other peoples as Islam's adherents managed to rapidly expand its domain) as a way of spreading Islam, whenever and wherever they were opposed. Jews have not "been killing Arabs" for thousands of years, and before Islam arrived, the Arabs (in Arabia), may have engaged in the usual raiding that characterized pre-Islamic societies, but there was no special animus, no ideology behind the raids that justified them, and promoted other raids, on other non-Muslims.

That kind of simple-minded remark ignores what happened to Christians in both the Middle East and North Africa, what happened to Zoroastrians in Iran, what happened to Hindus and Buddhists (and other non-Muslims) in India; it reduces the Jihad, against all non-Muslims, to some kind of tedious frustrating and, by implication, though the same poster would have you believe he is deeply interested in the welfare of humanity, a true devotee of Jesus Christ, when what he is really doing is misstating history in order to convey his underlying message: "A plague on both their houses" -- because those "Jews and Arabs [who] have been killing each other for thousands [sic] of years" which is an utterly false, and dangerous way, not only to misrpresent the history of aggressive and violent Islam, the "gift of the Arabs," and for the Arabs too, one might add, because Islam is a natural vehicle for Arab supremacism. And we know what "a plague on both their houses," even if embedded within, and camouflaged by, that bomfoggery at the beginning, is really a death sentence for Israel, surrounded as it is by Arab enemies who outnumber it 50 to 1 (if we count only the population of the states of the Arab League, and ignore Muslims elsewhere), with the stupendous oil revenues that keep, keep, keep on coming, and buy arms and armies of Western hirelings to spread propaganda of every kind. Including that which exploits those who are content to turn away from serious analysis of what goes in the world -- the real world, not the ideal world -- and instead suggest that we all take refuge in, let's face it, nothing but soothing bomfoggery.

Answer to the post above about what Muslims, it is asserted, surely must think:

Reply: Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld were the main architects of the war in Iraq, with by far the major role played -- though some refuse to believe it -- Bush.

Bush was President,and it was he, above all, who pushed for the war in Iraq. He was ignorant of Islam and did not know the difference between the Sunnis and the Shi'a.

The Vice-President, equally keen, was Richard Cheney, who still appears to be ignorant of Islam but, in his favor, he seems a harder man than Bush, and certainly has never praised Islam as a religion of "peace and tolerance."

Secretary of State was Colin Powell. He was opposed to the war in Iraq, but not because he thought there were better ways to fight the Jihad. Rather, it was because, as a long-time tennis partner of Prince Bandar, and a recipient of presents (his wife was given a Jaguar by Bandar, just a few days after Powell resigned and such a gift could be accepted without violating American law.

National Security Advisor was Condoleezza Rice, who was simply a go-along-to-get-along official, but one who had ignored various warnings about terror threats (see Richard Clarke).

Two of them, Feith and Wolfowitz, were admittedly naive about Islam, had never focussed on it, and were taken to the cleaners by various suave Iraqis in exile, above all by Ahmad Chalabi. But they also listened to other people, or to the opinions that they expressed in writing, such as Kanan Makiya. The Jihad against the Infidel nation-state of Israel certainly gets the most attention from Arab Muslims, who have until recently been quite good at getting the 80% of the world's Muslims who are not Arabs to join in making "Palestine" an important issue. But if you were to visit the Muslims in Pakistan, the chief issue is surely India, and if you were to visit Indonesia, the chief issue for those Muslims who take it most seriously are such things as the Christians in the Moluccas, the Hindus in Bali, the Chinese who have often taken, for protective coloration, Indonesian names but have refused to give up Christianity or Confucianism.

By now, as you know, all the local jihads are linked, all are essentially merely subsets of the larger, world-wide Jihad. Before the Muslims became more powerful, they concentrated on two Jihads: that against Israel, and that against India. But that was before two developments. I don't think "Palestine" is the number one issue among the world's Muslims. I think in each place one cause will be more or less prominent. In Afghanistan, the Taliban are outraged mainly by the presence of Infidels. In Pakistan, it is Indian control of Kashmir, and then, after Kashmir, Hindu dominance of India, which until the British came was under Muslim rule, and must be again. The same attitude can be found in Bangladesh. In southern Thailand, the Muslims who kill Buddhist monks, teachers, and farmers, may have only the vaguest knowledge of, and interest in, "Palestine." And in the Philippines Abu Sayyaf is hardly concerned with what happens in far-off Israel. For a while "Palestine" was, for the Muslims we were most likely to hear from -- the Arab Muslims -- the most important issue. And of coure it is very much in their interest to keep harping on this theme, and to play the victim. But a tour d'horizon of the Muslim lands shows that for local Muslims, local Infidels --whether Hindu, Buddhist, or Christian -- are going to be the Unbelievers whom Muslms must smite, whose laws and nation-states must be pulled down, as obstacles to the spread, and then the dominance, of Islam.

This statement is simply false, and echoes, disturbingly, antisemitic propaganda about "Jewish bankers." I allow myself to believe that you don't really think that way yourself (correct me if I am wrong, and I will have nothing more to say to you)-- I am assuming you are not a Muslim yourself, nor an antisemitic non-Muslim, for antisemitism clouds perception and judgment, especially when it comes to Islam, among those who suffer from it. You may be confusing the medieval period, when Jews were entrusted with the task of banking because Christians were not allowed to charge interest. Later, however, the Medici and other Italian bankers replaced, in many cases, Jewish bankers, and in the modern world, in the twentieth century, while there are some famous Jewish banking houses, Jews were actually under-represented -- as compared to their representation in other areas -- and remain so to this day. You can study up on this yourself. And don't be fooled by the names of formerly "Jewish" firms -- created, of course, precisely because in the last two centuries it was so hard for Jews to enter and rise in mainstream banking firms --where so many of the partners are non-Jews.

The business about "Jewish bankers" is a theme of European antisemites. It has almost nothing to do with Islamic antisemitism, which exists independently of, and exhibits notable differences from, that which originates in Western Christendom.

Look at who owns shares in Murdoch's operation. Look at the growth, everywhere, of Al Jazeera. What are you talking about -- the New York Times? Does that make Jews "media kings"? Give me the names of a single major newspaper in Great Britain, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, Russia, not to mention China, India, Brazil, etc. where there is something resembling "Jewish control of the media"? This is one more myth of the antisemites, and like all of those myths, dangerous.
