Somewhere along the line, after allowing her to give presentations with her back to the class, they decided enough was enough. "Que. government forced woman from classroom for refusing to remove face covering," from the Canadian Press, March 2:
MONTREAL - A Muslim student who was kicked out of a Quebec classroom for wearing a religious face-covering has accused the provincial government of trampling on her human rights.
She has filed a complaint with the Quebec Human Rights Commission.
But the government is sticking by its guns.
A spokesman for the province's immigration minister says the woman could have stayed in the French class had she agreed to remove her niqab for certain exercises.
The woman's teachers say the garment kept her from improving her enunciation and other language skills.
No kidding.
The school reportedly asked the government to intervene after it spent months trying to accommodate her religious beliefs.
Among other things, the school allowed her to give oral presentations with her back facing the class.
The government move is earning some plaudits, even from moderate Muslim groups.
"after it spent months trying to accommodate her religious beliefs."
Months!! sheesh...
Good on the Quebec gov't. Of course, Quebec is well versed in all of it's laws. They have lots of practice from prosecuting all the English speaking populace who don't conform to the two language set up :)
Still, I'm glad to see this. Wait for the backlash tho...
This woman is not interested in learning, only Islamic supremacism. That's it. But watch the dhimmi HRC where foreign religions and cultures trump education.
Isn't she supposed to be in her bag at home? Funny how women are to not be seen and not be heard in Islam-o-land, (and Islam-o-land wannabe,) unless they are an irritant to normal people.
I keep hearing about how Muslims demand respect. Well, time to give as good as you get, otherwise we're going to tangle. It appears that they are in Quebec. Vive la Liberte!
imagine ... she's proud to wear the garment of the enslaved woman, where her circumstance would be having no rights, and she's miffed ...
More and more across the provinces we are seeing burqas everywhere. These women will not even speak to you if you address them in public - one woman to another.
That girl has been given more than enough privileges. No integration without assimilation. If she wants to live in the civilised world she has to adapt to that world. End of story.
I guess even Canadians are losing patience with this idiocy.
As to this woman in the Niqab—isn't learning French Haram? After all, there was no French in Mohammed's day. French must be nothing but worthless bi'da!
enough of this pc crap, if you cannot fit in our country get the hell out and go back to your 7th century failed islamic state. these people come here to get away from their repressive countries and then continue to live the same way. in Canada we can thank PET for our open border policy of allowing scum from islamic states entering our country.
I bet they'd speak to us if we addressed them as, "Hey bitch".
Quebec's motto is "Je me souviens"..I Remember..Unoficially referring to the domineering English ruling business class of the modern era. Rene Levesque,a Korean War U.S. correspondent, took power in 1976 with his Nationalist/seperatist agenda with the Parti Quebecois.
The "silent revolution" was no longer silent after that. Strict language laws (Bill 101 notably) along with a troupe of empowered "Language Police" cracked down on English only signs and all companies had to make French the working language. Many Head Offices and English left for Toronto and Calgary or anywhere else.
Can we take a tip or two from Quebec? Mais oui..Look at Herouxville as well for even more..

"Among other things, the school allowed her to give oral presentations with her back facing the class."
She obviously excelled at public speaking.
LOL Isabella.
Great visual....
"More and more across the provinces we are seeing burqas everywhere."
That's so sad.
Oh, Canada.
The people in Western countries should not be subjected to this crap! If these retrograde savages cannot respect and honor our traditions and culture, they should not be in our countries.
I realize that the social engineers are of the opinion that they will eventually come around and the best way to achieve integration is to expose them to our way of life. Europe is living proof that this theory is WRONG! They disrupt our schools, our courts, our legal system, our factories and offices with their incessant demands and law suits. They force us to submit to cultural sensitivity indoctrination in our own countries, when it it they who should be learning how to adapt and respect our culture. After all, they CHOSE to migrate to our part of the world and become citizens of our countries. The multiculturalists have screwed up our world big time.
Muslim immigration should have never happened but it is not too late to stop it before these people do any more damage. I have tried not to despise them because I know that's what they want but I can't help it. Muslims think they can demand respect just like islam demands submission. They are so wrong, despite Obama's obsequious speeches and promises.
I'm surprised they even let it go that far - giving presentations with her back turned! Did her religion mandate that? Bravo to whatever university finally cracked down on that nonsense! Makes me proud to be a Canadian and a Quebecker!
When will we get the message. Islam is out to take over the west. They only want it their way. If islam will not intergrate then remove it from the free westsern world!!
This is a smoke screen. Whilst we are looking the other way the "stealth jihad will continue!!
Hey, Canada! You won the hockey gold medal! Don't take this sort of crap from Muslim supremacists! They can't even skate!
What really kills me is this this............The demanding of respect for all their cultural customs, whilst 1.)completely disrespecting ours BOTH in the West and especially in Muslim countries....
hey,I've always been a pretty radical leftist, discovered heavy duty feminist philosophy at 11 etc....so,ergo,if she wants to wear her sheet so be it-even tho IMHO she's an obvious victim of "Stockholm syndrome"....BUT THEN...why is she picking and choosing? She's out in public w/MEN,STRANGE MEN?!?I thought she was trying to be the perfect little "cum receptacle"....whats the use of edifying your mind if you are going to be stuck in a harem all day?Actually,I understand, you have to have something to think about in such a stultifying atmosphere........I really don't mean to be so crude......but (semi off topic here)I couldn't sleep in the wee hrs of the morning and stumbled across a documentary on JLTV...talking about whats going on in college campuses all across North America....the whole leftist Israel=Apartheid sh*t,I mean I knew it was bad,but the content of some of these speeches shocked me,free speech is one thing, but to assert as facts things and then claim things like "I didnt bring my list" etc......Its almost like hearing speeches in early 30's Germany...really,really frightening....But what kills is this:When they talk of Israel being apartheid...Umm what about Saudi Arabia?!?Everyone knows what its like there, but?!?Or is just that Palestinians are the cause du jour?I've been Israel-granted several decades ago and I saw Jews ,X-stians,and obviously people that were Muslim/Arab doing the same things and exercising the same rights. There were mosques, muezzins calling prayer etc. When was the last time anyone heard of a shul /or church in Saudi Arabia.Hell,I had a born again h.s friend who was bringing a bible to her hubby who worked in S.A. and it was confiscated at customs........Its just that logically it baffles me...If the West is so bad why are you here?If you say you want Sharia go where Sharia is......Hey we're not perfect there are many things I dont like about our society.....BUT to proclaim you want special rights, just so you can then turn around and treat others w/EVEN MORE disrespect...I don't get it,it does not compute it my brain......I've been ruminating on this for months....Sorry about the diatribe, but its been building, and no one wants to hear it-sigh-I definately am not the most logical person-but this whole leftist/hate Israel on campuses thing has me utterly baffled......I mean how would WE react if Canada started lobbing bombs over the border at civilians.Despite mistakes, and I've done my research, the Israeli army has been remarkably careful......Why aren't these kids protesting about the several million killed over the last 15 yrs in the Congo?!Now THATS atrocity........
the rant runneth over,Kittybootz
I wear a cross. I don't meet too many Muslimahs in my particular part of Australia, but I think they notice it; possibly more than a non-Muslim might. Their eyes flicker...
All of us in the counter-jihad - unless we're in a context where it would be downright life-threatening to do so, or where such signals are not allowed, in the name of a neutral public space - can choose to use 'the power of context', by giving off little signals that say 'the writ of Islam does not run here'.
I was on a train, just before Christmas. In a seat across the aisle were three Muslimahs, Malaysians, one in aggressively-Islamic garb (resembling chador - face and hands visible, the rest enveloped in cloth). And every time she looked across the aisle she saw not only me, wearing my cross, but *another* Aussie matron in the seat behind, a plump young woman (with considerable decolletage and two small children), *also* wearing a cross. For her to encounter two cross-wearers, in a suburban train, told her loud and clear: "this is NOT dar-al-Islam".
Wear a Cross, if you in any way identify yourself as a Christian. Wear a Star of David, or other appropriate symbol, if you are Jewish. (Indeed, in some settings, Gentile Friends of Zion - whether religious or atheist - might choose to don the Star of David as a deliberate sign of solidarity - if frequenting, for example, a University campus on which there are Jews as well as Muslims ). I leave it to others to decide in what ways they will 'fly the flag' of dar al Harb and of their particular tradition. But the more people do so, the better.
It doesn't just rattle the Muslims; it encourages our fellow kafir. I know that now I have learnt how to distinguish Sikhs from Mohammedans, the discovery that my turban-wearing taxi-driver is a Sikh, is always a great relief, and I make a point, in such cases, of expressing a courteous welcome to Australia, and briefly alluding to my knowledge of the courageous fight that Sikhs, in the past, have put up against the Mohammedans.
