Al-Mutarajjam at Translating Jihad notes: "Quite often we will hear Muslims claim to be anti-Zionist but not anti-Jewish. However, in this essay the author shows that Islam is intrinsically anti-semitic, regardless of what 'the Zionists' do."
"Jordanian newspaper: 'How Can (the Jews), Being Unclean, Claim Possession of His Mosque, to Defile It with Their Stench and Their Filthy Deeds?!," from Translating Jihad, March 6:
The Jews and Moral Impudence
Dr. 'Ali al-'Atoum
As-Sabeel, 2 Mar 2010[...] But the Jews are not from the true religion, nor linked to Abraham and his children in anything. Allah in his noble book called them kuffar (infidels), saying: "Cursed are those who disbelieved from the children of Israel on the tongue of David and 'Isa (Jesus) son of Mary." He said regarding their relationship to Abraham: "Abraham was not a Jew nor a Christian, but he was an upright Muslim, and joined not gods with Allah" [Qur'an 3.67]. The text of the book of Allah has decreed that the closest to Abraham and his heritage are the Muslims and their prophet, for thus it says: "The closest in kin to Abraham are those who follow him, as are also this Prophet, and those who believe, and Allah is the protector of those who have faith" [Qur'an 3.68].
For these holy places in the city of Khalil al-Rahman and the surrounding area are purely an Islamic inheritance, set apart by the Prophet more than 1,400 years ago for the owner of Galilee Abu Raqiya Tamim ibn Ausa al-Dari and his companions, and for those that come after them until the day of resurrection, as an exclusive gift.
Now concerning the Bilal ibn Rabah Mosque in Bethlehem, may Allah be pleased with it, which they [the Jews] call the Tomb of Rachel (the wife of Jacob)--what an evil claim (they make). Bilal, who who was from the Levant, was the muezzin (i.e. the one who makes the call to prayer) of the Prophet. His name, body, voice, and faith increased, as did his purity and cleanliness. How can they, being unclean, claim possession of his mosque, to defile it with their stench and their filthy deeds?! While they are attacking our holy sites and insulting our places of worship, where are the Muslims, who follow the commandments of their prophet and his successors and followers, and who respect the religions and minarets of others, even during war?!...
"For these holy places in the city of Khalil al-Rahman and the surrounding area are purely an Islamic inheritance, set apart by the Prophet more than 1,400 years ago for the owner of Galilee Abu Raqiya Tamim ibn Ausa al-Dari and his companions, and for those that come after them until the day of resurrection, as an exclusive gift."
Not the city of David, not the city of Jesus, but the city of one "Khalil al-Rahman." Jeruslaem is "purely an Islamic inheritance, set apart by the Prophet more than 1,400 years ago." Curious, isn't it, that nowhere in the Qur'an does "Jeruslaem" appear, that it was only after Muhammad's death that various sites were suggested as that where the Night Journey, or Miraj, took place (when Muhammad was said to go from the earth to the seventh heaven and back, on his winged steed Al Buraq, all within -- mirabile dictu -- a single night and day), and finally, an early Ummayyad caliph, ruling from Damascus, had the bright idea to place the vague "al-masjid al-aksa" (the "furthest mosque") right smack on top of the Temple Mount, in Jerusalem, thus staking a religio-political claim to the holiest site in Judaism, and one smack in the middle of the city holiest to both Jews and those dangerous shirkers, the Christians. Perfect for a faith that lays claim to the entire world, but back then was starting in the neighborhood, conquering Jews and Christians and claiming everything associated with them as Islamic, Islamic, Islamic.
And now we even have, more specifically, a local habitation and a name given in answer to the question who owns Jerusalem. Why, it's "the owner of Galilee Abu Raqiya Tamim ibn Ausa al-Dari and his companions, and for those that come after them until the day of resurrection, as an exclusive gift."
So do not ask for whom Jerusalem exists, or who has a claim. It's not the Jews, it's not the Christians, it's not all of humanity or some such treacly idea beloved of bomfoggery blowhards everywehere. It's Abu Raqiya Tamim ibn Ausa al-Dari and his companions, and "for those that come after them." So will the descendants of Abu Raqiya Tamim ibn Ausa al-Dari please raise their hands and identify themselves? Apparently you own Jerusalem and indeed, all of the Galilee.
If we'd only known, think of how much trouble could have been spared everyone.
Where ARE the Muslims who respect the religions and minarets of others, even during war?!
Can they even call themselves Muslims if they don't fight those who refuse to worship the muslim god or pay homage (and taxes) to those that do?
Article after article, I keep coming back to the same question:
How do we get this stuff out to the man/woman in the street? If the average folks new about the venom towards non-Muslims being spewed in Darul Islam (not to mention the outright oppression meted out to those infidels unlucky enough to have to call Darul Islam "home"), they might get a clue what Islam is about...and what a fraud the Muslim-advocacy groups are.
The information is there for the digesting, but it's kept deliberately obscured, underneath the radar of the average Joe/Jane. How can we break through?
Hugh,
"Khalil al-Rahman" is an arabic name for Hebron, not Jerusalem.
The Translating Jihad website article mentions Jerusalem, as well as Hebron and Bethlehem, and as typical of Arab and Muslim rhetoric the article is garbled, but this seems to be an article in response and about the "palestinian" furor concerning Israel's designation of several Jewish holy sites in Hebron and Bethlehem as Israeli national heritage sites.
This is a typical hate filled rant from a muslim. I don't want to say arab muslim because I know many muslims all over the world holds the same views even though they may not say it aloud. It is typical of these muslims to claim all nonmuslim religious sites as their's.
What are the end goal sof muslims like them?
They eventually want to claim all of earth as their's. After they wipe out all other religions and plant the muslim flag on top of the vatican, the most violent most islamic of them all will be the top dog. From then on the whole world will look like one big afghanistan or somalia with the taliban types in charge.
This a rabid hatred of Jews that runs deep in the psyche
of Muslims.Even if there were no country called Israel situated in the Middle East, this hatred would still exist.
What a surprise. Anti-Semitism coming out of the Muslim world. Pretty vile stuff but so typical.
Cornelius asks a very good question above which is how do we disseminate this putridity to the average Joe and Jane? I have a sense that by a kind of cultural osmosis many in the body politic of one Western country after another are beginning to "get it" about Islam. In America several polls have shown that some 1/3 or more of Americans think Islam is fundamentally flawed. I remember seeing a poll result from The Netherlands a year or so ago which showed that a simple majorty of the Dutch in that poll believed that the greatest error in Dutch history was the establishment of an easy immigration policy. Such numbers would not have been manifest only a decade ago.
I myself know of several people over the past eight or nine years who were loathe to condemn Islam in the early days after 9/11 but who do so now quite readily. This would include my own mother. Still, Cornelius is right to be impatient. I too am sometimes frustrated that more folks don't see what is plainly before them. But big ideas, such as the concept that a major religion can be rotten throughout, don't take hold with a large majority of people until all those stages, the last of which is acceptance of a belief that was at first roundly rejected, occur. So, short-term I'm annoyed many times, but long-term I see blue skies ahead. Such blue skies, I might add, will only be seen if not only most non-Muslims come to the realization that Islam itself is putrid but also that many Muslims do, particularly females. I'm counting on this, just as many who were Marxists when young became disillusioned with it and left this equally malevolent ideology. In short, we need a lot of Whittaker Chambers in the Muslim world.
Meanwhile, for those in public positions like Robert Spencer and Geert Wilders, I think it's smart to not condemn all Muslims, only what they believe in. Besides, condemning all Muslims may very well drive many Muslims, who would otherwise leave Islam eventually, completely back into the Islamic fold because they themselves have been put on the defensive.
I'll close here with my two cents worth by invoking that old saying that patience is a virtue. Yes it is, but it's damn hard to remember this on a daily basis. Meanwhile, I think we all have to do our little bit and try our best to convey to those we know and come across that Islam is inimical to liberty and lots of other good stuff.
Oh, "del" has explained to me that Khalil al-Rahman refers to Hebron, not Jerusalem. Well, I'll let my original stand as a tribute to my own ignorance. Or perhaps others can silently supply the toponym "Hebron" wherever I wrote Jerusalem, excise the bit about Muhammad's Night Journey and the Umayyad caliph, and go from there, in good old mutatis mutandis fashion.
Sorry.
The total denial and reversal of plain historical truth that takes place in this rant by a Jordanian cleric - he calls himself 'Dr', forsooth! - is mind-wrenching.
And the wholesale projection onto the Jews of all the evil deeds and vile motives that we see exhibited by so many, many Mohammedans worldwide, both historically and in the present day, is downright clinical.
One feels physically sick after having read it; the willed, malevolent disconnect from reality, from truth, is so extreme.
A historically-informed clinical psychologist could use this stuff in class to exemplify what happens when a human being, or a human group, having given itself wilfully over to evil, while absolutely refusing to acknowledge that it *is* or has done evil, projects its own wickedness onto others; indeed, projects that wickedness onto its victims or intended victims, accusing them of having done all the wicked things that *it* has done to *them*, and fully intends to do to them in future.
There is a good analysis, in layman's language, of this species of moral monstrousness, in M Scott Peck's 'People of the Lie', chapter two, 'toward a psychology of evil'.
I quote:
"A predominant characteristic…of the behaviour of those I call evil is scapegoating.
'Because in their hearts they consider themselves above reproach, they must lash out at anyone who does reproach them.
'They sacrifice others to preserve their self-image of perfection…
'Scapegoating works through a mechanism psychiatrists call projection.
'Since the evil, deep down, feel themselves to be faultless, it is inevitable that when they are in conflict with the world, they will invariably perceive the conflict as the world’s fault.
'Since they must deny their own badness, they must perceive others as bad.
' They project their own evil onto the world. They never think of themselves as evil; on the other hand, they consequently see much evil in others…
'Evil, then, is most often committed in order to scapegoat, and the people I label as evil are chronic scapegoaters.
'In ‘The Road Less Travelled’ I defined evil ‘as the exercise of political power – that is, the imposition of one’s will upon others by overt or covert coercion – in order to avoid spiritual growth [p. 279]’. In other words: the evil attack others instead of facing their own failures.
'Spiritual growth requires the acknowledgement of one’s need to grow.
'If we cannot make that acknowledgement, we have no option except to attempt to eradicate the evidence of our imperfection." END QUOTE
There is much in this that rings a bell with anyone who has observed Mohammedan behaviour.
And from the third chapter 'the encounter with evil in everyday life' -
"...the time is right, I believe, for psychiatry to recognise a distinct new type of personality disorder to encompass those I have named evil.
'In addition to the abrogation of responsibility {and doesn't Islam specialize in *that*!! - dda} that characterizes all personality disorders, this one would specifically be distinguished by:
'a. consistent destructive, scape-goating behaviour, which may often be quite subtle {in the case of Westerners, perhaps...in Islam it seems to be open and blatant - dda}
'b. excessive, albeit usually covert, intolerance to criticism and other forms of narcissistic injury {check - the 'honor-shame, zero-sum-game mentality of dar al Islam - dda}.
'c. pronounced concern with a public image and self-image of respectability, contributing to a stability of life-style, but also to pretentiousness and denial of hateful feelings or vengeful motives {check. Muslims show this among themselves, or when they have to 'smile and lie' and try to look harmless while in a position of weakness among Infidels - dda}.
d. intellectual deviousness {IOW – LYING} with an increased likelihood of a mild schizophrenic-like disturbance of thinking at times of stress".
{Yes, 'schizophrenic-like disturbance' is about right; but in the case of Mohammedans, I don't think 'mild' is the right word for what happens - dda}.
Wonder how the world press would react if something even tepidly anti-Islamic were printed in an Israeli newspaper?
Now concerning the Bilal ibn Rabah Mosque in Bethlehem, may Allah be pleased with it, which they [the Jews] call the Tomb of Rachel (the wife of Jacob)--what an evil claim (they make).
......................
Somehow, Jacob and Rachel do not seem here to be "Muslim prophets", but just more "filthy Jews".
Wellington, you wrote:

Great post Wellington, I agree with you 100 %. I think that with people like Hesperado, darcy and others we have the same endgoal but a different strategy.
Geert Wilders was saying that he believed "our culture to be much better than their culture". And whereas Muslims call us Kuffar, Unbelievers" we by the same token can call them "Unbelievers" in the values of our culture. Perhaps we should not just want the demise of their culture but even more the slow rise of our culture in bits and parts among the Muslims, as they are in communication with us.
DDA, great post about M. Scott Peck, whose book, the road less travelled I marveled about many years ago.
So: We know we are imperfect and need to grow. We admit mistakes if we can. We therefore enjoy and cherish freedom of speech, which gives us information of all sorts of mistakes and thus permits inner and societal growth.
But many muslims; they must preserve their inner conviction of perfection and they reject criticism, freedom of speech, and admitting mistakes, shortcomings. Hence they need scapegoating.
Let this also be a great difference between the 2 cultures; the Enlightenment-Democratic one and Islam.
Rachel's tomb existed before the Koran and before Mohammed. Islam specializes in taking over other people's holy sites and turning them into Islamic ones, manufacturing a far-fetched history of why it has always been Muslim. They have done it in Israel. They have done it in India, Afghanistan, Turkey, and anywhere they are allowed to seize power. Islam's lies are repeated by Muslims and treated as holy writ. They allow no rational discussion on these topics. That's because they don't care about the truth. They only care about expanding Islam and its power base. The truth exposes Islam for what it is, a fabric of lies built upon lies.
All cultures and civilizations have tended to construct histories slanted to justify their superiority vis-a-vis the Other, and closely related to this, to justify and give tendentious contextual meaning to their expansion and conquest of other territory.
The West, however, was the only culture to develop genuine historiography truly interested in the truth, even if the truth reflected blemishes. This is because primarily formative for the substance of the West were Judaeo-Christianity and the Graeco-Roman civilization.
That said, the virtues inherent in Western historiography have unfolded a paradoxical logic which may be expressed by the curious locution: "Too much virtue." I.e., the modern West may well be the only civilization that has extended the virtues of the love of truth and self-criticism into morbidly hectic mutations of themselves: The modern West may be the only empire that has revised history in order to undermine itself. And, of course, part of that revisionist history constructed by the modern West involves, and invites, the ongoing whitewashing and enabling of one its deadliest -- not to mention oldest -- enemies, Muslims.
I was forwarded this episode of an Israeli show that shows a PLO spokesman giving lessons to Israelis in how to stake a (false) historico-religious claim:

The above essay could only be published in a Jordanian newspaper with official approval.
Islamic hatred of the 'other' (especially Jews) hypocrisy and taqiyya are intrisic to Mohammed's aggressive system.
The Amman Declaration claims: '…there is no country in the world with more religious harmony, camaraderie and goodwill than Jordan…'
Wow! Such excess! Even to the point of denying the Jews' descent from Abraham. Shame on Jordan.
Dr. 'Ali al-'Atoum's denunciation of all Jews can only be categorized as hate speech.
Jordan is not an oasis of 'cameraderie', free speech or 'goodwill'.
We oughtn't to hold our breath waiting for equal opportunity for Jews and others to respond to this cruel and hateful twaddle.
