Hamas calls for "day of rage," Muslim member of Knesset threatens "third intifada"

Not that we'd expect Hamas to call for a day of hacky sack tournaments and indie rock concerts. In any event, things are going downhill fast in Jerusalem, and the usual suspects are egging it on. "'Day of rage': Riots in Jerusalem," from YNet News, March 16:

The day dubbed "the day of rage" by Hamas and extremist Islamic groups opened with riots - both in the holy city and on the way to it. Hundreds of Arabs burned tires and hurled stones at Border Guard officers at several locations throughout the city Tuesday morning. At least three officers and 11 rioters were lightly injured, and eight were detained. Meanwhile, in the North, a bus full of Muslim passengers on their way to al-Aqsa Mosque was stopped and turned back. Police said the bus was inspected following tip-offs of possible plans to riot in Jerusalem.
Arab MKs and members of the Higher Arab Monitoring Committee also arrived at the al-Aqsa Mosque Tuesday morning. "The Netanyahu government is dangerous and irresponsible, and is leading the region to a third intifada," said MK Talab El-Sana (United Arab List - Ta'al).MK Ahmad Tibi told Ynet he was inside the mosque: "There is a renewed occupation of east Jerusalem and the al-Aqsa Mosque, gunshots can be heard in every direction."
Dozens of masked rioters hurled stones at Border Guard officers near the Shuafat refugee camp in Jerusalem, and set fire to tires. The force dispersed the rioters using stun grenades. Two policemen were lightly injured and seven Palestinians were arrested.
In another incident, at the northern entrance to the Isawiya neighborhood in Jerusalem, masked protesters also burned tires and hurled stones at Border Guard officers. The rioters were calmed and dispersed by the village's elders. Security forces also dispersed masked rioters hurling stones near the Temple Mount's Majlis Gate....

"Day of rage" - something only Muslims could come up with. Problem is Islam gives them nothing but a whole life of rage and when they die they will find an eternity of rage.

The rest of the world needs to be enraged with Islam and keep it out of the West so that we can live in peace and not deal with the constant and eternal outrage of Islam.

'Rage' is the French for rabies, and Islam is the rabies of religions.

Threaten and bully, threaten and bully - the only two notes in the Islamic concerto.

I thought every day was a "Day of Rage" in islam...

"Day of Rage"? Is that something like the "Two Minutes Hate" of Orwellian fame?

More bad news for Israel. Here's the vague answer given by a supposed "supporter" of Israel. Here's the odious Helen Thomas and the weak and evasive White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs:

HELEN THOMAS, HEARST NEWS SERVICE: I'm sure the President is aware that it's against international law to annex occupied land. Why do we keep giving, as Vice President Biden did, iron-clad commitments to Israel when it violates international law? And the President says that our relationship is unshakeable. How can that be?

ROBERT GIBBS, WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY: Well, we enjoy a strong and important relationship with the country and the people of Israel. And we are --

THOMAS: Even when it violates the law? I mean, you go into this whole thing -- why should they be -- get this reprieve?

GIBBS: Well, again, we enjoy a strong relationship with the country and the people. We are committed to their security in a very important and dangerous --

THOMSAS: How about the Palestinian security?

GIBBS: Well, let me finish my answer, Helen -- in a very important region of the world. I think the Vice President, though, could not have been clearer on, as I said and as the Vice President said, on both the timing and the substance of the announcement that was made during his trip, that we have asked each side to refrain from the type of announcements that would shake the trust needed to sit down together and make some decisions on moving forward on a peace process.

So I think the Vice President was extremely clear on his trip there. I know the President looks forward to speaking with the Vice President. He's -- he'll get back very, very early tomorrow morning, and I anticipate that they'll either -- they'll likely talk either later in the weekend or first thing on Monday about what the Vice President saw, not just in Israel but in the region, as we try to move things forward.

THOMAS: We've already seen the violation on the part of one party. What is the U.S. going to do about it?

GIBBS: Well, again, I think that the Vice President was extremely strong in condemning what the Israeli government announced during his trip.
...................

With "friends" like this...

No mention of Israel's being the region's only democracy, surrounded by Muslims who want to see Israel "wiped off the map". Just a watery reference to "a strong relationship", without giving any reason or defense of that "relationship" at all. He then lauds the Vice President for his condemnation of Israel—*over the planned building of some apartments*.

Meanwhile, Israel's Muslim "neighbors"—including the "Palestinians"—continue to plot her destruction. The moral equivalence is shocking. I miss Tony Snow...

Westerners have every right to be outraged at the behaviour of Muslims and of Islam. Oriana Fallaci, a great Italian journalist who led an extraordinary life, and whose picture graces the right sidebar on JW's home page, wrote a book about it, "The Rage and the Pride" in which she writes [Pages 83-84]:

“I speak to the people who, though neither stupid nor evil, delude themselves in pietism or uncertainty or doubt. And to them I say: Wake up, folks, wake up! As intimidated as you are by the fear of going against the stream and looking racist (a grossly erroneous word, by the way, because the problem has nothing to do with a race: it has to do with a religion) you don’t understand or don’t want to understand that a Reverse Crusade is on march. As blinded as you are by the myopia and the stupidity of the Politically Correct, you don’t realize or don’t want to realize that a war of religion is being carried out. A war they call Jihad. A war that does not aim at the conquest of our territory maybe, (maybe?), but certainly aims at the conquest of our souls and at the disappearance of our freedom. A war which is conducted to destroy our civilization, our way of living and dying, of praying or not praying, of eating and drinking and dressing and studying, and enjoying Life. As numbed as you are by the propaganda of the falsehood, you don’t put or do not want to put in your mind that if we do not defend ourselves, if we do not fight, the Jihad will win. It will win, yes, and destroy the world that somehow or other we have been able to build.”

The Arabs are trying to turn East Jerusalem into a "no go" area. This will not work in Israel, the Jews are wise to them. So should the rest of the world be, especially France, England, Holland, Denmark, Belgium, where these "no go" areas already exist. Building homes and synagogues must be allowed anywhere in Israeli territories without Arab apartheid restrictions.

The "Third Intifada" called for by Hamas is a call for Arab apartheid. Jewish settlements within Israel must not be restricted by Arab "no go" areas. Let the Arabs move to their own countries, if they want to be segregated. Meanwhile the wishy-washy Washington bureaucrats dither as to what to do.

A letter to the world from Jerusalem

Today is an historic day in Israel as it marks The Temple Institutes *FIRST* ....

"INTERNATIONAL TEMPLE MOUNT AWARENESS DAY"

It was on this day, Rosh Chodesh, the first day of the month of Nisan that the creator of the world, the G-d of Israel, conferred upon His children the ability and the responsibility to make change in the world, to perfect His creation. And it was on this day, one year later, that the Tabernacle was dedicated in the desert. The Holy Temple is the very jewel in the crown of G-d's creation, yet today the Temple Mount is desolate. The Holy Temple lies in ruins, and the Moslem Wakf has commandeered the Temple Mount, forbidding all but Moslems to approach the Mount freely and to raise their voices in prayer to G-d.

The Temple Institute has, along with other organizations, declared today, March 16, 2010, the first day of the month of Nisan, the month of our redemption from Egypt and the month of our future redemption, to be THE FIRST ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL TEMPLE MOUNT AWARENESS DAY. We have called upon all who wish to ascend the Mount, Jews and Gentiles, in accordance to Jewish law, to gather at the foot of the Mount this morning. The Israeli police have declared the Mount off limits on this day to all but Moslems, citing Arab threats to commit violence as a response to our desire to ascend the Mount to mark this holy day. The police are thereby by preventing us from fulfilling our commitment to G-d and Torah, and from exercising our inalienable rights as citizens of a democratic society.

Once again, following a decades-old pattern, the police have abandoned the task which has been entrusted to them to uphold, and rather than punish the inciters to violence, they have punished the intended victims of the calls to violence.

Nevertheless, the police cannot prevent us from performing the most important and essential task of petitioning the Prime Minister of the State of Israel, and demanding immediate change: Jews and Gentiles must be allowed to pray on the Temple Mount. Today is the day that together we can make our voice heard. Below are the telephone, fax and email contacts for the Prime Minister's office:

Following is a suggested text:

Dear Prime Minister Netanyahu,

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the Temple Mount. As you know, the Temple Mount is the holiest site in the world for the Jewish people, yet the Muslim authorities, aided by Israel Police, systematically deny the right of religious expression on the Mount to all non-Moslems. On numerous occasions the High Court of Justice has upheld the Jewish people’s right to pray at the site, yet the police continue to prevent this. Furthermore, Jewish visitors are harassed and degraded. This discrimination is a grave trampling of civil rights. Israeli law is not recognized by the Wakf authorities; illegal digging has destroyed priceless historical remnants of Jerusalem’s Jewish history.

Please, end this travesty and allow Jewish freedom of expression at the Temple Mount. I urge you to include the Temple Mount in your “Heritage Plan” of sites significant to the Jewish people.

Sincerely,
(your name here)

Whether you copy and paste this message, or write your own message, please keep your words courteous, respectful and focused on one thing only:

GRANTING FREEDOM OF ACCESS AND FREEDOM OF WORSHIP ON THE MOUNT.

The Prime Minister's office will receive and be strengthened and encouraged by our thousands of messages. We are taking a stand for our futures and our children's futures and making a difference. Together we will perform the task which G-d bequeathed us when we left the Egyptian house of bondage and became free men and women forever.

The above information came to my email courtesy The Temple Institute, so I'm offering it now for those that would also like to send Mr. Netanyahu either the suggested text (above), or a letter of support of your own. Please help end this injustice by writing him as well. Thank you.

Thank you, Robert :)

Thanks for providing that video, Johndoe ...that was awesome!

We love you Israel!

Important Update ....

Here's a video clip from today in Jerusalem near the Temple Mount, courtesy The Temple Institute, showing how the Jews were once again refused access to the Temple Mount on this historic day.

A must see video!

Good vibes from Jerusalem in that video Champ. As the Rabbi says, the Temple Mount is for the whole world. I was there last summer and it was a powerful experience....positive and negative. Had two unpleasant encounters with the Muslim guardians of Al-Aqsa and the Dome.....spewing their lies and hatred towards Jews and non-Muslims. Truly appalling. And then a great discussion with some Israeli police, who are up there to stop Muslims throwing rocks down at the worshippers at the Kotel. The fact that it is open all the time and from all gates only for Muslims and non-Muslims restricted to morning visiting from only one gate is infuriating. And the rule that non-Muslims are not allowed to pray there is quite deranged. Although I saw quite a few Christians praying up there. We need a day of rage against the Muslim occupation of the Temple Mount. Moshe Dayan made a huge mistake handing it over to the Arabs after the 6 day war. He should have told the Arabs to get lost, flattened Al Aqsa and the Dome and inaugurated the Third Temple.

The Palestinian Muslims threw rocks from inside the Al-Aqsa mosque at the people at the wailing wall below. As a result police limited access to the Al-Aqsa mosque. Hamas call this renewed occupation. Cause => Effect. The stone throwers want the extra protests and took the actions to trigger them.

When I see the continual raging, the frenzied screaming and yelling and vandalism, of the Mohammedans, I am reminded of a passage from the writings of Dorothy L Sayers, British novelist and translator of Dante, which was quoted in our parish 'pew sheet' one Sunday:

"The Joy of Misery.

"Love for anything is not news (to journalists) except in Heaven - and that is why [Dante's] Inferno is so full of people angrily beating and biting one another - they *like* that sort of thing.

"They *want* to be cross and miserable.

"They *enjoy* chewing things to pieces, the little nasties!

"It must be part of the frustration of Hell that there is nothing good there to chew up - the good is beyond their reach; they can only chew one another".

[from the anthology 'Dorothy L Sayers - A Careless Rage For Life' {note: 'rage' in the title of the anthology, is obviously used in a positive sense, since it is talking about Miss Sayers' own boundless enthusiasm to embrace and affirm everything good}.

The problem, of course, is that the rage, the anger of the denizens of Hell - who have *chosen* to be there - the orthodox Christian interpretation of the so-called fire of Hell, is that it is merely the experience of the Glory of God, as it appears to the person who has obstinately closed him or herself *against* that Glory - is impotent; the rage of the Mohammedans, though similar to that demonic fury, does so terribly often, in the present world, seek out something good, honorable and beautiful to chew up, smash, and destroy.

Deep within the ummah, of course, where there are no non-Muslims left to hurt or kill, the Muslims turn upon one another, angrily beating and biting each other, wallowing in their wrath and misery, exactly as Dante portrays the denizens of Hell.
