I tucked the story away in my 'mosques behaving badly' file. Perhaps I should rename the file, though, and call it 'what mosques are really all about'.
I am quite, quite sure that Allied soldiers who have served in both Gulf Wars, and those who are serving or have served in Iraq, and those presently in combat in Afghanistan, and also those Indian soldiers who intervened in the Bangladesh/ Pakistan mess, would have similar stories to tell about the use of mosques as fortresses and arsenals and command bunkers by the adherents of the Religion of Blood and War.
